Hotel's Favorite
Having spent 12 consecutive nights at the Brookstone Lodge due to family needs, I can only say how grateful my husband and I for this property. Entering the hotel was welcoming, with lighted trees on each side of the canopy and a warm fire in the lobby. The management was always eager to make our uncertain schedule work. Our room was large, bright, and clean, with lots of nooks to keep luggage orderly. The whole space was spotless. This is the only hotel room in any price range which has made me feel comfortable with cleanliness. (The sanitation grade is 98.3.) Each day our linens were replaced (even the coverlets) and the room was cleaned. A large refrigerator and a microwave made long-term stay doable. Our room was completely dark and quiet at night, and the beds and pillows cradled us. I slept all night! The housekeeping staff were friendly and took pride in their work. A chat with the manager, a former owner, made that reason clear: A teamwork approach is the key. Breakfasts were varied, with fruit, protein, and treats like waffles every morning. Add to all these wonders proximity to I-40, Biltmore, and Mission Hospital--and an unheard-of reasonable rate--and this is pretty close to a perfect hotel. It surely was a blessing to us.

Firstly - I would stay here again. Double queen was around $90-100. Hotel is a little aged. Shower didn’t drain well etc.
However service was great. Bagged breakfast items during covid. Seemed fairly clean. Pool was open (30 min intervals up to 10ppl with an on site shower). Overall a nice enough hotel in a nice area with good service for a good price.
I recommend unless you like upscale or new hotels only.

First, the staff are very friendly, especially the front desk staff. Second, the place is clean.
Be advised there is an early check-in fee of $25 and check-in is at 4pm. There was a minor issue with the room in that the bathroom vent fan was not working.
I would stay again.

For a short work trip, I stayed at Brookstone Lodge in Asheville, NC on July 13, booked through Hotels.com. The place seems designed so patrons will not be able to sleep, room doors directly across from each other opening & slamming all night long. I sure couldn’t get any sleep there. My work required another day so I requested a quieter room. Unfortunately, my second room had a toilet that noisily ran almost incessantly and got easily stopped up requiring a maintenance visit. This room also had an upholstered chair with a large nasty-looking stain on the seat. Sleep deprived and disgusted, I left early afternoon of my second day and asked for a refund at the desk.
I later found out that: 1) I was double charged, 2) I was told my second night (which I didn't stay) would be the same (lower) rate as Hotels.com—it wasn’t. I called to speak to the general manager who stated that she “was mortified” by the stained chair and would thus refund my entire trip including Brookstone’s part of my Hotels.com charge (but that I’d have to get the rest of it from them). What happened instead was that the manager welshed me; she didn’t refund ANY of Hotels.com charge, and, she refused any further contact from me by phone or email. I complained to Hotels.com who said the Brookstone manager would have to approve the refund, and of course, Hotels.com was unable to reach the manager.
Stay here at your own risk, and if anything goes wrong, make sure it’s corrected before you leave, not after you get home.

I stayed a night after a long drive, the hotel is flanked by an on ramp and a busy multilane local road and i heard the noise all night. I also heard a lot of noise from the room above, foot steps and things falling. While the faux hard wood floors are nice on the eyes, they do not sound insulate and make things worse. I was also puzzled as there was no desk, just a high shelf and a regular office chair.

We stayed between Christmas and New Year's. We toured the Builtmore estate and stayed here because it was very close to the entrance. The breakfast was good having eggs, toast/bagels, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, danishes, milk, juice, vitamin water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, yogurt and condiments for all. I am spoiled with my own chicken eggs at home so I didn't really like the scrambled eggs but the waffles were great.
We will stay there again.

Room appeared to be clean. They have removed carpet so you hear people above you walking at night. Ants in the room. 2 small ice machines that could not keep up. Could not get ice till early morning. Jacuzzi jets hardly worked. Free breakfast is packaged muffins and instant pkg of grits and oatmeal. I use cpap machine at night but only one plug at head of bed so I had to unplug room phone to be able to use sleep machine.

Personally, I wouldn’t stay again. I prefer a larger parking lot so I don’t get door dings. The room itself (Double Queen, 1st Floor) was not bad. It was recently renovated, but one of the beds shifted quite a bit, the tv remote control did not work, it seems that this room had been roughed up. However, for the trip we were on (and the price of this room was $75/night), the room was great. As far as service, the staff was attentive and helpful when there was an issue. However, when we checked in, there was a non Choice Platinum/Diamond member who parked in a reserved spot and they asked if they could stay parked there even though they were not members of Choice Privileges, the front desk clerk gave them the go ahead, and that it really didn’t matter... This was a vastly different experience than the Cambria I stayed at earlier this year.
While I personally would not stay again, I’d recommend to family and friends.

This review is overdue. We checked in for several days on Sept. 19, 2020. It was our anniversary and the first vacation for us in several years. It was very clean without smelling like cleanser. The queen bed was super comfortable and had four great pillows. The AC/Heating worked very well. Our room was small but we only ever use a room for showers and sleeping. We were there to sitesee and check out the restaurants, not roost in the room. TV was a nice size, WIFI, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker worked great what more do you need? Passed on breakfast we always do, did I mention the restaurants? The staff was very friendly and helpful. Yes some paint touch-ups are needed but if people didnt slam the doors open with luggage carts...Anyway a great place to stay & stretch your vacation dollars for sightseeing & restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and very quite. The staff was knowledgeable about the area, and made great recommendations for things to do and where to eat. Breakfast was good, but I was not crazy about the coffee. Everything else was very good! I will stay here again and will recommend it to friends.
