Picked this hotel based on TA reviews for my first visit to Asheville. I enjoyed the hotel location and the views from my hotel room. Hotel and room was clean and comfortable. Parking is valet only, but it was a breeze when dropping off and picking up my SUV. Hotel was very easy to get to as it is just off I-420. Hotel was also within walking distance to all the sights in downtown Asheville. I also visited the Biltmore Mansion, which was only about 6 min drive to Biltmore Village. I had the breakfast which I enjoyed as it was fresh, the coffee was also good, plus there is a bar for drink at night. I also like that there is glass container for water where you can fill it with a water filter system on the floor. If I every come to Asheville, I would stay here again.

1/24 thru 1/30/2020. From when I called to make the reservation Kerri was so very helpfully .
From when you walk in so bright clean . Two check in counter, some couches on both side , plus Id say a work bar with outlets and charging plugs .Some tables by the window as their restaurant , plus with a small grab and go for food. About a 8 to 10 seats full bar..
I checked in with Steve behind the counter he couldn't of been any more professional, helpful and Maggie also is there to guide me along with the places I wanted to sightsee.
I'm in the penthouse with floor-to-ceiling windows electric blinds and a Electric fireplace beautiful views, of the mountains .
In the bedroom they have floor to ceiling drapes, so to close them they’re not electric to pull them open or closed the lines are intertwined with the other shade and it’s very very heavy I had marks on my hand .
During my stay I got to meet Henry and Jared very pleasant . Jared very knowledgeable of all the restaurants in town.
For such a big rooms they have small 32 inch TVs, their not on the walls but on the table/ dressers .
Very nice bathroom huge shower so big that I would think they would have a bench in shower .
All staff here is so Pleasant and helpful. I ordered room service on a rainy Monday where they do add a 20% service fee ,but the food is so reasonable that it was worth it . Of course a tip to.
Can’t bet the view .
Oh no microwave.

Honestly a great hotel to stay down town, significantly cheaper than some of the other properties but still gave the vibe of being well kept, new, and all of downtown was walking distance from the hotel, which is ideal for touring all of the breweries that Asheville has to offer. Our hotel room was on the 8th floor, corner room, king size bed and over looked the beautiful mountains around Asheville. The Hotel is Pet friendly which was ideal as we were traveling with our dog. would stay there again, but key to note, the were two odd things that happened. there was a bed spider, smashed, on the ceiling of our room, which felt out of place from the otherwise clean room, also the coffee machine didnt seemed that clean either.

I got the Indigo on Hotwire and was happy I did, until. Check in with Steve was great, we arrived early and he was able to check us on in for one night. He only had a double room that was an accessible room which was fine as long as it was two beds. The hotel itself looks nice , but the room we had was quite dirty. There was dust and hair along the base boards, the night stand had a ring on it like someone set a sticky bottle on it. The bed had clumps of hair on it. The bathroom had a bunch of hair on the sink and something black, like makeup on the sink and bowl. The walls had a lot of dust and hair stuck to it. I really felt icky after we check in. I did tell Steve at the front desk, he offered to run up and wipe stuff down be it was just he and the valet on duty. All in all, ok place just be of with a totally not clean room.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. Their COVID 19 protocols during check in and check out were excellent. Parking is very tight. Two of the 4 handicap spots had supplies for hotel renovations blocking part of the spot so a normal size vehicle was sticking out way too far when parked there. The rooms were supplied with sufficient towels but short on plastic glasses and foam coffee cups. A fellow at the front desk had a bit of an attitude when my spouse asked for more. The room surfaces were clean however the waste buckets were moldy. A small thing that is easily remedied. Good location.

We have stayed four+ nights at Hotel Indigo three times this past year. We always stay in the penthouse suite with balcony (1301 or 1201). This most recent stay was in penthouse 1301. The party before us obviously wore garments with sequins and false eyelashes. I know this because the sequins were all over the entire suite and I accidentally found the used false eyelashes behind the sink on the bathroom countertop. Needless to say, I was not happy. Luckily, we brought along disinfectant wipes so I cleaned all of the surfaces. I used tissues and attempted to clean hair off the bathroom floor. I am so shocked after this stay. We have always been beyond pleased with our accommodations. The housekeeping staff leaves a card in the room stating the cleaning protocols due to COVID. The cleaning this suite received was not even up to par with pre-covid standards. I'm sure the suite we stayed in was one of the most expensive rooms Hotel Indigo offers. I would expect it to be given the most attention from housekeeping. I don't know if we will stay here during our next visit due to this experience. On a positive note, the front desk staff and valet staff were super friendly. We were driving a limited edition car and were worried about valet parking. However, the valet staff made us feel at ease and we trusted they would take care of our vehicle. I would give the staff five stars and the cleanliness of our suite one star leading to my three star rating.

