We had a suite with a hotplate, fridge and microwave, which we used to prepare all of our meals, as my wife requires a gluten-free/dairy-free diet which is hard to come by in a place like Nome! We didn't trust any of the restaurants. Just make sure you ask for one of the larger suites. We were put in a small one for starters, and it just wasn't big enough for two people to spend a week and prepare all of their meals. But after one night the staff managed to give us a larger room, and it worked well for us. We also rented a Jeep from them and while it showed the wear and tear of those gravel roads, it worked very well for us. Just be prepared for $6.30 a gallon gas!

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Dredge 7. The room was cozy and comfortable, cleaned daily and provided access to a common/kitchen area. The staff was very kind and accommodating on short notice and check-in was simple. I would gladly stay again.

The rooms with common area and kitchen were ideal for visiting friends in Nome, with its location and rental car availability as a big plus.

Rooms were comfortable, and the grills complemented the kitchen. There were some items lacking or old in the kitchen, but we understand this is being resolved very soon.

Check-in had some issues as well, but they were handled quickly and very well and our stay was wonderful.

Note that our suite had two smaller refrigerator/freezer units that together had plenty of room. Stores are right down the road for groceries.

Highly recommend and will use No.7 for future visits!

I just spent a week of vacation in Nome and at the Dredge7Inn. To say both exceeded my exceptions is truly and understatement.

There may still be gold in the water off the coast of Nome, but the true treasure is the people of Nome. So genuine, down-to-earth, and caring.

This transfers to the team at the hotel. Every single one of them have a heart of gold and go out of their way to proactively help and if there are things to be solved/resolved, they are "on it" straightaway.

The hospitality I experienced from the team rivaled that of the many Ritz Carlton's I have stayed at all over the world.

It is an older hotel for sure, but they rooms are clean, the beds are really comfortable and the bathroom renovation (in my opinion the most important part) is meticulous.

I can't wait to return to Nome and hopefully to stay at the Dredge7Inn.

Thank you.

The Dredge 7 Inn is showing its age and lack of competition in town. The rooms are tiny and the beds are not really all that comfortable. Everything just feels cramped. Toiletries are in mass industrial dispensers. Normally I don’t mind this (who needs to add more to a landfill), but they have watered down the shampoo and body wash to the point of being utterly useless. I had to go out and buy a bar of soap just to take a shower. Also, all the towels are hot pink. I can understand why they might do this to discourage people walking off with them, but it also means that they are not bleaching them for safety. Bedbugs are an unfortunate reality in much of rural Alaska, and I did not appreciate the hotel skipping a sanitary step like that.

Also be aware that they have multiple buildings in Nome and are not good at communicating which one you are staying at ahead of time. I drove out to the main building near Icy View because that what was listed on my itinerary, only to find not only no one around but when I did finally track someone down that I had to turn right back around and drive into town. Poor communication.

Overall, I was just underwhelmed by my stay. I will pass next time I am in town.

I didn't stay at Dredge 7, but rented a vehicle from them and had a wonderful experience. Nome is walkable, but there are also a few truly incredible drives to be had, and Dredge 7 made the rental experience fast, easy and affordable. I got a clean, reliable 4x4 SUV and saw mountains, lakes, and musk ox. Thank you Dredge 7, you helped make my trip to Nome truly memorable.

This was my first trip to Nome. The hotel was exceptional presenting an updated nostalgic decor with a historical viewpoint throughout. The accommodations were excellent. The check-in and check-out were seamless and very efficient ensuring a relaxing stay. The hotel staff were very courteous and conscientious from the beginning to the end of the stay. I would recommend this hotel.

Nome is a nice and little village not far from Anchorage.
Despite its climate , its inhabitants are warm , kind and gentle.
They are very available in speaking to the visitors who are always welcome.
On the contrary Dredge N. 7 Inn is particular in its gender.
If what you are looking for is privacy and discretion this place is quite for you.
The owners won’t never invade your spaces.
If you are lucky , you probably will keep in touch with the guy who owns the Inn.
I personally tried to speak to the lady owner through an Ipad hung on a wall at the entry, but the connection was not good at all . So I just introduced myself.
The weather is quite frozen.
If you come here you are prepared to that .
Be prepared to get a car for rent.
In general Dredge N 7 Inn is nice and well managed.
Be advised that as they sharply precise they do not manage a B&B but an Inn.
Should you decide to come , grab a pack of snacks with you while you get the time to go and buy something at the grocery store once arrived.

I had a great stay at Dredge 7! I stayed at the Sluicebox location, and everything went really smoothly. I arrived at around 10:30 am, and they let me check in early, which was great! I was in the Miner's Landing, and the room was very comfortable and clean. The Sluicebox location is great - right in town, and just a few minutes walk from everything (though I guess everything is close by in Nome). I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Nome!

There is free parking, but to rent a car in Nome you do it through your hotel. I was moved from the Dredge 7 Inn to its other site, the Sluicebox. Taking a cab to this location, there was no staff there. You find your name on the magnetic message board and get the information about your room. My rental car was not at that location and was not available until the next morning, anyway. I had to take a cab to the other location to get my rental car. Upon arrival, there was no staff there. I finally got someone on the phone and found that they had forgotten to leave my car keys. I had to wait for a staff member to arrive to get my car. If it had not been for that, I would never have seen a staff member at any time during my stay. The room was adequate, but the chaos of checking in and getting my car was distressing.
