Yes, this time I'm going to be "that guy" that writes a bad review in the midst of many good ones about this place. Hopefully this can help someone. There are so many nice things here (nice staff, big pool, lots of things for the kids) but site leveling is such an elementary thing that I have to downgrade for... More

Had a great time with my family. Place was pretty clean, bathrooms were being kept a couple times a day from what I could tell. Lots of things for kids to do, we had a lot of kids in my group so that was nice. It wasn't loud at night, slept fine. Only downside is that my grandparents were both... More

I booked a tent site using an online 20th anniversary $20 offer. On arrival (at dusk) I was charged a mysterious additional $10(!!) 'resort' tax, then assigned a bare hillside gravel space with nothing. The entire tent section is on a slant, not a single level site- unless you upgrade to a deluxe spot. This by a listless teenager who... More

We have a 28 ft. Class A RV, with a slide out. They put us in one of the smallest sites on their map. Had to negotiate two trees, one on each side. "Road" to get to the site was very narrow and very close to long RVs situated very close to the "road." We ended up burning one of... More

Nice facility and the staff was nice and courteous getting us a semi- private camping spot. Kids loved the bounce house , pool, dance party , movie theater on site and the FREE PANCAKES. Having WiFi allowed us all to relax while I could check-in on work emails. The bathroom/shower facilitates were clean. RiverRider Adventure is almost next door, where... More

Ok.. So this is going to be a mixed review. There are several nice things about this campground and several not so nice. First, we stayed there a weekend in July. We came in on a Friday and it was super full as expected. There were no problems getting into the park and easy check in. There seem to be... More

We came here with our kayaks so that we could take a daytrip down the Shenandoah River. No problem checking in, staff and store is great! We headed to our site which was very close to the store, showers and bathrooms. We couldn't park our car down the steep incline but our truck did get down in there so we... More

Very nice clean campground. Swimming, wine tasting, game room, activities, was very nice. Everyone that works there were great!! Very close to all the attractions in the area, Harpers Ferry, Shepherdstown, Charles Town & the casino, Frederick MD & more. The scenery is fantastic.

We camped on am uneven pile of rubble. Even with a 13 foot trailer there was no room on the site for our car or awning. Our fire ring was 1.5 feet away from our neighbor's tent--no way to have a fire without setting our neighbors aflame. Due to the rubble, we could not put the camper in proximity of... More

Okay so here is the real story. We are RV campers from the Washington DC area and we are use to paying a premium. The cost did not seem too high but I understand it may be more than your average KOA. The facilities are nice, clean and maintained well. There is even the advantage of a nice big tent... More
