We invite you to “bee” our guest at the Renaissance Asheville hotel in the heart of the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains. Located on our roof are bee boxes in conjunction with the Bee Institute to promote sustainability. Our downtown location means you can walk to the breweries or take a short ride to the Biltmore. After your fun-filled day of hiking, rafting or ziplining, a modern guest room awaits you. Select rooms & suites offer high floors and sweeping mountain views. A unique amenity to our Asheville hotel is an indoor junior olympic pool and whirlpool, open year round. The perfect combination for a relaxing evening is a cocktail on our patio with a fire pit. If you need to know where to go around town, our front desk Navigators will help you discover the best activities. We have the cheapest parking options in the city: $15 self parking & $20 for valet parking. The Renaissance Asheville is following Marriott/CDC cleanliness guidelines to ensure safety of our guests and employees.

This place is old, and it shows it's age. Sure, it's leaf season in Asheville, but for $680/night there should be NONE of this. Stains on the walls, old nasty bath fixtures, worn out non-matching light switch plates with some sort of fuzz around them, cheap plastic shower and bath, stains on the desk chair, the lounge chair wobbles and is unsittable and a hair stuck to the wall. Do yourself a favor, and stay somewhere else if you can. There are much better, and more affordable options in the area. I've stayed in HI Express hotels that are cleaner and better maintained than this place. Nothing special here, at all, not impressed in the least, especially for the price.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our guest satisfaction survey from your recent stay with us here in Asheville, we do hope you enjoyed your time downtown. I also wanted to reach out and apologize about physical appearance of the hotel. Unfortunately that is not by design and we missed about 11 months of preventative maintenance due to the majority of the engineering team being on furlough. We are trying to kick upkeep back into high gear but admittedly have a ways to go. We do appreciate the feedback though as it still does help us get better as a hotel.

David, the front desk manager is super helpful! Very gracious and made our stay so much sweeter. The Hotel, due to covid restrictions no longer offers room service. My son and I needed something sweet to eat! Instead of sending us out past restaurant and store hours, he gave us amazing dark chocolate (in bar form) from the sweet shop up the street.

This is an old worn out hotel that Marriott put a little lipstick on to dress it up. The rooms were worn out and very dated. My room was dirty with the desk and night stand covered with something sticky that had spilled, and trash from the previous guests on the floor. The fluorescent light fixture in the bathroom flickered all the time, the shower diverter was broken and only luke-warm water in the shower. The wireless internet was down most of our three day stay, requiring us to use our cell phones for hot spots. Their room key card maker broke. There is no Concierge lounge, so they gave us coupons for breakfast, which consisted of cold, runny carton eggs. This was a remarkably bad stay in a hotel, and I travel every week for work.

My husband and I stayed two nights in this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. We chose this property after reading some of the reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to take a chance since some of the reviews were negative. It is located in town with all the restaurants that area offers. The restaurants that were highlighted in my research were nearby. We did have a room on the 11th floor facing the mountains so our view was very nice. The reason for four stars rather than five is there were problems with the computer system which resulted in some problems with adding an additional night to our stay, but we would definitely stay here on a return visit.

My friend and I stayed at the Renaissance during our girls trip. We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, Dale at the Writer’s Bistro was great! He had a great attitude and personality. My only complaint would be the $20 per day parking.
