My family and I have been staying at Vintage Court for years. When I was asked to make arrangements for a group of friends traveling to San Francisco for a museum weekend, I contacted the staff at Vintage Court. As always, everyone was pleased with our experience there. The location (Union Square Area) is excellent. We parked the cars and...

My husband was here on business and I came along for the ride. We stayed two nights and thought that the location on Bush Street was ideal to Union Square and the Moscone Center where he had business. Central to great restaurants and cable car. Room was nice although we were on the front side of the hotel which faces...

My husband and I live 2 blocks from this wonderful hotel and send all of our visiting friends and family there. My sister and her family came for a week-long visit last week and Keith, the hotel Manager, went out of his way to make sure their stay was perfect. You can't beat the rate, the service, or the location....

As Sydneysiders from Australia, traveling for my wife's 60th Birthday,we wanted a home away from home, with a great location, friendly, helpful staff and a hotel that was not too pretentious or impersonal.,,,,,,,we got this and more at the Vintage Court San Francisco! Our theme for the holiday was "wine" and seeing this property when checking tripadvisor, it seemed to...

My experience at Hotel Vintage Court was nothing short of exceptional! I travel a lot between LA and San Fransisco for work and I know the hotels around the area very well. Hotel Vintage Court is certainly the best value. The rooms are spacious, well kept, and full of character. The house-staff is very friendly. I don't know if it...

I stayed at the Executive Vintage Court while in San Francisco for a scientific meeting. The price and the location, not to mention the description and photos on the website, are what swayed me. The hotel is located in the 600 block of Bush Street, within walking distance of Union Square, Chinatown, and downtown shopping. The Moscone Convention Center is...

My fiance and I stayed here for one night in December 2008. As soon as I arrived, I had to wait at least 20 minutes to check in. When I finally got my room, the elevator wouldn't work. Then I realized they gave me a room directly across from the elevator (I'm talking a couple feet across). I went back...

Stayed here for business for 4 nights. Was initially surprised by the hotel as it was a bit grubbier/old than I had expected. Lobby doesn't look too clean and is quite dark. Very smooth check-in and the staff are very helpful and warm. Room was quite small but totally acceptable. View to the side of the building is not good....

I stayed here on business for a week. It has a great location a couple of blocks uphill from Union Square and very close to Chinatown. The room was clean and individual - the a/c was rather archaic and the lack of double-glazing was noticed at 4:30am every morning when the world's noisest garbage collectors turned up. Breakfast wasn't great...

Good location near chinatown. About 45 min brisk walk to fishermans wharf, we didn't use any public transport but I heard from others it's very efficient. We spent 3 nights in Vintage court and it was very clean and comfortable. Rooms on the the small side but it is a town hotel with a lot of character. Beds very comfy...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
