I generally try to avoid private campgrounds like this as I prefer state parks. That said, I was traveling through and the heat was unbearable. So I swallowed my pride and set up camp here for a few days so I could indulge with the air conditioning in my camper. The nice thing about KOA's is that you always know... More

I went with my husband and two young sons and stayed in a deluxe cabin. We stayed from Saturday to Tuesday. Cabin: the cabin was really clean and laid out well. It had a private bedroom with a double bed, bunk beds in the "hall," a bathroom with shower, a small table and chairs, small kitchen, tv and futon. The... More

The campground did not have wifi as advertised. They advised it has been out about a week didn't bother to let us know at check in. We obviously wouldn't have checked in along with the other two campers in line complaining about the sale thing. At a minimum they should have waived the resort fee. In campground terms the layout... Pros: pancake breakfast was delicious, bathrooms are clean, store has everything you need, close proximity to white water rafting places. Cons: lots of RVs (luckily they are mostly contained in two different areas). Pretty commercialized...would have preferred less "stuff" and more nature! Tip: if you like flavored creamer, get your coffee in the store instead of the "coffee shop". Also,... More

Partner and I decided to stay at the KOA at Harper's Ferry as we wanted to checkcheck out Harpers ferry National Park and we also like that area. we got a two room deluxe cabin that allowed us to take the dogs. Ok.... The pluses: The cabin was extremely clean and was all pinewood with a great comfortable bed and... More

Currently staying here. Had to move sites for a 33 ft travel trailer because original site had me leveling one side of the trailer more than 4 inches. They were nice enough to move me for the two days to a better yet still small site. Annoying part other then the rundown look of the park is the staff. Called... More

We had a very nice visit but we visited during the week so we had plenty of room and the staff was attentive. However, I could see if you were there on a busy weekend your experience might be much different. The sites are very close together and a lot of the tent sites have terrible uneven surfaces. The bathrooms... More

Plenty of activities if it just hadn't been so hot and humid! This was our 2nd visit here & we would definitely come back, maybe a fall visit next time. Everyone is friendly and the pancakes are always a hit with the kids!

We have visited 4 or 5 times over the last 5 years. We always take our kids and always enjoyed staying in the Cabins. This year we took our grandson. We enjoyed the same fan. Putt-putt golf, the pool and arcades. The location is within 1 mile of the town of Harper's Ferry and the Adventure Park.

Harper's Ferry KOA is one of my favorite campgrounds and one of my all time favorite places to visit. We come here for Mother's Day weekend every year. There are so many activities for the kids and we were surprised to find the pool opened in early May! After coming here for so many years, we have learned the lay... More
