This is an amazing place to stay, and Talia is awesome as she and her family made us feel at home. Breakfast was awesome and I wish we planned our trip when the restaurant was open, they’re close Monday and Tuesday. The Bradley room is actually a 2 room suite, which is perfect for a family stay as my daughter got her own room and slept on a day bed. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. There are a lot of activities that involve the house so you will need to check out their website. You will love your stay here.
Everything about the Babcock House was welcoming. Talia, the innkeeper, was very friendly. The Havilah room was really comfortable. Breakfast was great! Coffee and soda was made available at all times. We loved being so close to historical sites like the Appomattox Court House and it was fun to read about the history of one of the original owners of the house too.
Virginia is known for its' pristine civil war battlegrounds and its' beautiful countryside. No matter what road you take, you'll find something of interest. The Babcock House in Appomattox has it all: Location, great accommodations and excellent food and beverages. It's not just a place to stay, it is an experience and one I enjoy year after year. Treat yourself.
We spent a night here as we toured Appomattox Battleground and surrender site. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Babcock House. The menus were all different, the wine selection included some nice VA selections and cocktails were creative. Our room was the Bradley Suite and it was spacious.
We had a wonderful stay at the Babcock House for our family union. The accomadations were comfortable, the food was excellent & the hospitality outstanding! We would highly recommend this well run bed & breakfast for your next stay! Thank you!
