Very old room had a unpleasant odor, carpet was full of spots. Did not go any further in the room due to the odor. When asked where breakfast was served we were told on a small table in office. This hotel is in a residential neighborhood and there was no other vehicles in site on the property at 7 pm.... More

My wife, dog, and I ended up at the Apache Motel after touring the Great Basin National Park in Nevada. I gave this family run motel an excellent rating because of its historic significance. It is on the National List of Historic Places. John Wayne stayed here in Rooms 20 and/or 34 while filming various movies in the Moab area.... More

The woman at the front desk was very nice and helped me find a local place to eat. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom light was super annoying. The light and fan were the same switch and the fan was very loud. Also, if you shut the light off, whatever you have plugged in shuts off. The pool was tiny, but... More

The Apache Motel is an old, plain jane, no frills motel. If you're out all day in the hot Moab sun and you need a clean, cool place to crash, the Apache is for you. If you get turned off by old, Motel 6 type motels, stay someplace else. It's off the beaten path so it's also nice and quiet.... More

The first room we had smelt like wet dog and the room we wound up still had a horrible smell. The only thing positive was the beds were decently comfortable. John Wayne may have stayed there, but it wasn't all that impressive and under-welming. Only upside is its close to Arches National Park.

Stayed one night with my dog. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Parking right in front. AC worked well. Front desk not overly friendly, but efficient. Pancake breakfast in the morning, included. Great dog park a few blocks away. Pool was popular. I would stay again.

So this motel sells itself on the back of John Wayne having stayed there and we thought it would be fun... We arrived and waited 10 minutes to check in, despite having rung the bell numerous times and allying out, but it did give us time to survey the detritus all over the back room and partially in the office... Okay this place is old but awesome! It was clean and quiet and affordable! It had a fridge and was very suited for our needs. Plus who doesn't want to stay where John Wayne stayed?!? I would definitely stay again. There was also this little partition that was off the bathroom that had a small vanity and the mini fridge.... More

After reading some reviews from other travelers, we decided to make reservations to stay at Apache Motel. Good thing we reserved well in advance, because the hotel was full every night of the 3 nights we stayed. If you are into Geocaching, there is a geocache on the premises. Our room was great, big room, clean, large bathroom, the staff... More

We stayed there for 2 nights while visiting Arches National Park. Our room was a bit old but it was clean and the beds were good. We could hear folks in other rooms around ours, but it never did bother us once we went to bed. It is an older motel but quite decent and we would stay there again... More
