The hotel is conveniently located in the SOMA, right next to MOMA, and across from the Moscone Centre. It is just around 15 minutes from SFO by car. The hotel design is modern and trendy. While the lobby is a bit dark, the room is well lit and the room on gigh floor command good views over the Bay or the Yubena Park. The service is also good. The breakfast at the Trace fine and cook to order but unfortunately, the restaurant is closed in the evening.

We had a fantastic experience at this modern hotel. The music was upbeat, and the location offered a spectacular view. However, the most critical aspect was the friendly staff. Our family drove a long way from Los Angeles, and this hotel was close to everything. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and opened the door for us. The front desk clerk was very helpful and addressed all our concerns, even calling to clarify the valet situation. They also noticed from my Marriott profile that I prefer high floors, and they assigned us a beautiful floor with an incredible view. The housekeeping staff kept our room clean and gave us new towels, as well as extra Nespresso coffee cups. At the end of our stay, I had to tell the front desk clerk to adjust my bill due to internet and valet charges. Go elsewhere. They charged me for the mini bar that wasn’t even used and I still haven’t been refunded and it’s been weeks. I paid for Valet as well (80$) and picked my car up from the street and it was unlocked. Ordered room service for breakfast and it took an hour and fifteen minutes, cold, and no communication about the food being that late. Horrible experience. Many hotels nearby. Go elsewhere!!!!!! Hotel management hasn’t even reached out to discuss.

Reserves the Fantastic suite at the W Hotel in San Francisco which we've done many times. Arrived at 3 pm when check-in is supposed to occur. Our suite was not ready, forced to wait in a crowded lobby for 3 hours, hearing excuse after excuse why they couldn't get the suite cleanen and turned around. Had we not reserves a large suite and instead had a Standard room, no problem Apparently the more more money you spend at the W, the more horrendous the service. Skip the W, they just don't know how to treat guests.

Yes things happen when we least expect it. We were traveling San Diego to San Francisco when a member of our party had COVID suddenly. All plans were cancelled. After 6 pm the night before our travel. I called the hotel and Lotus gave me piece of mind with her kind voice. My one night was canceled no problem. I will be back

I really enjoyed my stay at W San Francisco. The rooms are spacious with all of the amenities needed to get you through the stay. As a tourist I didn’t mind paying the destination fee as I was able to use the inclusions. The lobby bar has a great vibe and was a nice way to unwind after a day of site seeing. My only concern is that the rooms are not at all soundproof. You can hear if your neighbors are talking and showering. All in all a pleasant stay and I would consider the hotel again if I was visiting the area

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at the W and it was fabulous! I read reviews before going about the staff being rude and not helpful but I did not see this in any way. Everyone we encountered was so helpful and always pleasant. Janny was so helpful when we checked in. She went out of her way and explained things to do in the neighborhood and was very pleasant to deal with. The Manager, Mandeep made our stay amazing. He was helping out in the bar, at breakfast as well as managing the employees. He went out of his way every day to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The rooms were very comfortable and the blackout curtains helped us sleep like babies! The food was delicious at the Trace restaurant. The only negative was that the W does not have a pool or spa which is ok because you can go to any nearby hotel and get a massage if needed. I loved the W and would definitely stay again!…

Excellent business hotel . Great location just south of market . Good sized rooms for SF. Friendly staff . Slightly irritating ‘resort fee’ - it’s not a resort!! That seems increasingly common with hotels though. Decent 24 hour gym. Pretty good restaurant

Rooms are confortable and clean. Fluffy pillows, complimentary coffee. Be aware of the $35 USD destination fee per room per night which is a must. Destination fee was annoying at first but We used the related Money to have breakfast at The Terrace which was yummy, specially the avocado toast. You can also get 2 cable round tickets per night stay + 2 tickets for Academy of technology + 2 for SOMA museum. Hotel staff is nice and friendly. Great location with cafeterias and Target near by.

The hotel is amazing and staff was ready to help. The manager Quentin went above and beyond to help us. He seen we had had kids and asked if we needed extra towels and pillows which was a great help. He also checked in with us any time he seen us and made sure we were comfortable. He gave great advise on things to do in the city. He made us feel like we were family.
