We stayed overnight only as part of a longer road trip and really enjoyed the ambiance of this beautifully decorated, 1870s era home. Bryan and Debbie recently moved to an Airbnb model and we were the only guests in the home. We had full use of the kitchen, parlor, and dining room, and, of course, our suite. The suites were amazing and consisted of a spacious bedroom, sun porch, and bathroom, all nicely decorated. Debbie promptly replied to any questions we had. We drove to the historic sites and it's a very fast drive. We found it very quiet, too. We would definitely stay there again.
We stayed at Debbie’s and Brian’s B&B in 2000 for ten nights. A guided fishing opportunity (with Brian) was a deciding factor back then. Our college age son was an avid fisherman. Not only the boy enjoyed the experience, the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings and learning more techniques of the art, but Brian’s company. It was all while the B&B became our home away home. Cozy, beautiful, full of history, a piano and a library on the main level for guests to use. Debbie was such a gracious hostess, knowledgeable of history, prompt to respond to any need. Her breakfasts in a lovely and beautifully appointed dining room are a treat. Twenty years later we do not look for alternatives in Harper’s Ferry. We just call Debbie. Now, it is with our grown son, his family and two grandchildren. Our grandson also loves fishing. Over the years, the home was becoming even more beautiful with every piece of furnishing carrying Debbie's unmistakable sense of historical place and time and touch of her taste. While restored to their full former glory and well-maintained, the guest rooms offer all the modern conveniences. Last summer we were cautious, but confident in the owners’s high level of personal responsibility and understanding of the heightened by the pandemic care needs of visitors. The home - and the six of us occupied the entire second floor of the spacious home for two nights - was immaculate. Debbie thought through every aspect of cleaning one would want and expect at these unprecedented times. In the end, we were relaxed and enjoyed every minute of our stay, a big part of which was our interaction with the hosts and the entire atmosphere in their home. As an added bonus, you may meet interesting people during breakfast time. My advice - reserve your stay. You will enjoy it.…
Excellent place with class and a touch of history. If you’re lucky enough to get a place in this 3-4 room house then you’ll be well looked after and pleased. Good parking, nice rooms, excellent WiFi, elegant breakfast and a relaxing sitting room and porch. Also, well positioned for a 10 minute walk down the hill to the rivers. Hostess was charming and attentive, so all in all an easy “excellent” rating.
The Angler's Inn B&B was amazing. I stayed in the Washington Room and the room was clean, comfy and quiet. The room was beautiful, it was full of dark antique furniture and elephants. The bed was soft and firm. The B&B is about a mile from the Harper's Ferry train station. The inn's owners were kind and welcoming. And the breakfasts were amazing. When I travel back to Harper's Ferry I would love to stay here again.
We spent a weekend at the Anglers Inn. Debbie is a fantastic host and great host. The room was very nice, the breakfast were amazing and the inn is a really interesting piece of history! Great place to spend some time.
We had a great stay at the Angler’s Inn this weekend. The owner could not have been more welcoming and our accommodations were lovely. We were within walking distance or an extremely short ride of everything we wanted to do. Breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely be back!
We stayed in this inn for Labor Day weekend, the room was very comfortable and roomy. The breakfast was very very good, Debbie is extremely professional and makes your stay very enjoyable. The Inn is located in town and close to the downtown area . Harpers Ferry is a very old town, the buildings are beautiful it makes you feel you are in England . Lots to do and for dinner you need to go to Shepherdstown, great restaurants
We had a lovely stay at the Angler’s Inn. Debbie is a wonderful host and a great cook. Our breakfast was outstanding both mornings of our stay! The house is clean, beautiful, and charming. It’s just a few minute drive or walk from the National Park and several restaurants. We highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed in the McKenzie Room, which is the only downstairs room off of the dining room. It has a private sitting room and outdoor sitting area. Bed was very comfortable. Both breakfasts were delicious. We love the hospitality of Debbie and Tonya. This Inn is in the Upper Town, which is convenient to a few good restaurants. The Lower Town can be quite a down then upper hike, so we parked after the first day of walking at the train station. Very nice and highly recommend. We met some very nice people and shared good times with them. No television in the room, so make friends!
My husband and I had a lovely visit here in the Washington Suite. Immaculately clean, comfortable, and a delicious breakfast! We really appreciated the extra sitting room as well. We took advantage of the proximity to the AT Center and got great advice on hiking in the area. Highly recommend the Maryland Heights Overlook Trail. Thank you so much! We would absolutely stay here again.
