Located at the intersection of historic North Beach and world-renowned Fisherman's Wharf in downtown San Francisco, California, Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, San Francisco is the ideal choice for discerning travelers seeking a break from the ordinary. Because we believe your experience in San Francisco shouldn't have to end when you walk into your hotel. We call it "urban sleek," our guests describe it as "industrial chic," "hip nautical," and simply "one of the coolest rooms I've ever stayed in." We're unlike anything else you'll find in Fisherman's Wharf or downtown San Francisco, which is exactly how we like it. Recently renovated, our vacation rentals have meticulously curated waterfront-themed décor, with high-end custom finishes. All rooms include: Serta Platinum Suite II mattresses, 55" TVs with media hubs, complimentary WiFi, eco-friendly bath amenities, in-room safes, mini-fridges and coffee makers. I stayed here years ago when it was Pier 2620 Hotel, its a great location on Fisherman's Wharf. They keep it Covid 19 clean, social distancing, masks. But they have problems of fires and smoke; Dolphins just beat 49'ers. I enjoyed a cable car ride through the steep hills of the city by the Bay. I enjoyed lunch at Pier39. The hotel staff is friendly; everything is complementary.

They’ve scammed hundreds of people into buying a timeshare here don’t. The rooms are tiny and were not clean, and there is no business center. The food in the tiny restaurant is tasteless. There isn’t even a pool. The timeshare presentation is high pressure. Run away quickly!

Read the reviews and was a little apprehensive, but all for naught. Great little hotel, spacious room (we are here for two more days) with only one wall dressed in industrial chic. Deliberately asked for a room without a view because in my experience that view comes with noise. Our room has no view to speak of (#356) but also gets no outside noise. All the usual stuff provided in the room (small fridge etc.) no restaurant or real breakfast served here (remember it's a MVC and not a full fledged Marriott , but there is a full fledged Marriott right across the street). Downstairs in the lobby they provide Starbucks coffee and some small pastries for breakfast but there are ample full breakfast places within a block (I eat at Pat's Cafe as I need a good breakfast but don't eat lunch). There are a large number of choices for a full dinner in all directions and they cover all economic ranges, but this is San Francisco so nothing will be very cheap. Dinner on Pier 39 at Fog Harbor Fish House for two with 4 drinks was a little over $100 but was delicious and the hotel gives you a discount card that covers a lot of eating places and such and takes 15% off most food items. The neighborhood is a good one, nothing sketchy at all and San Francisco blocks are considerably smaller than New York blocks so the 3 blocks to Fisherman's Wharf takes a lot less time than it would in NYC. Yes the car is stored for $58 a night but that is not as expensive as it might seem compared to other hotels right next door. There are public parking buildings in the area, but I( have no idea what they will run you. Snacks available after 3 in the lobby..all manner of chocolate chip cookies and small candy bars and we've had Ghiradelli hot chocolate each night about 7. Weather gets cool at night (we are only 3 blocks from the ocean after all) but has been in the 60s the two days we have been here. I can't tell you about cost since we there on points, but it's great for us.

Within easy walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf, the Pulse is in an ideal location for visitors to SF. The lobby and common space is fine, being quite new. Clean and bright. The rooms however have a distinctly industrial feel. The wall behind the bed has wallpaper looking like concrete ! Steel drawers and table suggest, I guess, a theme of Alcatraz ! But they clean and comfortable. The parking fee (valet only) is a bit of a pain at $60 per day

I booked the MVC Pulse for 2 nights for a business trip. It was one of the more cost effective hotels in the City. It met my needs for the trip but does have a few drawbacks. The hotel itself is within walking distance of a lot of restaurants which was good since I did not have a car. The hotel rooms have a kinda modern/industrial theme. I was in a two queen room and it was spacious enough. The bed was comfortable too. There were some noise issues from the street traffic starting about 5 am each morning. To the hotel’s credit, they provide ear plugs in the room. The biggest drawback is for a business traveler the room is not designed with much workspace. There is no dedicated desk, and while there is a table that can be used for a workspace there are no power outlets in that location and rather than a chair, there is a metal stool at the table. As long as one is not planning on doing a lot of work at the hotel I would recommend it as a decent option close to downtown.
