We will definitely be back. Peter and his wife are the ultimate hosts. The breakfast was gourmet every morning, tea time and happy hour were highlights and the grounds are beautiful. Beth is also a great host. I have no idea where the folks stayed that rated a 1 star. It certainly wasn't the Black Walnut in Asheville! The rooms...

Our first BandB. The Black Walnut was extraordinary! Impeccably detailed to the period, finely furnished, a high end property. Breakfast was fantastic with great detail to presentation. A lovely experience. Wine, tea and nibbles was a pleasant diversion before heading out for the evening. Rooms were laviously furnished and very comfortable. Hosts Peter and Lori are personable great sources of...

The Black Walnut owners and staff made us feel like two of the most special people in the world. Beth made check-in a breeze and took good care of us whenever we needed anything. Breakfast was an amazing three course masterpiece, afternoon tea and wine was done to the 9's with at least 3-4 appetizers and something delicious for dessert....

My husband and I travel with a small dog and it is hard to find a nice clean place to stay with our little girl. The Black Walnut Inn welcomed us and our dog with great southern hospitality. We stayed in the Magnolia suite ( pet friendly) which had a small kitchenette and a porch for sitting. This worked out...

My husband and I stayed at the Black Walnut Inn for 3 nights. The inn is beautifully decorated in a victorian style. It is located on a main street about an easy mile from downtown....walkable. The house is set back from the street amid lovely gardens. The hosts have owned bake shops in the past. The hosts and staff were...

This could be a nice inn if the innkeeper was not a miserable person. The negative grumpy talk during breakfast ruined the overall experience. This is someone who does not know what hospitality is about and surely doesn't care about repeat customers. My recommendation is DON'T STAY HERE. There a plenty of nice bnb's in this area where I'm sure...

First and foremost, we are terribly sorry that your stay at the Black Walnut B&B was not an exceptional experience. We strive to make our guests feel at-home, pampered, and relaxed, and genuine hospitality is at the forefront of everything we do. We missed the mark in making your stay enjoyable, and for that, we apologize. Please know that we...

This was our first time staying at a B & B and The Black Walnut Inn did not disappoint. From our arrival to departure the inn, amenities, food, and staff was outstanding. The location couldn't be better to explore Asheville. There is a lively Jamaican restaurant right down the street that we took in our first night. The next day...

The inn is located in a quiet part of Asheville where you don't even realize you are in the city. Happy hour at 5pm with amazing appetizers and an even more amazing breakfast in the morning. We had a room on the street side that had a little traffic noise but not enough to be annoying. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights as a getaway from the family. I wanted to spend Christmas with a real Christmas atmosphere and the owners of this delightful inn made it happen! We stayed at the honeymoon room with a beautiful king bed, a fireplace and a Jacuzzi which we used twice. It was very romantic. Every...

My daughter and I were privileged to stay at this delightful inn on the long drive back from college for her winter break. I have visited various B&Bs over the years, and I can honestly say this one takes the #1 prize! The setting is gorgeous (complete with pond filled with koi-albeit hibernating ones), and the home is immaculate and...
