My wife and I loved everything about the Haywood Park Hotel. We were greeted promptly and offered bottled water and champagne. The doorman, Stan, immediately began helping us with our bags and up to our room. We booked the master king suite and it was more room in a hotel room than 2 people would ever need. My wife and... My son and I took a quick trip to Asheville and wanted to stay in a hotel that was unique to the area. I was delighted to learn that the Haywood Park Hotel had, at one time, been an Ivey's Department Store. There were many nods to my all-time favorite store - the fourth floor was "Women's Wear". Aside from... More

When we ordered the room, we were told that we would get complimentary water. When we asked for the water, we had to pay for it, and were told that the water is only "complimentary" when you first arrive. It didn't matter when I told the person that we never received our complementary water when we first got here. I... More

If you enjoy all that is downtown Asheville, you'll love this hotel. Can't beat the location. Staff is friendly and guest rooms are spacious. The marble bathroom alone is worth the price of admission.

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I enjoy staying in non chain hotels and this did not disappoint. Housed in a former department store there are clever references to that throughout. The room was huge with marble bath with soaking tub and walk in shower. Comfy beds, chocolates at turn down and complimentary breakfast and valet parking. We enjoyed being... More

My husband and I frequently visit Asheville. This was our first time at this hotel but it will not be the last. The location was central and perfect for walking around town. We walked to our restaurants both evenings (Chestnut and Rhubarb, both excellent). The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Eddie enthusiastically greeted us and was eager tell us... More

The rooms are charming and the staff are wonderful. Everyone there wanted your stay to be perfect. We arrived early and our valet parked the car right away. The receptionist called us while we were shopping to let us know our room was ready. When we got back to the hotel, we quickly checked in, got our complimentary champagne and... More

Like others said, it's a great location. I typically am disappointed with hotels that are in the price range of the Haywood Park Hotel, but I can say that this hotel has been my best experience at a 4 Star Hotel. The staff were some of the friendliest I have ever encountered at a hotel. The suite was the biggest... More

We visited the Haywood this past October. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and the bill averaged out to $376/night. I don't mind spending this amount if I'm staying in a really nice place. Well this hotel was definitely not worth that much. The room was average, hotel lobby very plain, as were the hallways. Apparently this used... More

The location was fabulous. The room was great but didn't need to be so big. Slept very well. Breakfast was very good. The desk staff were very nice and helpful. It's a great place and I would stay there again but I would first inquire whether I could get a smaller room.
