From check in to check out, I could not fault either the hotel or staff.
I would like to thank Raymond and his fantastic team for helping to make our stay in SF such a great experience, the level of service was excellent.
The hotel itself is in a quiet location, and yes you can hear some traffic noise, but it is very minimal. The rooms are excellent value for money, very very clean and comfortable. Parking was readily available, with spaces free every day we were there.
When we return to SF, we would not look to stay anywhere else.

We stayed 2 nights in early March 2020 and found it very conveniently located. The young lady at the front desk, Angelina, was so helpful in advising us how to get around the city and places to dine. It is an older hotel but our room was spacious and clean. The only negative is the parking. The small lot has only one entrance/exit and is fairly narrow. We were in a pickup so we had to back out of the lot when we used it--not enough room to turn around. Ended up parking in one of the 2 spots behind the office area. We enjoyed our stay in SF and would recommend this hotel.

Rooms were small but had everything we needed, very comfortable, and the location was perfect for walking to beach and through Presidio. Our dog loved being close to the park. We had no problems with parking, and only needed the street for an hour one day. Owners take good care of travelers and were very pleasant and helpful. Room fit our budget at the time.

My experience at that hotel was less than poor. I will list the issues I had during the nights I had to spend there and I apologize in advance if I am graphic with some issues but I need to call things for their name.

1. First day I showered there I found pubic hair on more than one towel. (Tuesday, February 25th)
2. Same day I found hairs on the walls of the shower.
3. The shower floor was super slippery. I slipped (didn’t fall) twice. Didn’t ask for a anti-slip mat because after seeing the poor hygiene they had, I was scared of them giving me one with mold on it.
4. The plug in the restroom didn’t work.
5. The hair dryer didn’t work.
6. The AC/Heating unit was extremely loud.
7. I woke up with a horrible migraine on Wednesday at 3:30 am and needed to take my medicine, no water in the room, so I adventured to open the fridge and Surprise!!! … I found a bag with a sandwich, another bag with food and a beer in there (needless to say that was not mine). So I called the front desk to ask for water and the lady told me to drink tap water because in San Francisco was very safe to drink from the tap. I checked the paper cups and all “sealed” cups were not sealed… the bags were opened. At that point didn’t really know if it was even safe to pour water on those cups.

I absolutely LOVED this hotel! What a nice find in the City! The propertier Raymond was exceptional and his other staff members were friendly and always helpful. Even when we returned late and their parking area was full- they found us parking around the corner — very appreciated! The rooms had a seal on the doors so you knew after they had been cleaned no one else had entered them & they were very nice and clean. I really appreciated how they had breakfast available since no one could gather in the actual room….. they gave us a list of available items and we told the staff what we wanted, which they put on a tray so we could take it all back to our room and social distance—just Brilliant! The location was fabulous - right next to the Presideo in a quiet location. We walked down to the Palace of Fine Arts which was nearby and went down to the waters edge to see spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. This hotel is even dog friendly so we saw some furry friends each day. Everything about this hotel was exceptional & made for a very pleasant stay!

We stayed at this Travel Lodge for four nights. The staff are very friendly and were happy to help enhance my visit to this great city by happily answer all my questions. The neighborhood and the traffic is busy during the day but by night, its very quiet, almost like a ghost-town. The downside is they charge $20 per night for a dog and dont provide an inch of dirt for your dog to do its business. The rooms are nice but our room with a king bed was super small. The price is reasonable so all in all we we will return next time we visit SF. Thank you Manager Ray and Nicolette who helped make out stay a pleasant stay.

The key benefit of this hotel is location - it is steps away from The Presidio which is an awesome place to explore for a run or a walk. It's also a short drive from the heart of San Fran. Downside is that the rooms are small. There is free parking but it's a small lot and the spots are really difficult to get in and out of. There is free breakfast but it's really slow to stand in line waiting for the desk host to get every item you want. The process of getting breakfast needs to be improved. We would not stay here again.

When you want to be within walking distance of the piers, Presidio, North Beach, and so much more... affordable, wonderfully comfortable beds (we've tried Queen & King-sized beds), very quiet/minimal street noise, close to a ton of great restaurants, just down the road from Washington Square and great little deli's, small pizza joints, awesome walking trails through the Presidio area, very cool historic ships and museum at the pier, and did I mention the outstanding customer service at the front desk? Great base if you're planning on any bay tours or a trip to Alcatraz. Also had a mini-fridge and a safe, and lots of drawer/closet space, perfect for a weekend in the area.

Great place to stay in San Francisco. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were the best. The location was easy to get in and out of and it was walking distance to the Presidio, which is a beautiful 1,500- acre park on a former military post. If we ever travel thru San Fran again we will defiantly stay there!

The locatiion is convenient to the Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy Field; you can walk to Fishermans' Wharf, climb the 300+ Lyon Street steps (for morning exercise), and take the #45 bus to North Beach, Chinatown and Union Square. Other busses stop there as well. The Manager also acts as a very knowledgeable concierge with recommendations for restaurants, entertainment, discous, etc. We have stayed here on trip to SF for at least 10 years, and hope to again. The breakfast is adequate as are the rooms. It is not a 5-star hotel, nor deos it have 5-star prices, but the location and staff are 5-star.

Hi the hotel is very quiet I wasn't aware of any noise. There is lots nearby shops and restaurants . There is a walgreens on the corner and a little shop next door The hotel is on the bus route and we travelled everywhere by bus . I couldn't recommend this hotel enough.
Answer from Panto186342

We stayed at the Travelodge Presidio in May - Raymond on the front desk gave us a most comprehensive map of S F and marked all the bus routes from nearby the hotel that covered most places we might want to visit over the time we were there. On the first morning we bought a 3 day bus pass from Walgreens on his recommendation - this was money well spent! Bus stops are nearby for the various routes. We also used the trolley buses, the trams and the cable cars! Be sure to visit the cable car museum! We didn't pick our hire car up until the fourth day when we left town. Hope you have a great time.
