Most rooms face the mountains and the view was simply glorious from our room on the second floor. We also enjoyed the many swallows that nested on the walkway. Breakfast had good selection of cereal breads fruit yogurt and boiled eggs. Room was good size and mostly comfortable So why wasn't this a higher rating? The tub was stained and... More

This is a great option if you want to be close to the badlands. It's about a mile outside the park. This is a great place to stay if you want to do the Rangers night talks. Nothing special about the motel. It's clean, the staff were friendly and it has nice views. We would stay here again. The breakfast... More

After reading the reviews, I was unsure of what we'd find, but was pleasantly surprised to find a clean motel just outside the south entrance to the park. Since the motel is set off by itself, you are able to take in a great sunrise and sunset view. Breakfast was adequate and a great asset since there are very few... More

We made our reservations months in advance, we didn't know that some of them do not have back porch, our front porch looked at the other cabins. They know they have your business if you want to stay in the park! They were not full but they would not change our cabin. Also the cabin was not ready at check... More

We wondered why they charged us in advance for this motel, which is what it is, and once we saw it we figured it was so we couldn't refuse. Not that there are a lot of choices in the area. No one was in the office, we had to drive to their other location a mile down the road. The... More

I arrived at this motel and found that it was a two story building sitting all by itself about a mile from the gate into Badlands National Park. There was not a car in sight! I went to the office and found it was locked with a sign to check in at the Cedar Pass Lodge in the park about... More

The Badlands Inn is an old, run down motel that has been annexed by Forever Resorts to help with the overflow from the Cedar Pass Lodge. The accommodations were the poorest I have seen in years. The room should have cost $32.88, not the $132.88 we paid. The flies were terrible, floors dirty, birds nesting outside our door with all... More

We arrived at Badlands Inn around 8pm on 8/12 for 2 nights. We had to go to Cedar Pass Lodge to check in. We expected some fly issues having read some past reviews but we learned that this is the area where you just have to deal with flies and swallows. So, no problems with them. We, however, found a... The badlands inn has every opportunity to be a terrific business. Had read all the negative reviews but booked anyway as we enjoy the environment and are not bothered by a few flies. We were greeted by a rather tired receptionist who yawned all thru our sign in. The flies were there & the window was cracked & broken. We... More

Disappointing stay for this price level. Room on first floor was nicely decorated, comfy beds, but dead flies lined both window sills. Should have been vacuumed/removed by housekeeping. No towel bar in bathroom. Issue of no check-in until after 5:00 is ridiculous. They will not simply allow check in by Lodge staff. Breakfast hostess was disengaged. Had Sci-Fi channel on... More
