Brought wife and kids (3 boys all under 13) for a quick one nighter from Charlotte just to visit Asheville. Hotel was nice. Lobby/lounge/restaurant were all great. Indoor pool was key for our crew as we enjoyed swimming in the evening and in the morning. Location was an easy walk to all the stuff down town. We will be back!

I stayed here to visit with one of my friends who lived in the area. This was my first visit to Asheville, North Carolina and I was so impressed. The area just reminds you of a mountain town in a whole other state. The view outside of the room was just magnificent. You could see the mountains and all the...

I came here for a conference and found it a decent hotel in good condition. The only thing close to a complaint that I have is that the fridge was inside a cabinet and the fridge door stuck on the cabinet side every time you tried to open it. But, it wasn't really a big deal. Most of the parking...

With the Renaissance brand I was expecting a more upscale hotel. The hotel is old and the rooms very much like a Hampton Inn. Small room, small bathroom and no safe. Very poor use of lobby space with a tiny bar area and a gift shop with mostly jewelry and no magazines. There is limited parking in the front of...

As a platinum Marriott member, I stay at a lot of Marriott branded hotels. My review is based on other Renaissance and Marriott branded hotels. Positives - Hotel is in a great location, the rooms are quiet, and a good place to stay for business travelers, great lobby bar. Small frig in room but no microwave. Free parking (see negatives)...

Our stay was nice. Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable! Staff was very friendly on what seemed to be a very busy weekend! Great restaurants very near by.i didn't try the restaurant in the hotel. Very short walk to everything down town. Only thing that was odd was the fire evacuation. Yes....we had an evacuation. When we took the stairs down...

Our team was here for an offsite meeting. It is in a great location, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the staff was very accommodating. The meeting rooms are a bit dated and could use more electrical outlets, and the snacks could have been a lot better.

Recently stayed here for 4 nights and 5 days for a board review conference. I was concerned about the hotel from previous reviewers but have to say I didn't find any of those concerns. Hotel has normal "wear and tear" if you will. However, I have to admit I don't frequent Marriot Renaissance Hotels, so don't have a good baseline.....please...

Just an FYI the bathroom door is a fancy rolling barn door (nice touch) but it doesn't lock. Or completely close. Also no vent fan in there so if it's your first weekend getaway, find the lobby bathroom to avoid any awkward moments. That being said great hotel. Excellent location! The one king room is a little small but if...

I love staying at this hotel for many reasons. If money were no object, I would stay at The Grove Park Inn, or Grand Bohemian. But, I have a travel budget I have to work within, and I LOVE the location of this hotel. Here's why: 1. Recently updated rooms. I think they were all completed in November, 2016. 2....
