It is such a pleasure to come to Sunflower Hill Inn and truly relax. After a good day of riding and/or hiking in and around Moab, the Sunflower Hill Inn feels like an oasis. Wonderful staff and wonderful environment.
We recently spent 4 nights at the Sunflower Hill in Moab. Without a doubt, one of the best B&Bs we've ever stayed in! Location -- Terrific - walking distance to Main St. yet far enough away from the traffic. And once you're on the property, the grounds are so peaceful -- the pool area is very relaxing and the landscaping is beautiful and constantly being tended to. In fact, one afternoon, we took a break from the national parks and just sat at the pool and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Rooms -- We stayed in the Sunset Suite and it was great -- nice sitting area, large bathroom and very quiet. Food -- Every morning, the breakfast was different and very tasty. Always an interesting hot dish plus fresh fruit, oatmeal, pastries, etc. Nice way to start the day. And then in the afternoon, homemade cookies appeared. And throughout the day, there was always coffee and tea as well as snacks. Staff -- Everyone we encountered couldn't have been nicer. No one was intrusive so if you wanted your privacy, it wasn't a problem. But at the same time, they were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and sightseeing info. In summary, I can't think of any other place I would have rather stayed in Moab or any other place for that matter. And this is from a person who generally likes to stay in full service hotels. So, if you're headed to this part of the country, definitely check out Sunflower Hill. It's fantastic!!…
I've been a patron of Sunflower Hill for decades. The Inn and its staff always impress me with their warm ambiance, attention to detail and genuine care for the guests. Over the years the Inn has added many amenities, enhanced their gardens and common areas and continued to offer a true respite from the craziness of Moab proper! We love Sunflower Hill and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and genuinely special experience in Moab. Thanks to Alan and Kathleen for taking good care of us in February!
We stayed in the Ivy Room, which was delightful. If the Inn were crowded, it might be a bit noisy as it is near the incoming door for one of the buildings. The Inn Keeper, Gregg, was a delight in sharing his ideas with us for hiking. The hosts at the desk were very attentive to our needs and shared hiking and restaurant gems. The hotel is in a perfect location within walking distance to town but quiet and where you can see the stars. Although it was too early to enjoy the pool or the gardens, we could truly imagine ourselves enjoying them. The hot tub DID call us. Breakfasts were excellent!
Everything about Sunflower Hill is wonderful: the rooms (perfectly appointed), the location (blocks from downtown but far enough away to be quiet), the food (the homemade breakfast buffet is outstanding) and, most of all, the staff, who are supremely attentive, sweet and loving. When they realized our dietary needs, they changed the breakfast menu the very next day to accomodate. They lent us local travel books. Offered great tips. And checked in at all the right moments throughout our stay.
