Wonderful hospitality, food, and accommodations. We had an outstanding dinner there before retiring to the Byron Room which is conveniently located on the first floor. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and cozy, although rather small. Breakfast was soooo delicious - I wished I could finish it all. If we were to return to that area, we would stay there again, but I would choose a larger room.

We were there this past weekend for 4 days and absolutely loved it. The staff is so wonderful, friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and peaceful. We didn't have to listen to people in other rooms and didn't even hear water running in other bathrooms. We look forward to going back!

An excellent historic house and restaurant. Plenty of parking supplied free of charge. Lovely property full of character. We sat on the upstairs verandah and enjoyed some drinks before dinner which was great. Dinner (not included) was very high quality and beautifully seasoned. Breakfast was one of the best we have had anywhere on our trip to the civil war area. Owners very helpful and friendly. Rooms quiet and very comfortable.

I stayed there during a recent business. The staff was excellent and met all needs. The room itself was spacious and clean. The house itself is very accommodating and it's apparent they have furnished and decorated with attention to detail. I recommend it and will stay again when in the area. V/R S.H.M.

We stayed at Babcock House for one night on our way to Asheville, NC. Our hostess Talia was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. We stayed in the Havilah room which was beautifully decorated and had so many nice touches. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was so soft. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean. We ate dinner at Babcock House and the food and service were outstanding. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. If we are ever in Appomattox again, we will return to Babcock House.

We spent two nights in this lovely historic home. Our room was cozy and inviting. The house was clean and orderly. Our host and hostess were so friendly and accommodating, seemly without thinking about it. We enjoyed 2 delicious breakfasts, that we presented to us like we were family. This will be a place to return to as soon as we can! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

This B&B was an unexpected gem for my wife and I. We had stayed at the Doubleday house B&B in Gettysburg and we were hoping for a similar experience in Appomattox. Having never been to Appoxmattox, we had no prior experience to rely on. The Innkeepers, Talia the hostess and Charles the chef, are the most warm and welcoming people you’d ever what to meet. Just by themselves and their attention to details they added immensely to the enjoyment of our trip to Appomattox Court House NPS. The Babcock House has a full delicious hot breakfast and an excellent on site restaurant for supper. We were in the Rebecca room for three nights. The room was quiet, clean and while somewhat small, it had everything we needed. We wewe warnd there might be train noise but we never heard it. There’s coffee and tea 24 hours per day in the hallway. For us, The Babcock House was a very good base for civil war visits to Appomattox Court House NPS, little Saylers creek battlefield site, High Bridge, and Petersburg. In our experience, from years of staying at other bed and breakfast inn, the Babcock House is a Michelin star place to eat and stay in Virginia. 28 July 2022 Respectfully, W.S.
