The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room itself was very basic and not conducive for working. The bathroom in the room I stayed in was very narrow and would not be comfortable for a larger person. The desk chair was a stool with slatted surface, so it was uncomfortable

I was travelling solicited and spending two nights in San Fran as part of a broader trip. The hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating however the hotel itself did not live up to expectations.- My non-smoking room smelt really bad. Although it did not smell of

Greetings Jet23726200690, Thank you for taking the time to provide Good Hotel with a review of your stay. While we're happy you found out team friendly and accommodating, we're very sorry to hear about your room experience. Our goal is to ensure our guests have a relaxing and comfortable stay while with us. We hope that you reported the phone and smell you experienced in your room as we would be more than happy to find an alternative room for you. As you mention more than 100-year old property has central heating. During the winter we turn on the heat just before sun-down to ensure our guest have a warm room throughout the cold nights. Though the certificate displayed shows it is expired, please rest assured that we are in compliance with state law and regulations. We are patiently awaiting the state to send an inspector, though their service is delayed. In the meantime, we perform monthly inspections with a local elevator company to ensure our elevators are safe. Warm Regards, Charles Worley Front Office Manager

Time for the Good Hotel to call an exterminator. I woke up this morning covered with bites that turned into welts as the day went on. Pulling back the sheets revealed the bodies of all of the little black bugs I had crushed during the night and others that were still alive. No

It turns out some of the rooms don't have working heaters. They know this and yet don't seem to fix them or see it as a problem. Their solution was to bring me extra blankets (only after I called at 3am begging for help)

Hello Johanna B, Our neighborhood is rapidly changing. Formerly, this area was largely industrial area with inexpensive housing, small businesses and empty warehouses. Now Twitter, Dolby, the Alonso King Ballet School are breathing new life and foot traffic into the neighborhood. Like anywhere in the SF there are homeless people on the street and sadly public drug use is on the rise. We are committed to working with SFPD and other city services to ensure that our guests have a safe visit and that our property is secure. The Good Hotel team is proud of our diverse neighborhood and are happy answer any questions our guests have about visiting San Francisco.
