This little in is 30 minutes from downtown Moab in a spectacular valley. It’s dark sky country and if you have not yet enjoyed a hot tub with the view of a million stars, you are in for a treat! It is a beautiful location and the owners, Scott and Jenn, serve a delicious homemade hot breakfast. Treat yourself to a unique experience while out in Moab!

A most wonderful peaceful restorative location near Moab and Arches National Park…our room was very spacious with a kitchenette and outdoor seating. Marta prepared a wonderful breakfast and we ate outdoors overlooking some of the fabulous scenery that Moab is known for. There is a restaurant nearby at Red Cliffs Lodge on the Colorado River. Moab is a beautiful ride of about 15-20 minutes on spectacular rte 128.

Really enjoyed the two nights we stayed at this privately owned Inn - located in a beautiful valley about 20 minutes from Moab (Utah 128 is one of the most scenic highways you will find anywhere that takes you there from Moab or down from I-70). Scott was a wonderful host and the cabin we stayed in was delightful - Scott makes a delicious banana break and breakfast burrito to go if you go that path. Although away from everything, their internet is still fast :)…. Would definitely recommend and come back again!

Castle Valley Inn is located in an incredibly beautiful and peaceful valley surrounded by sheer canyon and rock walls in all directions. Although it is 15 miles/25 minutes out of Moab, the drive up the canyon along the Colorado River is stunning. We stayed there 4 days and loved the drive back and forth. Jen and Scott are tremendous hosts, full of suggestions and advice. Their breakfasts were delectable, and for those leaving early to catch a sunrise or a tour, they will pack a breakfast the night before with a breakfast burrito or homemade granola bar. We loved sitting on the patio soaking up the peacefulness and amazing scenery over breakfast. Our room, Hovenweep, was tastefully decorated, and had a kitchenette as well as gas grill, which were perfect for making dinner and relaxing in Castle Valley. We’ve stayed at B and B’s around the country, and Castle Valley rates up there with the best! Over our 3 full days in Moab we went to Arches one day, Canyonlands another day, and at Scott’s suggestion, did a loop around the La Sal Loop Road with a stop at Bull Canyon to see amazing dinosaur footprints. Why would anyone stay in busy Moab when they could stay in this beautiful valley?

My husband Keith and I just finished a 5 night stay at the Castle Valley Inn. We towed an off road vehicle from California to off road in Moab and we were worried about being parked in Moab, so that's how we ended up staying at the Castle Valley Inn which was about 15 miles outside of town. The owners Scott and Jennifer are very accommodating. We contacted them ahead of time to make sure they would be able to accommodate our trailer and razor. We stayed in the Wingate room which had everything that we needed. They have a signup sheet for breakfast either at 7:45 am or 8:45 am each morning which is served in a quaint little room that seats 12. They also offer to deliver your breakfast to your room if you would prefer. If you are leaving before the first breakfast time slot they also offer breakfast burritos that they will deliver to your room the night before and you can just warm up in the microwave when leaving. The breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh! Our room also had a Keurig coffee maker and a small refrigerator. We also loved having their dog Louie run up to get petted each day. It made missing our own dog Max not so bad. I would highly recommend staying at the Castle Valley Inn. We hope to come back again someday. Scott and Jennifer, Thank you so much for your hospitality.

We stayed two night whilst visiting Canyonlands and Arches National Park. The property is in a beautiful setting and the drive to and from there was stunning. The room was sufficient but rather rustic (the chairs for the small kitchen table were handmade but awful to sit on)l. The bathroom was ok but little else to say about it. The breakfast was adequate but to be offered orange juice from a carton with a straw attached is not what I expect at this price point. The rest of the breakfast was ok but again, nothing beyond ordinary. The owners didn't really engage with us and we were left to our own devices. I don't expect service that is fawning, but I would have expected a little more engagement - there wasn't any unless we instigated it. This place could be a diamond if the service element was uplifted to the level the price charged. Compared to other B&B's we stayed at on our 3-week trip for similar cost, we found this stay disappointing.

Stayed in the Chinle room. The room was small but functional, except there was NOT a bathroom in the room. The private bathroom was down the hall. We did have a private bath with our own key, but you had to walk down the hall to use it. Thus a visit to the bathroom in the middle of the night require you to fumble around in the dark, get the key, walk down the hall. I just did not feel comfortable when other guest watched me walking down the hall with shower supplies etc. The place does have a very pretty view and it is located about a 25 minute very pretty drive outside of downtown Moab. The room had a microwave, coffee maker and robes. Due to COVID the breakfast was delivered outside your door in a soft sided cooler. I would not stay here again basically due to the lack a bathroom in the room. The price we paid was HIGH ( $194 ) for no bathroom. I do not know if the other rooms had a bathroom in the room.

What makes this place very special, is the location within Castle Valley. It´s much more quiet here than in Moab, and the landscape is stunning. We were here when the old dog of the owners unfortunately lived his last days, that was very sad. As we love dogs we ourselves, we could understand it was a sad moment for them. The owners made a delicious breakfast for us every day, and we could sit outside and enjoy the wonderful nature and gardens. If we come back to visit the parks around Moab, we will definitely stay here again. On our drive back to Moab, we saw some wildlife in the Colorado River. A breathtaking moment! Oh, and Utah´s biggest tree is just walking distance from the property.

Cannot speak more highly of this place. We stayed in the Entrada room and it was great. This is tucked away (about 30 minutes from Moab) and is so quiet. The breakfast was delicious (they even give you a yummy breakfast to go if you can’t make the sit down times) and the hot tub is a plus.

We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.

This Inn operates more like a solid B and B, with rooms within the owners’ home, along with some in separate lodge, and a great breakfast. The owner changed our room because the one I booked had a bath down the hall, although private to us. Another room with bath en suite was open, so he offered to “upgrade” us. He also offered to make a dinner reservation for s at the place down the road, which didn’t accept my request for one.

This area is simply magical. It is 17 miles outside Moab and a world of difference. There are only two resorts at which to dine nearby, so good planning is helpful. The hamlet has 300 people, and the surroundings are like having your own province Arches NP. The hamlet was the setting of many westerns back in the day. The one night we stayed here may end up being the most memorable part of our 10-day trip.
