We spent three nights at Up the Creek Campground this July. We had been tent-camping in a series of national parks prior. Compared to those experiences, Up the Creek was luxurious. The restrooms are well maintained and the campground is beautiful. (The owners have numerous flowers and plants and have the greenest grass that I have ever seen.) It is... More

I'm not sure what I was expecting. I guess we were just used to the spacious national park campgrounds so this, which is a bit of a back yard with tents in it was a bit disappointing. There are showers although they aren't the most private. Toilets were clean and there was hand gel for washing hands. It's not as... More

We stayed here 3 nights and loved it. Initially not having the car next to us was a bind but in the end we loved the fact that there were no cars driving round this small site. Anyway there are trollies to cart your stuff. Also loved being to walk into town. Had no problems pegging tent out at our... More

Chose this campground since it is in the middle of the town of Moab. The sites were very rocky and it was difficult to get the tent staked up. Everything was done via phone and internet, never saw anybody from the facility. Bathrooms were clean but with the low "doors" (both toilet and showers) a bit strange. Will pick a... More

Pros - location to town, tucked away from too much noise, quiet time was observed. Bathrooms/showers were clean. Nice place to wash dishes on outside of bathrooms. Cons - Can't park near your tent. ROCKY. Be careful walking to and from your tent. The rocks are large enough to twist an ankle (especially at night). Hard to stake down tent... More

This is a great little campground if you want to be right in town with close access to everything. It's a little pricey IMO. Sites are small with a picnic table. Room for a tent and a few chairs. Pitching surface is sandy with a few rocks, but not bad at all. Main walking areas are mostly rocks. Nice manicured... More

We stayed here based off of the trip advisor reviews. It was difficult to stake down the tent because of all the rocks in the ground . Every time we went to pound it into the ground it wouldn't go in because of the rocks . The ants were pretty bad and they were all over us sitting at the... More

Be sure to bring good earplugs and a thick air mattress, or try a BLM campsite outside of town for one fifth the cost. If you have a annual pass for the National Parks, which is great for all the many beautiful parks in the area, you can camp at the many peaceful Bureau of Land Management campgrounds in the... More

This is a convenient campsite in downtown Moab. Hot showers are nice. Sites are not very big, basically there is room to pitch your tent, then a picnic table, then the next campsite, then another picnic table, etc. Fellow campers were quiet, but we used earplugs because at night could hear trucks and motor cycles on hwy 191. An air... More

A small campground right in town that is well kept with showers. The sites don't have a lot of privacy which would make the $35 more attractive. Each site has a picnic table. Given the price of hotels in town however the price isn't bad And unlike the blm land, you can walk to town
