We unexpectedly went through Moab on our way to Sedona. We were looking for a place to stay for the night. This campground belongs to family members of a friend of mine. We were able to get a room at the last minute, which accommodated our family very comfortably. Although the campground was closed for the season, they kindly allowed us to stay there for the night. They also made the entire facility available to us. This included not just the sleeping room but also the shower house and the kitchen area. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Moab. In fact we liked it so much that we are planning another trip there just so we can stay at the campground. The hosts were more than kind and have made every effort to ensure their accommodations feel homey and comfortable.

I’m not complaining; it is great to see so many people out having fun but this type of crowd and noise is not for me. Children’s sandbox two feet from my tent etc. Everyone is friendly and the common areas are clean but it is NOISY from people and traffic.

We camped for one night before heading out to Arches NP, and the amenities were fantastic! One of the owners greeted us immediately, even though we arrived late in the evening, and we had a great conversation with her, then she showed us to our campsite and gave us a tour of the facilities. The indoor kitchen has everything you'd need to make a 10 course meal, the outdoor kitchen was gorgeous (we wished we'd had time to use it), and the bathroom was spotless and beautiful as well. By far the nicest facilities I've had in many years of camping! The only downside was the proximity to the highway - if you're sensitive to noise and staying in a tent, the traffic may bother you.

So, the good things... Bathroom is extremely clean, and no charge for the showers. Large also clean open outdoor cooking area. Nice views of the Red Rock surrounding the South entrance to Moab. Now let's get down to some nitty-gritty. It's right on the corner of Highway 191. And as such it's very loud with traffic noise. The spaces are small and not exactly level, with no hope of any outdoor eating in several sites, as they are on a steep slant. Worse--the two people we have interacted with at the front desk have been just this side of rude. This morning I went in and very nicely asked for a new picnic table for our site. About two-thirds of the sites have new tables, with the other third having old handmade wooden ones that are popped apart and peeling. The campground clearly is on task with getting new picnic tables, yay. However, when I nicely asked the older, gray-haired, woman at the front desk this morning to rotate in a new picnic table to our site because ours was broken and had screws sticking out, [see attached pictures] she was snarky. She explained they were fully booked. She explained she personally could not do this because she had to stay at the front desk. I, again, very politely, responded that I understood. We would be out hiking all day. And if she could ask her crew to get a new picnic table in and make the spot level so it was usable, we would really appreciate it. She said well, you just have a great day. And she did not say this nicely, she said it in a really sarcastic way. I politely responded that I hoped she had a great day, and I left the office.. So two stars for you, ACT Campground-- clearly your staff needs some training in courtesy.

I received the message from my front desk you needed a new table. Thanks for letting us know and we did replace the table. Our manager spoke with you and you said thanks. However, I did not know about our front desk people being rude. I am so sorry. We have done professional workshops on customer service but it looks like we need to do more. I really appreciate you letting us know because this is not how we want to operate. This matter will be addressed. Cherie, Owner

We stayed in room 6 which has accommodations for nine. This room was perfect for our family of six. It was a bit hot in the room during the day, but other than that it was great. The couple that runs the campground is really sweet and the communal kitchen area is awesome! Everything is super clean and the other campers were very respectful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again!
