We have chosen Chez Payet for one night just before leaving our favourite destination Seychelles. This is an accommodation that 99% of the guests are using it just for one night if they arrive very late at night or if they leave very early in the morning. Unfortunately the room we have received was not very appealing having some old kitchen appliances and facing the main road which is quite busy even at night. So there was a lot of noise and we did not sleep well before a long flight of 10 hrs. We could not find the hairdryer in the room and since it was very late the owner was already sleeping so we couldn’t ask for one. We really like more Le Manglier rather than Chez Payet and probably next time we will not return to Chez Payet if we need to spend first and/or the last night near the airport.

We could not sleep in the bedroom which we had booked because they had a problem with it. They should have told us before our arrival and let us decide if we wanted to stay there in a worse room. They didn't do it, but they arranged other room for us free of charge. So we cannot tell how the accomodation really is. However, the room in which we actually slept was really dirty and unconfortable. There are also lots of insects. We didn't sleep at all and didn't feel very safe in it. I wouldn't stay another time there, even considering the location, which is very convenient. On the other side, they are very attentive and sympathetic. They also helped us with transfers around the island and provided good information about Mahé.

We booked on a room only basis and they arranged transfers. Jona picked us up & from the outset she made us feel like family. What a welcome! Jona stopped en route at a shop because to our complete surprise even our room had its own kitchen! Ingredients for breakfast are provided. Rodney the owner does most of the airport transfers for a very reasonable price. He's always on time. The house backs on to exotic gardens, home to the largest flock of Madagascan Fodies that you're ever likely to see. A perfect farewell to Seychelles.

Spending one night for connecting with Bird island, very kind hostess and she arranged the pickup and delivery from ferry/to airport. The location is quite far-off, better do shopping before arrival in case you have dinner to fix.

I stayed at Chez Payet for 2 nights. Rodney is the most kind host I’ve ever met. He picked me up and dropped me off to/from the airport multiple times, and went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and help with everything you need. If one day I return to this beautiful island, I’ll definitely choose Chez Payet Guesthouse again. Thank you Rodney, I wish you all the best!

I had a relaxing last night in the Seychelles here. The bedroom was well air conditioned and the bathroom had a hot water switch to turn on while the shower had plentiful hot water which was useful at 5,30 a.m. when I had to get up. The kitchen and living room was large and there was milk bread, butter, jam and eggs for basic 'help yourself' cooking. Rodney, the owner, is very personable and arranged the early wake up call that I needed. The short run to the Airport was undertaken by him for a reasonable 5 Euro/ 75 Seychelles Rupee fee.

This small guest house has 6 rooms, including one large family suite that would sleep six. It is 2 minutes from the airport and Rodney, the owner, offers a shuttle drop or collection to the airport because most taxis don't want to do the short trip. Rooms are very basic and in need of a make over but they have everything you need including tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, eggs, jam. The guesthouse does not do breakfast or dinner so we picked up a pizza on the way there. There are no really decent restaurants nearby but there is a small shop where you can get a drink. As I said, the rooms are very basic and we had a slight issue with ants but the aircon is excellent and wifi is included. If you just want somewhere to sleep pre or post a flight, it's fine.

We had an excellent long holiday as we had lots of family & friends to visit there. Very convenient to airport, bus station, village shops and local takeaways. Rodney is an excellent host, whatever services you would like he has many local contacts, excellent cleaning staff, our room was quiet. We loved having nice kitchen it’s great for long stay specially with local shops nearby to buy fresh fruits & vegetables. Well maintained & beautiful flowers & garden. Wonderful place to stay
