Detailed Reviews
I have been to this inn under two owners. Mike and Becky have had the in. For five years now and have worked hard to make it a pleasing and relaxing respite from daily life. You can stay in more modern rooms with jacuzzis or in the main house, which is my favorite because I like old buildings. The rooms feel fresh and the breakfasts are delicious and substantial. Savory scones one day. Pumpkin bread the next with fruit and then a main dish (crustless quiche one day, pancakes with pecan butter and real maple syrup the next. There’s a baked treat each day and soft drinks and coffee or tea always available. The owners make sure you know how everything works and then leave you to enjoy yourselves. But little touches let you know they care and pay attention. This time I had a cold and they replaced a nearly empty tissue box with a full one while I was out. We always go in the winter, which is snowy and lovely, and enjoyed the sauna this time.

Our stay at Pinehurst Inn was a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. The inn keepers were extremely nice and generous. The rooms are very clean and have everything to accommodate your needs. You could tell they went and did their research on everything, from towels and bath robes to the bed sheets. Everything was very nice and comfortable. The inn keepers were very helpful on questions of the area too (being our first time in Bayfield). And last but definitely not least, the food. It was phenomenal! We had fresh treats made every day and the three course breakfast was amazing each morning. If you’re looking for a nice, quiet, and a relaxing place to stay while visiting Bayfield, 10/10 would recommend Pinehurst Inn!

We stayed in Pinehurst Inn many years ago before the current owners purchased the inn. The new owners have done an amazing job of keeping the charm of a B & B while updating the property. There is a carriage house with 3 rooms behind the main building which is where we stayed. Becky and Mike were very accommodating with any requests we had. We were able to choose our time for breakfast, which was big enough for even the heartiest of appetites. They were very COVID aware, with had hand sanitizers throughout the property and socially distanced table placement when dining. Our room was very clean and had wonderful bedding. There were also robes for us to use. We highly recommend staying with Becky and Mike!

We stayed at The Pinehurst Inn for two nights while in Bayfield. We have only occasionally stayed in bed and breakfasts so weren’t exactly sure what to expect. We had a wonderful stay! This is a beautifully maintained bed and breakfast in a lovely old home built in the late 1800’s by a lumber baron with a much newer second garden home built in a similar style on the property. Lovely gardens and landscaping. It is owned by gracious and friendly innkeepers Becky and Mike. Becky makes the most delicious breakfasts and afternoon treats, and Mike showed us to our room, helped with our luggage, explained the features of our room, answered any questions we had and started our days serving Becky’s delicious breakfasts. We felt very much at home (except with much better food)! Quiet and comfortable, highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Bayfield area.

This was the second time we've chosen the Pinehurst Inn to celebrate our wedding anniversary and, once again, we were very happy we did (check out our previous review from 6/6/19). Our three-night stay this time in the spacious Brownstone Room in the Garden House was everything we had hoped it would be with its very comfortable furnishings and quiet location (we loved sitting in our room and out on our balcony listening to the birds singing in the woods around us). We think Becky and Mike are excellent innkeepers, as evidenced by their special attention to details and to their guests' overall comfort, including preparing and serving delicious 3-course gourmet breakfasts each morning, providing freshly-baked goodies each afternoon, and making a refrigerator available for guests' beverages (and stocked with complimentary soft drinks and sparkling water), along with glass and dishware for guests' use. In all respects, Becky and Mike work very hard to provide their guests with exceptional hospitality and they do a wonderful job of it!! We highly recommend the Pinehurst Inn!

This was the first time we stayed at Pinehurst and it was absolutely wonderful! We’ve stayed at B&B’s before and this was a top notch stay: beautiful old historic home, super friendly helpful inn keepers that go above and beyond with their service, spotless room, eco-friendly amenities, very delicious food, comfy bed and special desserts each night. Pinehurst was only 10 minutes away from where we needed to meet for our Ice Cave Tour. If you’re looking for another winter activity to do in the area, you have to take the ferry through the ice and then hike around Big Bay State Park to see the beautiful ice formations along the shore. It’s stunning! Overall, our stay at Pinehurst was a perfect relaxing place to stay and we don’t have any negative comments to share about this place. We will definitely go back and recommend them to our friends without any hesitation.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at Pinehurst Inn and enjoyed every minute of it. From the prompt greetings each morning to the AMAZING breakfasts to the meticulously clean rooms...we can’t say enough. Our room was Whispering Pines in the guest house, and even though we knew there were other guests in and out all week, we felt undisturbed. The property is beautiful with blooming gardens and it’s so close to town. Very peaceful. Mike & Becky were great hosts. We would stay here again!

The attention to detail that Mike and Becky provide for every point of your visit is second to none. The quality of products used, not only from the amazing sheets and towels, but each ingredient of the food will make you want to extend your stay. If you want to be treated to a getaway you deserve make sure you book Pinehurst for your bed and breakfast stay.

My husband and I stayed at Pinehurst Inn for our first anniversary, and everything about this place was amazing.
My absolute favorite part was the food. The three breakfasts I had at Pinehurst Inn were probably 3 of my favorite breakfasts of all time. EVERY single dish (you get 3 with each breakfast) that Becky made was perfection and far surpassed our expectations. It was infinitely better than a restaurant. In fact I liked the food so much that since I returned about a week ago I have already attempted 2 recipes from their website!
The Inn itself was also wonderfully cozy, clean, and the bed in the room was exceptionally comfortable. The location was perfect for us because if we wanted to go to Downtown Bayfield it was only ~5 minutes away, but it was far more peaceful than actually staying downtown.
We were a little nervous about traveling during the pandemic, but both of the owners were always wearing a mask and gloves, all of the guests were wearing masks in the house, and during breakfast we were always very well spaced out. It felt very safe! Mike and Becky were also the most gracious of hosts. We will definitely be staying again!

My back ground; attended international BnB conference, ran one for year, stayed at many in wide variety locations. Pinehurst excels in all the details above the rest. Yes, fabulous food done with quality ingredients, served at correct temp, delicious and beautifully presented. Afternoon baked goods were especially appreciated as there are no others to be found in Bayfield in the winter. Perfect for return from dog sledding especially with a nicely set up option for hot drinks.
Easy to locate, quiet, Room has ample lighting, ample electric outlets, robes, light access from the bed, bath salts, lotion and kleenex (its Wisconsin, its cold, noses run, such a simple thing that adds to user-friendly. Appreciate Mike going over the details on how jet tub, fireplace, etc work and having the back up of printed instructions.
Super important! There are many places to hang clothing, place luggage, sit with a book or computer without having to move piles of decorative elements, What's there is beautiful and useful and nothing just for looks.
And they do all this while walking the talk of environmental stewardship far beyond having a container for recycling somewhere on the property; stainless water bottles provided for use, researched linens and products, and an information page.
Only hard part...waiting till I can return!

Thank you for your inquiry. Pets are not allowed.
I'm not sure which side of the house that room is on, but the inn sits back from the road several hundred feet. The only problem I had with noise, was the man in the room next to ours. He was snoring quite loudly. Have a great trip.
