I booked a room here when taking a college visit with my son. It's a great mom-and-pop place. While it's dated in many ways, rooms have been updated and the beds/bedding were very comfortable, The room was spotless. Derek at the front desk is about as accommodating as they come! I woke up to the small of waffles and coffee;... More

We booked a room at this hotel so we could stay after finding the Soldiers Stone. When we entered it didn't take long to get the key. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. We entered the room and we had gotten a two queen bed room with a roll away bed. The room was spacious for our 7... More

Charge almost as much for your pet as your average, basic, very clean rooms. My $79 rate became 120. I am very spoiled by those who say pet friendly NOT charging . You sign a release and pay only if there is a problem. LaQuinta is the best at this. Not a choice in Gunnison. There are lots..so shop and... More

The Alpine Inn was a pleasant surprise. It was a clean, well kept hotel. The owners were very nice and accommodating with changes we needed to make because of travel plans. Breakfast was good, the sausage was actually fried like it should be and not sitting in a tray of liquid like you find at most of the chain hotel... More

We wanted to do a quick two day trip to the Gunnison/Crested Butte area and decided to stay here as it was reasonably priced and had breakfast included. The room was small but very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The motel is just far enough off the highway that there was no highway noise. The noise that was... More

My Husband and I were making a loop thru Colorado, and kind of wanted to get away from staying in the "chain hotels". I saw this hotel in both the AAA-book, and on TripAdvisor, so we gave it a try. It is a very nice place, run by very nice folks. Our room was comfortable, but most important~CLEAN! It is... More

This is a gem. It has the amenities of much pricier hotels, including a pool, hot tub, nicely furnished lobby and room, fresh and abundant breakfast. The staff is cheerful and helpful. Gunnison is an up and coming town, with good restaurants and proximity to Black Canyon, Blue Mesa Reservoir and the (overly yuppie, to my mind overrated) Crested Butte.

We took the big room as we have three teenagers. The space was great. The pillows were too hard for me so I did NOT sleep well. Two dispensaries located with in crawling distance a big plus! Breakfast was okay. Be sure to get to the breakfast early as food items were not restocked in the last half hour.

This is a very clean, well-maintained, independently owned motel. The room was a good size with plenty of storage space. There was a frig and microwave in the room as well as a hair dryer. The sheets were white & clean & crisp and the bathroom was also very clean, much appreciated. The duvet was a nice extra touch. The... More

The guy at the front desk during check in admitted that he did not normally work there and really did not know what he was doing. The front desk got busy with check ins and he got very flustered. the room was clean. Good continental breakfast. We had a trailer and parking was a problem. I have stayed there many... More