My husband and I spent two nights here on vacation. We stayed here for an anniversary trip several years ago and enjoyed it. We were extremely impressed with the safety measures. We rarely saw other guests. We felt very safe. Housekeeping is not allowed in guest rooms during a stay, but they will deliver things to your room (or you can pick them up at the front) if needed. The manager was helpful and friendly. The only downside is that the restaurant is not open. Because of the design it is not possible to social distance.

There was a little wear and tear on both chairs in the room, and something that looked like ketchup on the tv stand. That’s why I didn’t give it a perfect score.

We stayed here during COVID 19 and felt the staff did a good job with cleaning, distancing; we felt comfortable.

However it is a loud hotel. Between being beside a highway and our room being right beside the elevator, the walls seem thin and it was easy to hear buzzes and bings throughout night. For fun extras, the fancy Bluetooth alarm went off at 6 am and was complicated to turn off. We later discussed, we only touched this alarm to plug in a phone charger, I’m pretty sure it was on when we arrived in room.

Beds were comfortable, rooms were nice. Great location to walk to downtown stuff, we visited the Montford Rooftop Bar next door.

Hotel was clean and safe but it was not a good nights sleep because of constant noises.

I would maybe stay in another Indigo Hotel but probably not this location.

When I messaged Hotel Indigo twice on 2 different days about my husband’s birthday and they never replied, I should have known. I searched all the hotels in Asheville and settled on this one because it was a “penthouse”. That’s a lie. It just means top floor. And they call it a “suite” because there’s a partial wall with a 20 year old couch. I thought- due to the photos, there would be a balcony, a view. No. All deceptive.

In fact, it is much like a dated hospital room. We have a great view of a parking lot complete with a giant metal scaffold front and center.

The furniture is old and scuffed with a rubbery uncomfortable bed. The shower has a crappy handheld head that doesn’t fully work. The AC rattles and makes a loud choking noise when it starts- which happened all night. The sink drips. There was a glob of something sticky on the floor. You can hear everything in the hallway crystal clear. Did I mention it’s dirty?

The decor reminds me of 90’s McDonald’s. The room coffee is disgusting. The staff are glazed and unhelpful. I imagine they get a whole lot of complaints but still.

I’ve stayed at chain hotels on the side of the interstate that are quieter, more comfortable and better equipped. Too bad I’m having this learning experience on my husbands 50th birthday.

Unless you’re into discomfort- avoid avoid avoid. I wish I’d seen a review like this before I wasted hundreds of dollars.

I made this reservation a couple weeks ago. I then called to add my friend’s name to the room and confirmed with someone that my friend could check in without my credit card in hand. I was told yes and they sent me an update with her name added to the record. today, the day that I’m arriving, I called to double check everything and was told that my friend could not check in without me unless I had signed a form. Now I had five days while I was at home to do this if I have been given the appropriate information. Jessica at the hotel told me she couldn’t even find my friend’s name added to the reservation. luckily I had a confirmation in my email showing what date I had done this. it didn’t matter to her ir her general manager that their corporate reservations people gave me bad information. In fact, she then had the general manager call me from the hotel who was absolutely zero help and even bizarre. I told him upfront that I was going to leave a scathing review because my poor friend with MS was going to be inconvenienced. he even said they wouldn’t allow her to put her bags at the hotel while she was waiting for me. Shameful customer service! He told me since I was threatening that they would cancel my reservation. Mind blown. What kind of people are managing what is supposed to be an entirely customer service oriented organization? I was given incorrect information and they had no interest in fixing it. I look forward to calling their corporate office when I’m finished with my trip and imagine their “manager” will embellish their story to cover himself. Well, here is my “threatening” review. I then called another hotel in the area who immediately helpef me with the same issue. I guess Hotel Indigo just isn’t a nice enough place.

If you Google the hotel, there is an option to view photos of the outside of the hotel ["See Outside"]. Click on the picture that looks like the side of the building and scroll/swipe left until you see Haywood Street. If you click on the street just under the traffic light, you will see a very small green space near the parking garage entrance on the left where there is a trash can a poop bag dispenser. It's the closest green spot for the dogs to do their business. You'd have to walk a bit farther to find a larger "park" area, especially if they need more space to roam and find the right patch of grass.
