Its a good hotel in the center of the city, particularly a conference at Moscone. its right there! As with any city hotel, rooms are smaller. But good service, comfortable bet. They have a nice restaurant and a good bar! Yes, there was some 'stink' in the bathroom, not unbearable though..

My stay at the W San Francisco was consistent with all my W experiences - fantastic! Adrianna at the front desk ensured a seamless early check-in and was highly resourceful throughout my stay. Rooms are modern and clean, and I particularly loved their fitness centre (visit before sunrise the mood lighting looks amazing). The location is also highly appealing, close to the SFMoMA and removed from downtown a bit - this made travelling at night feel a lot safer. If I return to San Francisco I will certainly be staying here again!

The much needed renovation of the rooms at the W yielded a modern design and welcome refresh. I still applaud this hotel as the only hotel I know in Sf with competent soundproofing from outside street noise. As to the new room there are plenty of connectors where you can plug in (USB as well), there is a safe, fridge, desk area and large day bed type bench in the window. The bathroom is just a shower (no tub) and a modern sink area. I find the beds very comfortable. I do have some criticisms of the overall experience. I will list what I view as shortcomings. 1. Service is sluggish this includes check in, valet and the bar area. 2. The lobby is tired. The old once popular bar shows its age. 3. The food service is average. 4. The bar hours are limited. 5. Parking is wildly expensive and a affront. I cannot blame the hotel but the homeless invasion in the area does not help the guests experience. Overall, I like the hotel and applaud the big step forward.

Stayed here for 6 nights, and definitely not impressed. Compared to many other W Hotels in the rest of the world, W SF was more like a 3-star budget hotel. There were 2 of us, but every day they only replaced 1 bottled water. Even bathrobes, the replacement was only for 1. We had to asked for drinking glasses which will always be removed after room cleaning, and it was a pain to call to request day after day. Once I requested for a bowl and spoon so I can have my cereal in the room, they sent me a paper bowl and disposable spoon instead. Not a classy hotel at all, but ok if it is just for a no-frills business trip.

This hotel's vibe was super cool. It's not your typical generic hotel. The colors and the room design were pretty unique. At the time of our stay, the price was fairly reasonable. I would definitely say that the city view option was worth the extra cost. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was very roomy. The customer service was good. The only compliment I would have is when I went to check-in, they almost wouldn't let me. While my boyfriend went to return the rental car I was going the check into the hotel. When I booked the room I put it under my boyfriend's name however everything else including the payment info and email address was under mine. Because it wasn't my name on the reservation they weren't going to let me check-in. That would have been a major inconvenience being that I would have had to wait an hour for him to be there to check-in. However, I was able to verify the confirmation email and other stuff to check-in.

I've been flying into to San francisco to attend shows at Moscone for decades. Then I lucked out. THIS IS IT. I could see North and South from my gorgeous window wall seat. Well designed, neutral soft and comfy room. Tons of plugs in smart places, usb chargers, and touch-dim light fixtures. Shout out to Adriana Lara at the front desk for helping me print out documents. Comfy beds, good water pressure and locks on the door. And a hopping bar with cool lighting and fun drinks.

Myself and my business partner came in and were offered upgrades for free. Thinking we will great great rooms we said yes and received two rooms at the top floor. After two days of extreme noise I called the front desk and explained the noise and the person on duty 'Oh yes its the elevator noise"... I said "what ... you know there is noise ... you tell me that you are upgrading me and you are putting me in a room with noise - knowingly???" After not sleeping for two nights in both rooms... being put in rooms with noise - when management and staff knowingly did this ... (and keep doing this to more unsuspected customers)... the management did not even want to compensate us (only offered us some marriot points and breakfast) for not sleeping two nights... and knowingly putting us through this ordeal I usually do not write reviews (bad reviews) but I do not want other people to fall in the trap of paying exorbitant room charges and not sleeping because of noise in rooms that management keeps on selling and putting unsuspected guests in.

The computers in the business center are broken and non-functional. The hotel staff were unable to help me print my boarding pass. They couldn’t figure it out and we’re unwilling to allow me to use one of their computers to do so. Surprising dysfunction for a hip mod hotel that hosts business events. Otherwise it was nice. The rooms are nicely appointed and quiet. Housekeeping was very good. Restaurant Trace serves a delicious breakfast and the bar scene looks fun.

I am writing about our most recent Thursday May 12th stay. Simply stated it was all around great. The car valets awesome. The younger woman at the registration desk, I am embarrassed I have forgotten her name, is a fabulous first representative for the hotel. We had dinner reservations elsewhere but decided to eat at the bar and really enjoyed the service we received from Clay, Jeremy, and William. Bar professionals all around. We were very pleased with the quality of the food served at the bar. I understand the W has a new executive Chef, what an excellent experience the staff delivered! We really like the higher floor well appointed corner room. The room was clean and inviting. We look forward to our next visit. Per our experience, The W is right there with the best of anything the City has to offer.

We loved everything about this hotel. It's modern and upbeat with great staff. We were upgraded to a Studio Suite corner king room and it was fabulous. Very spacious, clean and probably the most well thought out hotel room I've ever stayed in. The available space for luggage/setting out toiletries/makeup and getting comfy was so nice! The bathroom was huge and bright, a nice change from the dim mood lit bathroom trend happening in hotels. We stayed two nights and hated to leave. It's now going to be our go-to San Francisco hotel. Definitely recommend!
