Beyond our greatest expectation! Joel is extraordinarily attentive and welcoming down to every personal detail. We felt completely at home and well cared for. Best sleep we have had at a hotel ever. Beds so cuddly. Location fabulous and convenient walk to dining, theater, shopping. Can’t wait to come back!!! Lining up our dates now!! Love StayPineapple SF 🍍🍍💖💖
Was in town for very quick visit for work very last minute found the pineapple on line. Great rooms great shower check in was smooth Jackson made it so easy and was helpful with places to eat nearby. Lots of local neighborhood knowledge which made a boring trip fun
I'm a bit late writing this review but our experience was that amazing that even 4 months later-I'm still thinking about what an incredible time we had. My partner and I were in San Francisco for a birthday trip and we always try to book with StayPineapple. This property is by far our favorite. The hotel is so tastefully decorated and appointed. It's gorgeous and the location is phenomenal. The pineapple shaped cookies are both adorable and delicious. The real treasures of this hotel are absolutely the staff. Joel, Jonathan and Jackson went above and beyond for us our entire trip. We still talk about how thoughtful and kind they were and how much we wish we could go back. So if you're headed to the city by the bay, make sure to book here and say hello to these gentlemen.
I didn’t stay there but went to a reception in the lobby. Beautiful welcoming lobby. We had delicious appetizers and the bar service couldn’t have been better. Love that they’re dog friendly. Would definitely visit again!
We had never heard of Staypineapple hotels, but after calling the hotel directly and speaking with Jackson at the front desk, we decided to book our room. Jackson took the time to tell me about the hotel and the best place to park. Jackson and Monica at the front desk were super helpful, friendly and just plain nice people. The hotel is nicely decorated with the pineapple theme, the rooms are very comfortable and you receive a complimentary welcome drink upon check-in. The hotel is close to the cable car and easy walking distance to plenty of sites. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in San Francisco! And now we will look for Staypineapple hotels in other cities that we will be visiting.
Nice boutique hotel in the heart of San Francisco. We found all the staff very friendly ( especially the cleaners) and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and clean. We loved the charging dock in the shape of a Pineapple! Coffee machine was great! Yes, the room was small but we were not expecting to stay in our room a lot. The TV had lots of channels including Netflix and we could mirror the phone onto the screen. We were on street side and it did get quite noisy especially from the fire engines! It didn’t worry us, we found it easy to get back to sleep in the comfy bed. Great walk in shower. This hotel was good value for money, considering it’s location…. however if you turned right (coming out of the hotel) you were more than likely to come across the homeless - they didn’t bother us but they do remind you of how lucky you are. Don’t let this put you off going to the hotel as we felt safe both locally and within the hotel at all times so it’s not an issue, merely an observation. Great bar to go to is “PeaceKeeper” on Bush Street- it can get busy after 7pm but fantastic drinks. Great food and Best Pizza we have ever had. Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in Stockton Street.…
I booked my room at this hotel in San Francisco on the booking.com portal (night 31.05/01.06). When i arrived to the hotel on 31.05 i was told, they haven't got any reservation (despite hotel confirmed on email my booking before). I was immidiately hit by the way reception (guy) treated us. Arrogant and mannered. It was like he was doing us a favor booking a room. Receptionist told us room will be cheaper than via booking. com. Only 140 USD per night. We agreed for it. After we reached the room i checked my credit card and it was 260 USD blocked. I was shocked becuase that should have been told us before, in case we haven't got enough credit line limit. Wifi - hotel declares to have very fast internet connection. This is why we chose it - to work from the room in the evening. From start to the check out wifi didn't work. I called our receptionist 6 times, he promised he corrects our password in their system - nothing happened. I had to go down to the lobby to connect. But each time my laptop was connected to the internet, it was like somebody on purpose cuts that connecton off. And guess what: the guy that was so unpleasant by the check in was then at the reception. The worst experience was just about to happen on the check out. The same receptionst said, asked for a bill/invoice for our stay (i wanted to check how much we pay for/why 260 USD blocked etc.), that he can't give us due to system failure. And that we could call IT but we would have to wait either "5 minutes or 10 hours". This is literally what he said. 1:1 quoting. With arrogant manner. We reminded him that we are guests of the hotel and that is unacceptable how he treats us. He grabbed the monitor and squizzed so in his right hand. I had an impression that he was close to hit us with his hand. At the same time his friend came to the reception and started to explain. Our arrogant one just left without the word and didn't come back. The new guy printed out the bill in 2 minutes. Again, i understand bad days. But this was way too much. You pay 200 dollars for a night in a hotel (which is like for luxury hotel in Poland) and you get no wifi and you ve been treated like s..t. Don't recommend to anyone booking of this place. They don't respect booking.com reservations. You can come and land on the street at night. And we had heavy luggage during our stay.…
We had a phenomenal experience at Stay Pineapple, SF. Super comfy beds and hot steamy showers! Jackson Lovely and team were absolute rockstars and they made our vacation memorable and fun! Highly recommended, Stay Pineapple, SF - They treat you like family! We are planning are next trip, San Diego here we come!
The location was convenient to Union Square and the cable car stop. It's also only a block from a delicious cafe (Lapisara) we discovered for breakfast on our last day in town. The folks at the front desk were always very kind and helpful and provided great recommendations, including Resolute, a cozy and friendly little wine and beer bar just a block or two away. The lobby has a very cool vibe. Don't miss "Stretch," the dog sculpture near the meeting rooms. (The artist's pieces were discovered by Michelle at an art gallery just a few blocks away.) The rooms are small but nicely appointed and very comfortable. The only slight disappointment was the bar and breakfast service (or lack thereof), but it didn't impact our otherwise enjoyable stay.
We recently did a west coast driving trip which started with 2 nights in San Francisco. We chose to stay at the Staypineapple, and are glad we did. The inn is "an elegant hotel" right in the city. Everything is sparkling clean, and while the rooms are small (it is, after all an old, but renovated hotel) they are quite nice. Easily walkable to all we wanted to do, or a short Uber ride away. One of the things that made our stay so pleasant was the caring attitude of the desk staff during our stay. Jackson Lovely and Erick could not have been more helpful. If we should find ourselves in San Francisco again we would definitely consider the Pineapple.
