The Sunflower Inn is a must stay when visiting Moab! I am so glad we found this place when looking for somewhere to stay while visiting Moab! It is close to many restaurants and activities in town but far enough you are away from the crowds. We enjoyed mornings in the parks. With the temps being above 100 each day it was so nice to come back and cool off in the pool. We met several couples during our and it was nice to chat with them while relaxing. Breakfast was amazing. It was nice to be able to choose from several options and the warm dish (quiche both days) was delicious! The cookies tied to our door each day to remind us to order breakfast was a nice surprise! The inn keepers have added so many thoughtful touches. There were baked goods on the breakfast table you could snack on through out the day and robes in our rooms. The free laundry was another added bonus. We stayed in the Summer House. Although there were only two of us it sleeps 4 and there is plenty of room! 100% recommend booking ASAP if you are planning a visit to Moab!…
In a town like Moab full of bland motels, coming upon the quaint, warm, well-appointed Sunflower Hill Inn was a delightful treat. The staff quickly learned our names and responded to our many questions and requests. Naomi and John both went out of their way to help us on more than one occasion. Each afternoon freshly packaged macaroons tied to our door reminded us to order breakfast. In the great room where we ate breakfast- and listened to a vinyl Tupelo Honey album by Van Morrison on an old-fashioned record player - guests readily shared stories and suggested hikes. Our spacious room, The Loft, offered the comfort we needed after hiking all day. It’s balcony provided a view of the beautiful, well-tended garden. We can’t wait to return!
We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Sunflower Hill. The location was great. The room and grounds were lovely, as was the staff. They seemed to have thought of everything. Each day there is a hot breakfast frittata and either a muffin or scone, plus you can order other items that are delivered to the pantry fridge. We enjoyed the smoothie and granola. They have ice for your cooler, a washer/dryer and even something to clean the car windshield. There are several outdoor seating groups and cookies on your door in the afternoon. Our room was quiet and we only occasionally saw other guests, who were friendly. We were there a week and received fresh towels when requested. Highly recommend the Sunset Grill for dinner (view, food and waitress were excellent).
We stayed three nights in the Bowery room. I have read so many positive reviews that say exactly what I would describe. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the gardens. Two breakfast choices were made the night before along with the time requested, starting at 7 am. Coffee was available in the common area at 6:15 but you can also make it in your room. Besides the two wonderful breakfast choices, there was a pastry and a hot egg dish available. We appreciated having the use of a refrigerator for drinks, ice, and our leftover dinner. The use of the washer and dryer was a nice touch. It was a treat to stay here and kudos to the new owners. Well done!
When we travel, we love to stay in Bed and Breakfast places. This is our new standard for comparison! From the grounds when you drive in thru the room we stayed in, this inn is more than welcoming and fun. Emily (the owner) is super nice and seems to have thought of everything; her staff was also great. So glad we had 4 nights to enjoy this inn. Bob and Denise
I am so happy we stayed here. The owner, Emily, has left no stone un-turned, she has thought of literally everything! We stayed in the "Ivy Room" which was perfect for my Husband and I. The King bed was super comfy and the room spacious. There were bath robes, soft blankets in the closet, even a noise machine in the room, for those (like myself) that need some white noise to sleep peacefully. The breakfast was great, choosing the evening before your items and time you'd like available, and then placed in the pantry for your pickup...then, a daily hot dish and fresh baked pastries in the great room. The pool had just opened, but we did take the plunge after a long day of hiking- which felt so good. There are resident chickens, which I got to feed and a lovely greenhouse where the Chef picks fresh herbs and greens for the daily treats. The locations is the best, we walked to every place along Main Street. I just cannot say enough of this sweet Inn. Emily and her staff are just, THE BEST. Cannot wait to return!…
We have stayed at the Sunflower each March for 21 years (except 2021). We were a little apprehensive about returning this year because the inn is under new management and there have been some changes. However, I'm pleased to report we really enjoyed our visit! The new owner, Emily (the former mayor of Moab), is very engaging and was concerned about our comfort and happiness. There used to be two buildings, but now there is just one. The room we have always stayed in, The Bowery, is still there and just as nice as ever. The breakfast offerings are varied and the food is plentiful and delicious. The main difference is that you order what you want the evening before and it is delivered to you in a basket the next morning. In addition to your choices, there is always a yummy frittata and muffins or scones. You can eat in the great room with other guests or in your own room. Other little changes we noticed were fine with us. Don't hesitate to return to the Sunflower. There are some newer, interesting restaurant options, most notably 98 Center, where we had a very good Asian-influenced meal. Arches NP is starting a timed-entry procedure, so plan ahead and enjoy!…
The inn has recently been upgraded and is phenomenal. The rooms are charming, the common area is so comfortable. The innkeeper is amazingly helpful. Great restaurant recommendations The breakfast is great and innovative- you pick a la carte and it is delivered in a basket. Very safe and tasty. There is also free laundry- perfect after many days of hiking.
We stayed 3 nights in the Summer House. This is a 2 bedroom suite that was very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were great and the staff friendly and helpful. There is plenty of free parking and a free guest laundry, Because it was off season we did not use the pool or hot tub, but they would be nice when the weather warms up. We would stay there again.
We had a perfect stay at this lovely inn in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The inn is beautiful in every way and offers comfortable beds, plenty of pillows to suit us picky pillow people, delicious breakfast and a fascinating innkeeper. The Bowery room has a huge jetted tub and balcony looking toward the red cliffs. We wanted for nothing! Thanks Ms. Emily. We will see you soon!
