Detailed Reviews
I just returned from a two-night stay at Waunita Hot Springs Ranch. It was wonderful! My company has been working from home since March and felt we needed to get together, but in a way that was socially distanced. It was easy to do so at the Ranch and it was wonderful for other reasons, too.
The ranch is large and open and the history is interesting. It's family-run and Tammi and Ryan were great hosts. They now rent out the place for large family or corporate gatherings, but we were lucky to get our small party to go there.
* The rooms are all Western themed and have nice bathrooms and comfy beds. I new I could relax when I realized we didn't need a key to our room. My coworkers were the only ones in the building! The beds were AWESOME and there were a number of 'family rooms', which were rooms with an extra bedroom with bunks for the kids.
* The place was super kid friendly. I told my 6yo that I would either be in the room, out on the deck or in the pool and he was free to do whatever. He spent lots of time, petting the dogs, horses, cats and bunnies and just running around and being a boy.
* The food was wonderful! They cooked us hearty dinners and breakfast and we took care of our lunch.
* The hot springs pool was great. It was super large and had a TON of pool toys and floatables to relax in.
* We ate all of our meals outside on the deck/picnic tables.
* We had S'mores every night by the fire next to the tee pee.
* I went mountain biking and some people drove to Gunnison.
* The one tough spot was the wifi didn't work and there is NO cell access. They were gracious enough to let me use the Wifi at their home (also on the ranch), which was a super quick drive away/long walk.
Now I have to figure out how to convince 25 of my friends to show up, so we can rent again!

My husband booked us a room as a surprise for me on our 17th Wedding Anniversary and what a wonderful surprise! The ranch is away from everywhere and it was so relaxing. I still needed to check my emails because of my work and the internet was fine for checking and returning emails. It was so nice to "unplug" my computer and phone. I used my phone to take pictures. Our room was wonderful and we had brought our own small meals. We also brought our 4-wheel drive gator and everyday we took off for the entire day exploring the trails. There are tons of OHV trails, from Novice to Experienced drivers. There are small towns like Pitkin and Tin Cup to visit, all boasting small places to eat wonderful food. In the evenings we visited the hot springs pool right outside the lodging and it also had a very warm/relaxing hot tub. We will definitely come here again. The prices were very reasonable and the hosts were outstanding!

+1
This is the perfect place for a family reunion. We had 32 people attend and had plenty of space. The kids enjoyed being outside and in the pool. It was great to see everyone put down their phones and get outside. God's beauty surrounds Waunita Hot Springs. Tammy and the hosts were fantastic. Rooms were comfortable, kitchen was great, common areas were very cool decorated with a western style. Lots of history here.

Great place for a family reunion.
Our family of 50 got together the end of May 2021 at the ranch. What a great venue. We spent 3 nights (not enough) with the family. The days were filled with fishing, ATV's and the kids at the pool. Evenings were spent socializing in the dining room, the rec room and again at the hot tub and pool. The commercial kitchen made prepping our meals a breeze. Our hosts, The Pringles, are great people and made our outing an enjoyable experience.

Our favorite place in Colorado! We are a large group and have been here every year for 5 years - it is a darling old dude ranch, with a large hot springs and located in a beautiful valley. We ride our OHVs right out the front door to Pitkin and over to Taylor Park. Then back to soak! We are allowed use of their commercial kitchen for meals, as long as we clean up! The Pringle family is friendly and fun. Rooms are fun old ranch rooms decorated so cute. So relaxing and quiet and fun. Cannot recommend it enough!

What an amazing weekend!! My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday and we had such a great time. The views are amazing, its so quiet and peaceful and a perfect place to relax. Everything was so clean including the pool area, overnight rooms, changing areas, and bathrooms. They have so many animals (dogs, cats, goats, donkey, horses) on their farm that are friendly. We saw lot of birds including so many hummingbirds. We also saw marmot pretty up close right from the pool. The Pringles family is so kind and attentive. We had a beautiful huge breakfast in the morning followed by one more soak before we had to pack up and head back to reality, but enjoying this little hidden gem was a perfect way to spend my birthday weekend. Cannot wait to return and will for sure be booking family and friend gatherings in the future!! Thank you for having us and sharing your beautiful home and property!

It was awesome for all ages with space for dining, games of all kinds, relaxing in the warm pool. Tammy and crew are gracious hosts. Excursions to Crested Butte, Blue Mesa and Horseback riding kept the action going. Simply a first rate place for our reunion of 39.

I had such a relaxed and decompressing visit. Highly recommend. I will be back..to float in the pool, and sleep like a babe, and walk in nature. The restaurants in Gunnison were excellent as always..and the road leading to the ranch was so well maintained and easy. Thank you Pringle family for sharing your wonderful ranch with the world. So grateful!

We were at a reunion that was held there for a week. The place is so comfortable and peaceful, with a huge magma-heated pool and hot tubs. A great place!
Comfortable beds, great facility for a group, beauty all around, and all the HOT water you can imagine!

I've visited Waunita Hot Springs Ranch 3 times and can not wait to get back again. Great Family vacation for all ages. Wonderful accomodations, food and activities, especially if you like horseback riding, swimming and white water rafting. The rides go to some of the most beautiful country I've seen. The owners and staff are wonderful people who want to make your stay the best week of your life. The ranch has a extremely high percentage of repeating guest.

Thanks for the question. There is no doubt we are first a foremost a guest ranch. In fact, the springs are only available during the off season (non summer) months when the ranch activities are not in operation. The pool is 90 x 35 and kept around 100* with the 8 person hot tub around 105*. The water flows by gravity from the main spring which is 175* ! The hot springs "traditionalist" may be disappointed with no natural, in the creek, soaking pools. However, I have had many hot springs enthusiast tell me it is one of their favorites for size, depth of water and temperature. Hope that helps, you can see pictures of the pool at our website.
