My husband and I stayed here for an overnight getaway in one of the three Executive Suites. I highly recommend them if you are not traveling with children. They are brand new, beautiful and huge. There isn’t a kitchen like the other suites but there is a coffee pot and microwave. We did have 2 irons and called down for an ironing board that was never brought. I do agree the front desk are not very friendly and they are now doing check ins in the new restaurant which is a little strange but I would come back just to stay in these new suites. The TVs are huge and the bathroom shower is luxurious. Close to the Biltmore and many awesome restaurants like Fig, Ruth Chris and Red Stag.
We wanted to love it, but as a former Belmond employee, I know that the way the guest is greeted is EVERYTHING. Check in was HORRIBLE. Got there at 3. Our room was not ready, but I did get a promise of a phone call once the room was ready. Three hours went by - no phone call. We went back to the hotel three hours later to yet another TERRIBLE front desk experience from Zoey. I was already way aggravated - keep customer promises!!! But she did nothing - just blamed the other front desk employee by saying, "oh she does that all the time and its so annoying." Like, what? Threw the door keys at me. Its dark and the resort is big. She said, "oh just go out the driveway, take a right and its up the hill. We were 20 minutes, wandering around other people's places just trying to find our room. TERRIBLE. Is there a place to eat? Don't ask Zoey. She pointed to the lobby and said, Oh you may be able to eat here, but make a reservation." Here was literally a lobby? Here where? As you can imagine, this just set the tone. Upon entering our unit, it was very clean - winner! But, don't expect any cool extras like pillows or blankets. I called for an extra blanket and they said, "Oh, well I guess I can try to find one". WHAT???? Ladies, bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Don't count on the cool freebies that everyone else gives you. Bed was uncomfortable. Have no idea if there really was a pool, or a hot tub or anything else. Zoey probably doesn't know, either. So many nice places to stay. I would not return here. It all could have been changed with a promise kept, a nice hello and attention to detail.…
Spent one night in a three bedroom unit. With only a few exceptions we were very pleased with the accommodations after a six hour drive, arriving after midnight. We didn’t have to be at an appointment until 10 A.M. and were thinking we could sleep in as we arrived so late. Starting around 6:00 A.M. (5 our time), we found out how thin the floors were as we were awakened by kids running and stomping in the unit above. Attempted to call the office, just to find out the wall phone wasn’t operational. Tapping on the ceiling didn’t help. Using cell phone to contact the office, they said they would take care of the noise. After a while, the running slowed down, but never stopped. Everything else was okay, but be aware of no sound insulation between units.
My sister and I travel frequently, and loved staying at the Residence at Biltmore. We each had our own room and own bathroom. Perfect clean little kitchen and living room. It will make you feel right at home! Loved the balcony. It was beautifully spotless, great bedding, comfy furniture, and great service! Yes, the building itself is older, but the apartment room was perfect. It's unique, fun, and quiet! Wish I could throw in an extra couple of stars for the rating.
Looks nice on outside, but they never took out our garbage. Warned about racoons and bears in trash cans. Peeling plaster and large holes in walls. Tv cable did not work. We were there a week. Other rude quests.
