The furniture was scuffed and stained as well as the carpets. Bathroom was in bad shape, looks as though there may be mold. Never again! I feel every surface is dirty and I am constantly washing my hands.

We found Hotel Indigo to be a great stay. Front desk staff was amazing, a special thank you to the highly personable Steven- your recommendations were excellent! The room had gorgeous views and the bed was extremely comfortable. As others mentioned, you can hear street noise so do bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise while you sleep. I do suggest cleaning staff pay more attention to the showers as there were many places with mold/mildew. The hotel was within walking distance to many restaurants and other establishments. I would absolutely stay here again.

We spent several days at this hotel in Asheville. The staff of Jessica and Sam were wonderful. Jessica helped us with restaurants and recommended a restaurant inside the bohemian hotel by the biltmore. It was such a fabulous place and great place to walk around. The Biktmore grounds is across the street if you so desire. She was great about local downtown restaurants too like strada! Sam I think is the manager as she was on top of our comfort while staying there and ensuring our stay met our expectations. These front of hotel staff were always welcoming on our comings and goings. We had a dog with us and they welcomed her with the red carpet. Such a great stay! Now for our STAR Molly!! GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY we called her. She was fabulous. She works the front of the hotel and the bar. We had fun with her and watching her with others she treats everyone the same as though she’s known them for years. She is a true asset to the hotel. We hung out w her every night but one only because she had the day off. She learned how to make a late night flat bread with no cook around real quick even without burning it!! She’s the best. Thank you all!

Nice building and conveniently located downtown. Whole Foods market about 1/2 mile away. Good news/bad news: hotel allows pets which is good for pet owners, but bad for humans who don’t appreciate the smell of wet dog. Our room smelled like a kennel.

I planned a surprise 39th wedding anniversary trip for my wonderful wife to Asheville and to Hotel Indigo in particular. I had never stayed at this hotel but the pictures and location sounded perfect. I was so wrong! The location is close to downtown Asheville but right next to a busy interstate. The room had an outdoor porch but we would never use it because of the noise. Check in was seamless and we headed up to our penthouse room. The space was large, but it needed a lot of love. The web pictures must have been taken when it was brand new because reality was far different. Walls needed painting, wooden furniture was splitting on top due to past moisture problems, and what put us over the edge was a filthy couch with big stain marks. We called the front desk about the couch and they sent up the housekeeping manager. She examined the stains and said they tried to get out the stains but could not. Their solution was to put a sheet over the couch. I was humiliated. I wanted this to be such a good surprise for my wife and it was awful. We checked out immediately. We were not charged for our $1,800 room (yes for 3 nights, that is what I would have paid!) When we left we spoke to an employee and they said the hotel was “gross”! We stayed at the Doubletree one block away and had a fabulous time for HALF THE PRICE! We had a suite with nicer and up to date furnishings. Shame on the management of Hotel Indigo. The maintenance of their penthouse has been long ignored because the problems we saw were old. Obviously, we won’t go there again.

I had issues with my booking (unrelated to the any hotel staff). Jessica quickly made it all better. Room was clean & pretty. All staff was friendly. Location is perfect. Mark & Jessica (front desk) helped with my touring and both bellman were friendly, even the one at 5am on checkout day. A++

We had to go out for food and it was a 2 minute walk to a great place. This is a nice hotel and we were very comfortable. You did need to get your own cart and tote your own bags which I feel is sometimes weird for this price and they still want tips for parking your car. Their only job is to park your car, they do not help with bags.

We were traveling with our dog and wanted something better than a sleep cheap for our stay in Asheville. Not only was this hotel set up for dogs, it was clean, well thought out, eco friendly but they also thought out of the 'box". First it was Downtown Asheville in walking distance to restaurants. We opted for the room with the view. This was a large corner room with windows on both outside walls. The view wasn't pristine (telephone lines) but it was decent. The room had vinyl 'wood' floors which were nice, and clean. Bathroom was awesome etc etc etc. Things I really loved... when the elevator doors opened, the floor was dark. As soon as we stepped out, the lights went on. Loved the power conservation. Also, you get a text from the hotel when you check in. If you need anything, all we had to do was text them back. IE batteries for the remote...have the car brought around. The room was $175 a night plus a $66 pet fee. One night parking ($20) plus taxes... $248. Not what I was thinking but that wasn't their doing.

Worst hotel we have stayed at in many years! This hotel is not being well cared for and seems extremely understaffed. The staff is pleasant, though inexperienced and does make an effort when requested. However, the room was not clean ( crumbs etc on floor and hairs in bathroom) and the hall carpets are stained. There was a dirty cocktail glass by the elevator our entire one day stay. We couldn’t wait to leave. Location is great and service pleasant at times. Valet was good. We would not return, especially at 350$!

The hotel boast a great location. Walking distance from downtown restaurants and shops but not in the middle of the noise. Front desk staff was very helpful at all times and very friendly. Our room was spacious as well as the bathroom which had a huge shower. Comfortable bed, complimentary coffee in room and refillable water carafe that by the way hadn’t been replaced and was dirty and sticky. On-site parking is valet for $20/day. The hotel is pet friendly and the fee is $75 per stay. They have a breakfast/bar area in the lobby which was nice. We had 2 issues: the water carafe was not clean, much less sanitized as required for reusable water containers as well as the ice/water filter shared area on the floor was rather unattended and smelled. So bring your own water. And the nice large shower had mildew/moldy areas that hadn’t been cleaned. Other than that, the hotel is very nice and convenient. I wish there was a bit more attention to detail.
