We had two rooms for a family reunion from 9-16-21 to 9-19-21. Let me start with the fact that only valet parking is allowed so you have to be dropped in the street and walk in, after 8 pm as the main entrance of 4th St. closes. Next, the check-in process, allow plenty of time it is disorganized and slow with long lines and also, hopefully, there are no airline employees checking in as they are given top priority. The hotel location is great and rooms are clean but do not expect them to clean them every day, Sat. we left for a wine tour at 8 am returning at 7 pm only to find out that neither one of our two rooms were made up. I went to the lobby and they apologize and said someone would be up. After waiting for 1.5 hours went back to the lobby, mind you every time you go there there is at least a 30 min wait to talk to somebody as they are always busy, the same lady apologized again and said she was fixing to call me to let me know that the cleaning personnel had left for the day, I asked her when she planned to call me her reply was "as soon as she had a free minute" ..., at this point she apologized again and said thta they were short on personnel do to the Pandemic, I said if they had notified people ahead of time that not all services would be available them you had an option to go or not, she then replied that it is better that no one entered the room and I would not have to worry about exposure to Covid-19, she then said she would gladly send somebody with towels or anything else I would need, as you can imagine we never got them. Also, never saw anybody cleaning doors, elevators, etc. as advertised on the website or all over the hotel. Check out, I tried to do it using the TV but it said that my folder was never found, so as you can imagine around 11 am, official hotel check out time, the line at the lobby the good news was now they had 4 people instead of the usual 3 so it only took 42 min. Also, all entrance doors have signs that said show your keycard to enter, security was there but never ask me or anybody else in our party to show the room key. This is a Marriott Marquis but it is well below the chain standards, extremely disappointed and they have now lost a customer.

the location is magnificent, the omni leaves you right in front, public transportation in san francisco is exceptional, i couldn't believe it, at least when i went May 2021 it was incredible, unfortunately the cable cars are deactivated due to the pandemic, san francisco It is beautiful, very beautiful, but it is very neglected in terms of tourism, at night we went for a walk and we only saw homeless people around the hotel, this should not be allowed in a tourist area, there are policies to locate and remove them, in New York They worked years ago, as for the hotel, it has a basic mini lunch market open until 10, the rooftop they told us was closed, and this was not reported on the page, the room is very comfortable, very spacious, the bathroom is great , I would only put normal doors, this new style that they are adapting is seen as cheap and uncomfortable for the guest. We did not have breakfast included, many places were closed, restaurants, we arrived at 11pm and everything was closed to eat by the hour and others permanently, and this is supposedly a tourist area, it hurts to see such a beautiful city in those conditions, it is unfortunate.

I want to thank the entire Marriott Marquis team for taking such good care of my family over Labor Day Weekend. Every single employee we encountered was professional, friendly and helpful. After experiencing several difficulties during our stay in July, the Marriott Marquis seems to be on the right track to recovering from the COVID nightmare. As always, the location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable and all COVID protocols are strictly followed. As Platinum Bonvoy members our room was upgraded and some accommodations were made due to the closure of the M Club Lounge. No, it's not the same as it was pre-COVID, but it's trying hard to get there. I look forward to many future stays.

Be careful with this hotel! I was closely contacting to Covid case and recommended for quarantine for two weeks after making a reservation with this hotel. I made a decision not to go there to protect my community. I explained my situation and surprisingly they didn’t care whether I come or not!!! It was shocking. I don’t trust them at all about their cleanliness policy during this pandemic. I would like to avoid this hotel even in the future. I was spending more than 20 hrs to get their response and finally received their decision after a month. They didn’t refund my money. I really disappointed the Marriott and this hotel management team. Marriott is getting worse. They didn’t value their costumers.
