My husband booked us a room as a surprise for me on our 17th Wedding Anniversary and what a wonderful surprise! The ranch is away from everywhere and it was so relaxing. I still needed to check my emails because of my work and the internet was fine for checking and returning emails. It was so nice to "unplug" my computer and phone. I used my phone to take pictures. Our room was wonderful and we had brought our own small meals. We also brought our 4-wheel drive gator and everyday we took off for the entire day exploring the trails. There are tons of OHV trails, from Novice to Experienced drivers. There are small towns like Pitkin and Tin Cup to visit, all boasting small places to eat wonderful food. In the evenings we visited the hot springs pool right outside the lodging and it also had a very warm/relaxing hot tub. We will definitely come here again. The prices were very reasonable and the hosts were outstanding!…
It was awesome for all ages with space for dining, games of all kinds, relaxing in the warm pool. Tammy and crew are gracious hosts. Excursions to Crested Butte, Blue Mesa and Horseback riding kept the action going. Simply a first rate place for our reunion of 39.
Great place for a family reunion. Our family of 50 got together the end of May 2021 at the ranch. What a great venue. We spent 3 nights (not enough) with the family. The days were filled with fishing, ATV's and the kids at the pool. Evenings were spent socializing in the dining room, the rec room and again at the hot tub and pool. The commercial kitchen made prepping our meals a breeze. Our hosts, The Pringles, are great people and made our outing an enjoyable experience.
I just returned from a two-night stay at Waunita Hot Springs Ranch. It was wonderful! My company has been working from home since March and felt we needed to get together, but in a way that was socially distanced. It was easy to do so at the Ranch and it was wonderful for other reasons, too. The ranch is large and open and the history is interesting. It's family-run and Tammi and Ryan were great hosts. They now rent out the place for large family or corporate gatherings, but we were lucky to get our small party to go there. * The rooms are all Western themed and have nice bathrooms and comfy beds. I new I could relax when I realized we didn't need a key to our room. My coworkers were the only ones in the building! The beds were AWESOME and there were a number of 'family rooms', which were rooms with an extra bedroom with bunks for the kids. * The place was super kid friendly. I told my 6yo that I would either be in the room, out on the deck or in the pool and he was free to do whatever. He spent lots of time, petting the dogs, horses, cats and bunnies and just running around and being a boy. * The food was wonderful! They cooked us hearty dinners and breakfast and we took care of our lunch. * The hot springs pool was great. It was super large and had a TON of pool toys and floatables to relax in. * We ate all of our meals outside on the deck/picnic tables. * We had S'mores every night by the fire next to the tee pee. * I went mountain biking and some people drove to Gunnison. * The one tough spot was the wifi didn't work and there is NO cell access. They were gracious enough to let me use the Wifi at their home (also on the ranch), which was a super quick drive away/long walk. Now I have to figure out how to convince 25 of my friends to show up, so we can rent again!…
Super mountain ranch location near Gunnison. Remote location is nice for a get away. Horse back riding or take the ATVs through the mountains or a quick trip to the small town of Pitkin. Spot the elk and deer wildlife. Owners and staff are all family members.
If you are looking for a place to stay in the Gunnison / Monarch area, I would definitely recommend this place for large groups. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the place was great. The kids really enjoyed the hot springs pool, especially in -20F weather. It has access to Monarch Mountain and Crested Butte, with a little bit of a drive each day.
Attended a wedding here. Perfect place for one. The ranch is set about 8 miles from the highway. You will go down a dirt road. Met Tammy, one of the owners. Very friendly and nice. The ranch provided the food for the meal. It was so delicious. The grounds were clean and well kept.
Yoga Retreat with incredible views and natural hot springs. History abounds this place from Native American treaties to early settlers Sanatorium. Now family owned the Pringles offer guest home cooking and family friendly environment. Rooms are clean and comfy. The hotel is vintage with quirks. Hot springs are the highlight. BYOB. Family reunions, Weddings, or couple get away.
Seven of us met at the ranch for a fun night of catching up. The rooms are so comfortable and clean. The lack of internet made it perfect to focus on friends! We soaked late into the night enjoying the wonderful hot water in the pool and then the hot tub. Breakfast the next morning was great- bacon, eggs with green chili, cinnamon rolls, fruit, coffee, juice and more. Then we walked around before heading out ‘the back way’ to view leaves and enjoy a perfect day. Wish we could have stayed another night!!
We had our family reunion here over a weekend. We had close to 40 family members so they closed the ranch for our group! The scenery was amazing. The hot springs pool and hot tub were fun. The pool was so relaxing. It is a bit dated but we still had a grand time. Breakfast and dinner were included and the food was delicious. The Pringle Family (owners) made us feel at home, they were very accommodating. I'd have given them 5 stars but my husband and I found the bed to be harder than we like and the pillows were a bit flat. However, other members of the group had no problems with the beds so it just depends on what you like. I look forward to going again.
