The room and the house were very comfortable, and clean. The decor was colorful and included many items of international art and fabrics. Good coffee in the morning! The proprietors gave helpful information about the surrounding area in Harper's Ferry and Charlestown. They also us told us about great eateries in nearby town of Frederick. I would definitely go back...

Perfect stay for our anniversary weekend. We had the whole bottom floor to ourselves, larger than our own apartment. You look out at the tree tops because the house is perched on a cliff. We took hikes, walked to town and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Peggy and Jay live in the B&B which is Harper's Ferry style and...

The reason why I'm giving this such a low review is because I felt like this was advertised very dishonestly. This isn't a B&B. We stayed in their basement, aka the "Forrest Room". Their basement is nice, but it's their basement. There was no private entrance and we could hear everything upstairs (including their dog on the hardwood floors above...

This is a gorgeous house on the end of a quiet street in Harpers Ferry. Staying here felt more like staying in someone's private home than in a bed and breakfast per se. Very tranquil and a nice way to begin or end time in this lovely town. Thanks very much.

Peggy and Jay are fantastic proprietors. Peggy went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and we had such wonderful conversations with both Peggy and Jay. As for the accommodations, the Forest Suite proved to be the perfect amount of privacy for a much-needed romantic weekend getaway (it includes approximately 5 different spaces: the bedroom and bathroom, a...

We really enjoyed our weekend get away! Met with our Shaklee group there. This place is great, the decor is sublime and the back porch and the sauna a real plus. A reduced rate$ gave us a chance to save a few bucks:) and the continental breakfast was all we needed. So peaceful to sit on the back porch and...

Really loved our stay here. The Forest Suite was huge (bedroom, bathroom, rec-room with pool table, sauna, and utility/kitchen space) and very inviting. The whole space has a fun and funky vibe, and the the porch with two hammocks facing the forest were just perfect for lounging. The location is extremely close to downtown Harper's Ferry, and Peggy was a...

My wife and I were training for a long-distance bicycle ride and spent the night in Harper's Ferry after a practice ride on the C&O Canal. West Ridge Hollow B&B was a great spot to stay at -- welcoming, beautifully decorated, relaxing, low key. Peggy made us feel at home while still maintaining the professional separation of a B&B within...

For our 40th wedding anniversary my wife wanted a short trip to Harpers Ferry. After reading the reviews we booked the Forest Room at West Ridge Hollow. I have to say that all the reviews I read are pretty much spot on. I think the very few less than excellent reviews were more about expectations. Our room was spotless, spacious,...
