I came right as Covid was hitting and the staff couldn’t have been more kind or caring. I was upgraded to a beautiful corner suite, I could have stayed there all day it was so comfortable (especially the bathroom and the giant tub). Most restaurants had closed so I had dinner one night in the lobby, my meal was divine. Excellent fitness center and a beautiful spa. I really have nothing bad to stay, it was excellent!

Beautiful hotel in downtown SF close to the conference center. The hotel has very limited amenities as space is a premium in SF but the rooms are very nice and clean. Early check in is impossible here so I would not count on it. Would stay again!

I stay at a Marriott around 100 nights a year, including quite a few W’s. This one is definitely not a favorite, especially for a brand supposed to be “luxury.” 1. No elite lounge, no free coffee, and the breakfast is bad—they have a full breakfast menu, but offer Bonvoy members a few crappy options like Oatmeal. 2. Ridiculous fees—I was charged 5.00 “package handling fee” to receive a credit sent to the hotel. 3. Rooms are small with a cheap Ikea feel more in line with a low grade Aloft than W. 4. Unimpressive bar and restaurant. 5. Long wait for the elevators. 6. Good gym, and the location is very convenient. There are a lot of great Marriott’s in this area—Marquis and Union Square are great alternatives. Avoid the W.

Came for a party and it was fabulous. Wonderful job by the hotel staff. Food was delicious. Well done making the party feel special and unique. The bartenders were attentive, the room was pretty, and for a night the party raged.
