My husband and I chose the Hill House B&B on our way to Asheville...while in the car! It was an adventure from the beginning and Hill House gave us a place like home. :) We stayed in the cottage and it was wonderful! We had...More
A beautiful old house near downtown Asheville, NC with a friendly helpful owner and staff. The breakfasts were great on the large porch overlooking the front garden. We loved it and recommend it to anyone. Probably not as good for kids, however.
We had a very enjoyable experience. David and Matthew were very hospitible and made us feel welcome from the time we arrived until the time we checked out. The location is a perfect walk to downtown Asheville which allowed us the ability to participate in...More
We have stayed twice before at the Hill House. It was owned by another couple at the time. The new owners took over about 6 months before our latest trip and they are working hard to keep up the igh standards the original owners held....More
Hill House is a great place to stay if you're headed to the Asheville area. It's located in a quiet little neighborhood just outside of downtown, and while it's a bit of a hike to get into the heart of town, it's certainly walkable. The...More

The police have told me that no one has been robbed or assaulted on the streets of Five Points anytime recently. That said, the recent construction of a shopping center that backs up to Holland Street, the favored neighborhood route downtown has made that route a little foreboding for one block. Shopping center management has immediate plans to clear and landscape the back side of the center, but it has become so overgrown that for now it can feel a little like a jungle while walking by there at night. Walking on the major streets to downtown, Merrimon and Broadway, is safe, but neither are pedestrian-friendly.
