We enjoyed our week-long stay at this little place. New owners are taking great care of it and updating the rooms. Quiet and clean, out west of town, with quick access to the highway. Spartan breakfast, but no hassle to get to town to the W Cafe. Highly recommended.

I stayed here recently after driving the long road along the northeast side of the Gunnison Gorge after dark. I was pleasantly surprised at the large, modern and comfortable room. The price was also a perk. The part that made it the best was the honesty and efficiency of the staff. I somehow left my purse on the bed when I left and I had driven no more than ten minutes when I received a call informing me that I had left a bag on the bed. It could have been a much worse scenario but by them calling me everything turned out perfect. Thank you very much!

The owner/management of this hotel is only after money and has ZERO customer service skills. It’s my birthday weekend and I planned a trip and booked a room here for the night. I went to make this booking on a Wednesday, to stay at the Inn on Fridays. Because of internet connection issues that kept resetting my reservation dates I booked same night and did not realize until I showed up tonight for my reservation. I genuinely apologized, explained what had happened and tried to stay the night here tonight on the reservation that she could tell was never used. She stated Hotels.com already took commission from her and she wanted me to re-book and pay for another full night. I got Hotels.com to agree to refund her their service fee, but she had no interest in getting her money back and helping me out with my reservation. The owner/manager clearly stated “I am in the business to make money. I don’t care if the reservation was utilized or not, you will have to rebook and repay us.” She told me my mistakes were my problems and she had no interest in working with me. I chose this place because I was trying to stay/support local—it’s something I find important, especially right now. I’m extremely disappointed and will never bring my business back here.

If you are looking for affordable clean lodging this is your place. The staff are eager to please and the owner has constructed solid lodging. The rooms are large and equipped with everything you need. The wifi is good and there is sufficient parking.

I made my reservation for a room with a Mountain View. The room was very pleasant - large, clean and comfortable. The rooms around me were occupied but I never heard any sounds from other rooms. There was a comfortable sitting chair which is a unique find. The breakfast was adequate given COVID restrictions. There was boxed cereal, packaged muffins, bananas, coffee and milk. Their attention to cleanliness was appreciated. There are outside seating areas with tables and chairs where you can enjoy the sunset. My room was in the block of rooms behind the office which is set back far enough from the road that it is very quiet. My only disappointment was with my supposed Mountain View. Attached is the view from sitting and standing positions. Had a large truck parked in the spot, the view would be gone. If you want a view ask for the second floor.
