Been staying here 20 years and the recent refurb has really brought it up to date with a modern feel. The newly re-opened 46th floor Cityscape is a must visit ! The rooms are spacious, modern in their furnishings and generally of a very high standard in all 3 towers of the hotel.

We stayed 2 nights as part of a tour so needed parking which the hotel had, a whopping $57 (self park not valet even) per day! There may have been other places to park but we had 2 large suitcases which we didn't want to be wheeling too far. The car park seemed to be in the middle with the... More

Stayed here at the beginning of our recent vacation. Our room was in Tower 3, 16th Floor, poolside. Spacious room and ensuite, and most comfortable bed. There was a small patio, very handy for relaxing with a glass of wine! Extremely busy bar in the foyer, however, there is the Cityscapes Bar on the 46th Floor which offers fantastic views... More

The only positive thing with this Hilton is its location. It's central to most places a tourist is interested. The hotel is dirty. The front of the hospital has cigarette butts, empty cups, etc. Personnel rude - doorman, bellboy and security. They think that if you are not dressed well that you are not a guest of the hotel. The... More

We were surprised by the number of beggars on the streets, every doorway and street corner. And the smell of urine on the surrounding streets was overpowering..so we soon learnt the routes in the area to avoid these distractions. Due to a conference on at the same time the room prices seemed extra high...

I like Hilton Hotels because of the consistency in quality and service. This hotel is older. Even though I stayed in a newer room, it smelled funky and after I left my clothes smelled funky too. The room and the hallway smelled that way. Like stale vomit and skunk. My room was exceptionally clean and the cleaning staff were friendly... More

We are Hilton Honors members so we were upgraded to a nice jr suite on the 18 floor. Room was large and had a nice city view. The hotel has a nice large bar and several restaurant/snack areas inside. Near shopping and restaurants and only a short cab ride from fisherman's wharf and other attractions. We even took the metra... More

Huge busy hotel: exactly what you'd expect. Room not bad size for central San Francisco, comfortable beds and good amenities. But lighting could be much better and does the decor have to be so relentlessly gloomy?

I was able to take BART from the airport and then walk to the hotel. Check in was quick and efficient. Hotel itself seemed a little tired and worn out. Room itself had a nice view and everything was clean. Internet was ok that seemed to come and go. Breakfast buffet was $42 for nothing fancy.
