I can’t say enough about this bed and breakfast. I’m an avid traveler and this Inn stands out among MANY stays. First and foremost, the FOOD. Wow…the dinner far exceeded our expectations. They accommodated our diet restrictions (Pescatarian) and the Chef came out to greet everyone during the meal…just lovely. The breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Due to the property having trails included (100+ acres) there’s no need to go anywhere! Eat, hike, drink, sleep and repeat! The room was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the lush property. Comfortable bed and included little touches that made us smile. The staff was extremely friendly and all had great personalities. We cannot wait to return and spend more time at this true GEM. Also, the drive up the mountain to get here is BEAUTIFUL!!

Sourwood Inn is a perfect getaway spot. New owners have kept the quiet, romantic feel from past years. We were greeted warmly and offered complimentary sparkling wine! Breakfast is exceptional! Beds are comfy, rooms are big with great views and sweet balconies. Public spaces are cozy. Make sure to spend time on the rocking chairs on the back deck with a glass of wine. We heard there were afternoon snacks offered but we were out and about. The owners are knowledgeable, friendly, and want to do anything they can to make your stay amazing.

We came for several days to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We had visited one other time----20 years ago. It was great to see that the Inn has thrived and is better than ever. Our room (#10) was excellent (enjoyed the chilly weather and lit a fire every night). Food was great---we enjoyed dinner in on two nights. We hope to return for another stay one of these days.

I've been coming to Sourwood for several years and was sad to learn it was being sold in 2019. How fortunate are we that the new owners, Connie and Proal, love Sourwood as much as the previous owners, and we, do. They've taken a perfect place and made it even better. Their touches and enhancements here and there are noticeable (like new carpet and updated linens) but it's still our perfect Sourwood. The new chef is out of this world good and the food could stand up in any high end restaurant. I'm a loyal customer and can't wait to visit again.
