Could not have been happier with our trip to Crooked Oak. Our experience lived up to all the previous reviews. Great location/setting, nice room and excellent breakfast. Host Patty and Bear were great. Made our dinner reservations for both nights and otherwise were always available. Saw a black bear on the road nearby the last day which was a treat... More

We discovered this "little piece of heaven" four years ago, and look forward to returning each summer. It provides a beautiful mt. setting, close to Asheville, and offers a peaceful tranquility both outdoors and inside the lovely inn. Patty and "Bear," our hosts, have designed and decorated each sleep room in soft colors, lovely bedding and window treatment, nice size... More

When we started up the road, we wondered if it was a mistake. When we got there, it was beautiful, cool breeze, wonderful hosts, great food. Will be back! We have not stayed at a B & B for some time. Glad we did. Met some very nice people.

Our recent two night stay at Crooked Oak Mountain Inn was the nicest B&B experience we have had. The Inn is located in a beautiful mountain setting yet is only a few minutes drive to downtown Asheville. The property is lovely and the Innkeepers, Patti and Bear, were delightful in welcoming us, sharing their home and making us comfortable during... More

Crooked Oak is located on a mountainside just outside the heart of Asheville. Patti and Bear are very welcoming and their bed and breakfast does not disappoint. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, and very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent with fresh baked goods, eggs any style, waffles, bacon, and fresh fruit. The mornings were very comfortable so we had our... More

First, I must say that I am an official mountain road wuss. If you are one too, you must be brave and suck it up, get up that road to this amazing inn! My husband and I stayed in the Chestnut suite which exceeded expectations. Loved eating delightful and delectable breakfasts outside! Patti and Bear outdid themselves in every aspect.... More

Bear and Patti are the most precious couple and truly run their in with love. The breakfast was scrumptious with the best waffles we've ever tasted. The morning pastries were fabulous but oh the tea no words for the tea every morning. The setting in the mountains was peaceful, cool, and refreshing. Can't wait to go back!!

Our suite had a king bed, private bath and porch, sofa and two chairs. We had a small A/C unit which kept the room cool during our stay when the weather was unusually warm (90's) in town. This was very important to us, since we were hoping to escape the heat at our hometown. The Inn itself is high above... More

We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Patti and Bear were gracious and friendly, catering easily to our food allergies, making dinner reservation ns, and giving us tips on places to visit based on our desires. We stayed in the Chestnut Suite on the upper floor, which looks out directly into the treetops as the ground falls away... More

When the trip was being planned, there was no doubt in our minds where we were going to stay...even though the other 3 couples stayed in Hotels. We knew it was with Bear and Patti or nowhere! Great location, ambiance is second to none and the breakfasts are absolutely to die for. No place better to stay in Asheville! Check... More
