Amazing staff, fun amenities, close to amazing parts of Colorado including some national parks, great yard space, great living quarters. I stayed in the "small" private room. The bed was insanely comfortable, they did not cheap out or cut any corners. The closet was spacious and towels, a fan, blow drier, table, wash clothes, soaps, etc. were provided. The space was so homey and welcoming and insanely affordable. You cannot go wrong with staying here - I would recommend it for people ages 18 - 30.

This was definitely the best hostel experience we’ve ever had. The owner, Amy, was so wonderful and welcoming. The other guest were also awesome, and the whole vibe of the place can’t be beat. Very cozy. Would definitely go back!

The Wanderlust Hostel is full of great people in a gorgeous mountain town next to a lot of beautiful places to hike. The owner Amy is an absolute treasure. The Hostel itself is very clean, cozy, and full of great DVD/VHS's to watch after a long day of hiking. This place is truly a treasure.

I was here to drop my child off at school. I was met with a wonderful welcome by a guest and then the hostess. It was great. Wonderful guests. Considerate and good conversation helped me. The only issue I had with this was that as soon as I got into my room, I rented the large private, it smelled horribly like cat pee. There was a fan blowing in the window and I assume it was to help. By the time I returned later, the smell was gone. I did ask the hostess if there was a cat in the house. There was. I feel this is something that has to be noted on the site. I know that they accept pets, but having a pet being able to roam the house and in a guest's room prior to their arrival can cause problems for those who have allergies.

A friend and I needed a place in Gunnison for one night on our way to Telluride. Wanderlust was comfortable, very well organized, in a convenient location, cheerful, very well maintained, and economical. We didn't need the kitchen except for storing our frozen items, but it would have been a great place to cook a meal given its organization, equipment, and cleanliness. The afternoon and night we spent at Wanderlust was very, very quiet and we had the impression that all guests are quiet all the time, but we did hear from another guest that a previous night had been noisy. We appreciate that he management provided a safe place for us to store our bicycles overnight. The location is convenient to walk to restaurants.

Room Tip: The private room off the living room is the best private room. One bed, one futon. Bathroom close.

I stayed here in the small private room. It was so cozy and inviting that it didn’t take very long after my head hit the pillow to fall asleep. The hostel was decorated in a fun way and since it’s in an actual house converted to hostel it felt very homey. The small room is great for a solo traveler like me that doesn’t want to do a shared bedroom with strangers but doesn’t mind sharing a bathroom, kitchen, and tv/sitting area and doesn’t want to pay $120 just to sleep for the night. The hosts are friendly as well. If I’m ever over in that area while visiting Colorado I’d definitely stay again.

The Staff is very friendly & helpful, they will try to help out as much as possible. Good place to meet people and a good warm bed & ect,. Very close to get the free bus to Crested Butte & hang out for the day. Also good place to do some exercise & Thur the area. Thanks for the bike, that was fun going around town on them. The place is very clean, I enjoy every min of my 2week's stay. Hope to return for sure in the future. I want to thank Amy & all of her staff for everything. Sergio Gonzalez Runner/Coach 👍☕🤙👣🏃

I was put off by their idea of coed lodging, they have two rooms with 3 sets of bunk beds, they could put men in one and women in the other room no reason to expect complete strangers to sleep in the same small space, I spent the night on the couch in the living room rather than sleep in a room with a girl who young enough to be my granddaughter. I would stay there again, the couch wasn't that bad
