We loved our time at the Jackson Rose b&b! For our anniversary we said in Lovettsville for two nights, and then made our way over to Harpers Ferry for one night. The property owners were so lovely and welcoming. We loved the room, it was more spacious than expected and was very cozy. We had a good time in Harpers Ferry, we went to the Harpers Ferry Brewery -- we ubered there but got a little stuck and had to take a taxi back (WARNING: The taxis only take cash!). We got some great photos at the bewery and spent a lot of time just relaxing there. The weather was still nice enough to be outside, but I'm sure when it's sunny out that must be a beautiful spot! We got dinner at the Rabbit Hole, which was more casual than the menu prices suggested... It was good enough, and we walked back to the b&b from there, which was a pleasant walk that took less than 20 minutes.

I just spent the weekend exploring Harpers Ferry with my niece who drove down from Fairfax VA. Staying at the Jackson Rose B & B was incredible!! It was exactly what I envisioned the perfect bed and breakfast to be!! Phil and Deb were very gracious and accomodating with their knowledge and suggestions for exploring the area, their delicious breakfasts and little things like the fresh lemonade and cookies left out in the afternoon! They even packed me a breakfast to take with me when they found out I had to leave early in the morning! The house itself is beautiful and historic and I loved staying in the same room that General Stonewall Jackson stayed in!! I can't say enough great things about this place and these wonderful hosts!!! Thank you for making my weekend such a pleasurable!!!

What a GREAT B&B for a getaway to Harpers Ferry. We stayed there with another couple. Barb and Phillip are wonderful hosts and made us feel right at at home. The rooms are spacious, well appointed with period furniture and furnishings, and immaculate. Barb’s suggestions of local sites were very helpful . Breakfasts were fabulous. We have stayed at our share of B&B’ and Jackson Rose is on our top 5 list.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We felt quite pampered. We stayed in the Linden room which was clean and comfortable. Our hosts were gracious, friendly and extremely helpful. This was our first visit to the area and their suggestions of places to eat, when to visit which attractions and fun things to try were all spot on. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and plentiful, as were the freshly baked cookies with fresh lemonade waiting for guests at the end of the day. The B&B is located within easy driving distance of the historic section of Harpers Ferry and Bolivar Heights. The distance to Harpers Ferry is walkable but a bit strenuous for those who are not frequent walkers, note also that the sidewalks are very uneven in several places on the way.

This is a gorgeous B&B. We were greeted upon arrival with the offer of beer or wine after our long drive. The hosts were most friendly and helpful; an absolute delight. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We felt safe walking the area to see the historic sights. Our breakfast for the two mornings were fresh and delicious! The Jackson Rose will not disappoint!!

Staying at the Jackson Rose was one of the highlights of our trip to Harpers Ferry! The house’s history is fascinating, it is clean and comfortable while maintaining an antique look, and the breakfast is on par with going out to a restaurant. Deb and Phil were so friendly as well as professional and gave excellent recommendations for activities and places to eat and drink in the area.
