Sites are well maintained but not a lot of space. Park is on the highway which brings a certain level of noise but the real problem for us was the noise from the ATV’s/UTV’s within the park. Although quiet hours supposedly begin at 10 p.m. people would roar through the park or start engines in the middle of the night while working on their units. In addition, several people were working on their units with very bright LED lights at 1 in the morning which was also VERY distracting. Calls to the office went unaddressed.
Spaces are very close together. Others have mentioned level sites. Not sure where they stayed. Most site are so uneven RVs had wheels up on blocks or on the air. Highway noise was a definite but not deafening. I thought I booked a better site choice but we ended up in a side site looking into the Junk yard next door, not what I paid $300+ for 4 night.
Good things: clean and level parking. Beautiful views, easy access.......which was a little too easy (see below). Not so good: I base this on the price we paid, over $100 night, not a good value. Close spacing, highway noise was relentless. Not secure. We had an item stolen from our site the first night. When I reported it (just to give them a heads up) they mentioned others had items stolen too. They didn’t seem concerned, like it happened all the time. From then on, we locked everything inside our Motorhome at night which included 3 mountain bikes....what a cluster. I had an uneasy feeling the entire stay.
This was the worst camping experience ever. They charged our account to camp at the camp site, at 11 pm they came and told us that we can’t have a tent here. When we tried to figure something out(to mention we live 6 hours away), the so called management came yelling, waking up my 5 month old baby and screaming that we need to get the hell out because it’s their private property and that they can have us leave anytime they want to, and they don’t care that I had baby and kids sleeping. They said we signed papers saying we can’t have a tent here/ when we never signed anything. But they didn’t mind charging me money. The management was the worst management I’ve ever dealt with. Not willing to work with people. Saying that it on the paper they gave us, I have re read the paper 10 times which doesn’t say a word about it. They suggested us that all we can do is get the hell out and get a hotel. At 11 at night with kids! Photo with rules attached that supposedly had “no tents allowed” written that they’ve been screaming about…
Quiet and very clean! Sites are well apportioned and spacious. Good access to Arches and Canyon Land National Parks. Helpful management and friendly staff. Support services are good. Moab is a wonderful community to visit. Highly recommend!
