We traveled to San Francisco from Oklahoma to get married. We stayed 6 nights and it was great. Our door was a little weird and didn't properly shut sometimes. It wasn't a huge deal to us, but I can see it being an issue for someone else. Perfect location to walk places...there's a sandwich place right next door that was... More

I want to like the Vertigo Hotel. It's quaint. It's charming. It's off the beaten path. And its staircase has a Hitchcock movie connection. It is one of many renovated small hotels in San Francisco. I like boutique hotels. While it's several blocks from Union Square, I easily walked it. It’s a bit closer to the Tenderloin and I suppose... More

We booked Hotel Vertigo after struggling to find anywhere decent and affordable to stay in San Fran. The room was well appointed and bigger than we expected. We walked everywhere and found lots of great places to eat and convenience stores in the neighbourhood. Staff were pleasant and attentive.

We found the Hotel Vertigo to be very well located and comfortable. It has a nice retro feeling to it which makes for a whole experience. Our room was very clean and quite except for the first night. Seems like either the walls were thin or our neighbors too noisy as we could hear them having sex. Other than that... More

This 3 star hotel is situated within walking distance of Union Square, several bars and cafes nearby too. At present there are no catering facilities, but these are presently being created - not yet completed. The rooms are tastefully appointed with crisp linen covered comfortable beds. The hotel is kept clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful and... More

I recently stayed at this hotel for business purposes and thought it looked like a great hotel for the price. I have mixed reviews of the hotel. The Good: o The hotel had a really cool Hitchcock theme throughout the lobby and rooms. o The pillows were super comfy. o The room was a decent size for San Francisco. o... More

The hotel itself is not that impressive at all. The elevator scared me by how rickety it was. The valet seemed really shady and the front desk service left MUCH to be desired. The bathroom was a joke. It was the smallest, oldest, grossest bathroom I think I have ever been in. The front desk called us 3 times as... More

The hotel retains a lot of features from Hitchcock's day with fairly small room sizes and old fashioned fittings. Decor references the film via film logos on the mirror rather than anything more subtle. There was quite a lot of noise transfer between conncting rooms but

I recently stayed at the Hotel Vertigo for business as I was attending a conference at the Moscone Center. While the hotel was a little off the beaten path and decent walk to Moscone, it was an enjoyable place to stay. I was quite impressed with the rooms, which had everything you would need to spend the night and conduct... More

If you don't mind a walk this hotel is located close enough to Union Square to please most travelers. The bed was average, we requested extra pillows which helped our comfort level. It's an older hotel, a little quirky with its Vertigo movie theme, the staff are very friendly and helpful. But clean and well presented. For the price we... More
