Really liked this hotel. I was slightly put off after reading some reviews before going so I was pleased once I saw how nice it is. Yes, it could do with some decorating but I loved the style of the hotel. Only faults I can think of are the room we had was quite small and the bed was pretty... More

Pricy for what you get. We were on 5th floor and felt like the floor was tilting. Very clean, however. We ate breakfast at the restaurant. It was the best omelet I've ever had but a little Pricy for breakfast. The service was excellent at hotel and restaurant.

I was in San Francisco for a convention. Old fashion hotel. Basic service, Wi-Fi not excellent. I took a basic breakfast and paid $28 !! A bit far for downtown (25 min walking distance ). No room service evening and no good restaurant around hotel. No desk in room.

We stayed at hotel majestic for four days in august 2016. The hotel is located away from the major tourist attractions of fisherman's wharf by 20 minutes walk or a short bus ride. It is downhill - an important feature in San Francisco.. There arehowever not many bars or restaurants in the local area. The hotel is comfortable and friendly. We... More

Where do I start? There was no welcome greeting and in fact it was like no one was around when we arrived at the hotel. Receptionist was not welcoming at all. Security was watching a sport game on his phone. We had called a few weeks earlier to advise our flight was arriving early and if we could possibly check... More

First time to San Francisco and used a groupon for this hotel. It is 10 blocks down hill to Union Square. Found the walk a little scary at night. Room was old and musty smelling. Staff was friendly but facility very old. Rooms noisy especially with street noise at night. Saw someone's room service tray outside in the hall of... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and were really pleased. The room had the tallest bed ever and a sofa bed for our daughter. We were on the firestairs route, but unlike some reviews didn't have a problem with this, the other windows could be opened. We were 3rd floor and had no issue with noise. It could do with... More

In the over-priced San Francisco hotel market, this one is a real value, with amenities one would find in a much costlier hotel. Much of its charm lies in its refinement. When I requested two extra glasses, for example, I was asked what kind--whether for wine, etc. It has a restaurant, room service, lobby seating, computer desk and reading areas.... More

My title may seem more on the negative side, but I really have nothing more honest to say. The Hotel Majestic is nothing special, but a very decent place to stay in San Fransisco on a budget. I believe they realize that, so they do not set your expectations high for anything fancy. There's no door man, no fancy lobby,... More
