My two girlfriends and I chose the Crooked Oak to meet for our yearly getaway and I am so glad we did. I have stayed at several B & B's over the past years and this one is the best by far. Patti and Bear have such a beautiful place inside and out and their food is fantastic. I really... More

We stay in B&B's all over the world and by far this is one of the best we've stayed. Patty & Bear were wonderful and inviting hosts who are more than willing to help make your stay at their B&B and your trip to Asheville memorable. Another reason we chose this B&B was the perfect compromise between country solitude in... More

We spent a week at the Inn as our base camp for great hiking/kayaking/rafting in the greater Asheville area and the great restaurants downtown. The location of the Inn is great - just 10-15 minutes from downtown but "away" in a beautiful spot. The Inn's patio with fountain in the midst of the woods is beautiful and relaxing. The other... My sister and I just returned from our weekend at Crooked Oak and it could not have been a more perfect chance to be together and relax. Everything from the setting, the incredible breakfasts, the beautifully decorated and cozy rooms to the 2 innkeepers, Patti and Bear....we could not have picked a better place! They made our dinner reservations for... More

The location was perfect for us, a getaway in the mountains but only 15 minutes from town. The grounds/woods were beautiful, lovingly decorated, and comfortable to be in, including exploring the little walking trails with thoughtful decor throughout. We loved the patio with the fountain where we sat and drank wine (provided by Bear) on a beautiful evening. The room... More

We stayed three nights at the end of our Anniversary week and were extremely disappointed. The Inn Keepers had "Friends" staying there the final two nights and days of our visit. The first morning we were there was pleasant and the breakfast was very good. However, once the Friends were there, we were treated very poorly by the Inn Keepers.... More

My husband Scott and I stayed at the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn for a week from 9/5-9/11/16. We had just got married on Sunday 9/4 and drove 14 1/2 hours from Massachusetts to spend our honeymoon in Asheville, and chose the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn to stay at. We couldn't have chosen a better bed and breakfast to stay at... More

Patti and Bear run what must be close to the perfect B & B; the setting is peaceful on the hill above Asheville, the rooms are very comfortable and their welcoming smile is infectious. Breakfast is cooked to order, with a daily special They'll always go the extra mile to make a reservation, recommend places to go and things to... More

I usually go to the beach when I feel the need to "get away from it all" but I believe my new "peaceful place" is on a mountain in North Carolina. My husband booked a trip to Asheville as a surprise for my birthday and chose the Crooked Mountain Inn. I was a little skeptical as we wound up the... More

Patty & Bear have established a little slice of heaven. Furnished and run with love and care. They are great hosts. The setting is a perfect compromise between country solitude and easy access to the city of Asheville with all it has to offer. Restaurants, music, arts & crafts. Simply delightful. All of their recommendations for daytime activities and dinners... More
