If you like being treated like you are an inconvenience and a nuisance, then you will like this hotel. I bought a Southwest Vacations package and it was fully paid in advance a month before arriving. The desk clerk, a man named Ram, kept saying in broken English that it was not paid for and he needed to charge my...

We paid double the normal price for this hotel because it was a Street Faire Weekend. We chose it because it was near where we need to be. Waited 20 minutes to check in while the one attendant was helping other and on the phone. This hotel has it rooms spread over properties on both sides of 7th st. We...

I found bugs in the hotel room. Since there were only few bugs I decided not to complain or report it to the hotel. After I checked out, the hotel is accusing me of bringing bugs in the room. Now I am trying to resolve the problem , hotel staff are not being very cooperative. I wanted to talk with...

The hotel itself is well taken care of and in a great location on Folsom, and the rooms are also decently clean; however, my friend and I were very disappointed with the service. The hotel staff is unorganized and frequently confuses items like length of stay, guest names and most importantly, the rate per night. Several times we had to...

The Hotel was conveniently situated for my family and light on the budget considering it is downtown S.F. and no parking charges. We stayed for a couple of nights. The Room and bathroom was clean and recently remodeled (budget hotel style). Free WiFi was an added benefit since many of the hotels are charging for it in the area. The...

I had a great experience at this hotel it's was very cheap, and pretty close to the downtown area the staff was friendly. If you're a student looking to travel and dont want to spend the big $$$ thats a great option!

This is to advise you that the Knights Inn in DT San Francisco is the WORST hotel I NEVER stayed at. Having had booked a reservation for one night at the hotel the night before I had arrived, I had obviously made this reservation very last minute and it was because of a job interview that I had scheduled for...

We arrived at thsi hotel late in the night as we where driving up the coast from Pismo Beach, CA. We didnt have any hotel reservations, and we booked this hotel over the phone, the guy claiming that this was a Ramada. However, he later told us the it was a Knights Inn. As we arrived at the hotel, our...

Room 204 has bed bugs. It's not worth it to stay there, as my boyfriend and I did when we went up to SF for New Year's. Now I'm obsessed with trying to dis-infest my luggage. Since my boyfriend didn't have a reaction to the bites (some people don't) he just thinks it's crazy that I won't let him into...

Needed a place to stay on a sunday before my flight out monday afternoon. Found a very decent rate on this motel, I've seen parking in san francisco at 4 star hotels in union square that were more expensive than my nightly rate! Room is pretty basic, but you do get free high speed internet and are located in the...

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
