This hotel was full of puzzles and wonders! Very interesting and practices sustainability. Highly recommend for stay at San Francisco. Play room was one of my favorite features, next to free water fountain where you can refill water as long as you have a bottle. On every floor, there’s also ice machine as well as water fountain. Concierge was extremely trustworthy! Security was tight- but also respectful and polite.

TERRIBLE - We, Australian travellers, have had no experience with hotels at Fisherman's Wharf - and our expectations were high - we were extremely disappointed. The positives are the location, quirky styled and decor - and a very cooperative night shift reception guy who helped us change rooms. The negatives are numerous. In February 24 we arrived, dripping wet, from a poorly organised disembarkation from the Queen Victoria. Our luggage was unloaded by a great taxi driver, however the "door" staff at the hotel either did not notice, or chose to ignore us. One finally appeared when we started to move our bags inside. The receptionist was surly, dismissive, and, while we were checking in, my companion asked could she use the coffee machine - the response "it is for guests only"???/ - almost like we were from outer space - we were in the process of checking in!! The waterfront room allocated was ridiculous. The toilet was so close to the bath, I had to sit sideways due to a dicky knee - - and I am not "large". We were on the 3rd floor with one above us. Very early on the next morning, we were awakened by noisy plumbing and people stamping above out heads. We were also near an elevator which gave a very loud "ding" when anything arrived (Really!!!). At 6.30AM I went to reception to change rooms. The night shift reception guy was very friendly and accommodating, and in a very short time, had us on the 4th floor in a spacious room with a usable bathroom. We thought we were sorted - little did we know. That night were thought there was a racetrack above our heads - a very loud variable zoom noise - we were below part of the hotel air-conditioning system. My companion could sleep with bomb going off, and even she could not sleep initially. Changing rooms again was an option, however we were a bit over it and who knows, it may have been worse - so we eventually slept out of sheer exhaustion. So - a very poorly constructed hotel with noisy elevators, and some staff who are in serious need of customer service training. Should anyone consider this very expensive hotel - good luck - We, Australian travellers, will never recommend the Zephyr. We am amazed you are still in business. And apologies for not recalling the name of the guy who helped us change room.

Helpful staff, local attraction tickets available. Plenty of space. Games area. The rooms are large, clean and have everything you need on holiday. Great location, close to the piers and attractions. 5 minutes walk from most things. Handy I-Hop diner just around the corner for meals.

Hotel Zephyr is located in a fantastic waterfront location; steps to lots of restaurant options, shops and attractions (sky wheel, boat tours, Ghirardelli Chocolate factory). Quirky, fun hotel. Fitness centre has good equipment, game room for the kids, enclosed patio for the kids to run around safely and a fire-pit to wind down after a long day of sightseeing (bonus: s’mores kits too)! Rooms are clean and housekeeping did a fantastic job. Check-in and out was a breeze. Definitely recommend this hotel.

👇 🅷🅴🆁🅴 👇 is where we stayed in San Francisco, California & would consider staying again 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍 𝑫𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒔: 📍 Hotel Zephyr San Francisco 250 Beach St San Francisco, CA 94133 Room Type: Deluxe Partial Bay View w/ 2 Double Beds & Balcony (1 night stay) 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧? Yes! Personally, if you stay here, we suggest to stay in a Bay view room or specifically request a room that overlooks the courtyard... otherwise your room will be sitting along the busy streets, whichcan be loud. For refrence, the building is a U shape, thus having the courtyard/bay view rooms will be catching sunrise. This hotel went thru a massive renovation in 2015 & wowza! They did an excellent job in the lobby & updated the rooms to feel comfortable, simple & clean. Be prepared to be in awe when you first enter the lobby, with all the eclectic & unique chic shipping container pieces & touches perfectly placed throughout. And when I say there is no lack of FREE entertainment, you will understand when you see the game/entertainment room & the courtyard. This is not just an area for kids, but as adults, we thoroughly enjoyed it too! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭: 🔸️Secured parking available for a fee: Self Parking $65 + tax or Valet Parking $75 + tax (see picture also) - with valet, you can text a number & get your car immediately up front 🔹️Welcome s'more & bottled water 🔸️Pets allowed to stay (fee applies) 🔹️In the lobby, you will find an espresso machine (coffee & tea for free), along with games & entertainment (outdoor secluded courtyard for guests only with firepits & seating), plus a concierge to help with booking activities nearby 🔸️$35 resort fee (subject to change) 🔹️Decent sized gym onsite with a filtered water dispenser 🔸️In-room: iron, iron board, hairdryer, coffee maker, fridge, shampoo & conditioner secured to shower wall, small safe, crib available upon request 🔹️Along the outside of the building that faces the Bay, they have whats called the Zephyr Walk which consits of multiple shops & restaurants on the buildings entire block 🔸️ADA accessible rooms & property 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭: 🔹️They were in the process of replacing their boiler system & during the day, you would not have access to warm water. They did warn us up front (also supplied a written document stating this). So if this may be an issue, I suggest you call the hotel directly & verify if this project has been completed 🔹️We love that they have thought about the 'little' things, and I am specifically talking about the unique touches throughout the hotel. As a 'welcome gift' (so to speak), they supply you with a s'mores kit (1 per each guest in your party), 2 complimentary water bottles, & a discount/free entrance coupon to a nearby attraction. They also supplied a qr code to get 20% off of admission to Madame Tussauds (I believe this type of offer gets rotated to different offers & entertainment). 🔹️The customer service was excellent & every team member we came into contact with, was in a cheerful mood & ready to help. 🔹️Location, location, location! The Zephyrs front doors are located 1 block from the famously known Pier 39 (Fishermans Wharf San Francisco). Not to mention it is within walking distance to multiple shops, restaurants, & entertainment. It is also only about 16 miles from the San Francisco International Airport 🔹️ Connected to the hotel (located outside in the courtyard/ back patio area) you will find The Socialite Crafthouse & Kitchen, and they were in the process of adding what looked like a food truck/camper in the courtyard area as well. 🔹️ We did notice the rooms with a balcony, still had what looked like the original sliding glass doors (from the 70s) & were pretty heavy and required a little 'umph' to open & close 👉 🌎 We travel for a living (USA & around the globe) and love to share our experiences here! Fel free to follow along our travel and adventures below! Happy Travels ✈️ - Ashley & Nate from the Adventure Encounters

Having come to SF for JPMorgan many times, I know how hard it is to find a nice place to stay in a good location at a reasonable price. And nearly impossible to find a place that can provide a dedicated meeting room that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The Zephyr was perfect and special thanks to Claire who manages events.

Nice new and clean hotel. Thoughtful guest services. Manager Lisa and her team helped get room ready ahead of arrival as requested. Good location and easy to get to cable car and beyond. A step above other hotels in the Hyde street / Bay Street areas — which often look pretty tired. Good job.

We didn't know where to stay in San Francisco. This hotel is right on Fisherman's Warf, where there are lots of restaurants. It is also very easy to reach on foot with the cable car. The hotel has a games room with a pool table, among other things! Great for our children. The marshmallow barbecue by the fire in the courtyard is also perfect. I would go there again in a heartbeat
