Our stay started out pleasant. Great location you can walk to restaurants. Room was clean nothing fancy. When we left we forgot to get our belongings out of safe. We called and was given the run around. We did not get anything back. Very disappointed.
Back after a month & this place never disappoints. Excellent staff service and you always feel like your family. Like coming home. It is the staff that makes the place. Johnson who always made sure we were enjoying our stay. He is just so amazing. Anthony who works so hard to get us settled in our room and who always has a big smile for everyone😊. Sel from the front desk who is such a sweetheart. The kind housekeepers and parking attendants. Wow! Just awesome customer care. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful the staff and the hotel stay was. I would definitely keep coming back home to Hotel Zephyr. Please help support our local Bay Area businesses. 🙏. Don’t hesitate to book here. You will not regret it!
The amenities at this hotel are enough to leave guests satisfied. The room had a few cosmetic blemishes, but nothing terrible. The biggest complaint we had really was not the fault of the property at all, but someone next door was smoking in their room and we had to move. Most of the staff we spoke with were friendly, particularly Rebecca (front desk), Prince (bellman), and Jonathan (interim GM). Nancy (front desk), however, while able to get the job done, lacked customer service and general friendliness - every time I dealt with her she would cut me off and seemed very impatient as if we were bothering her. As someone who has worked in resorts, this really stood out to me because it was so rude. Rebecca was a gem in comparison who greeted us with a smile and seemed eager to help. The area is very walkable and public transportation is a breeze. I would recommend Hotel Zephyr, but make sure you deal with the right people at the front desk.…
We booked Zephyr hotel for Birthday week-end and exploring San Francisco. First of all , GREAT location- walking distance to main sightseeings and attractions. We had a very clean and spacious room with a bay view and balcony. Very polite and helpful personnel. Thanks to the hotel concierge service for flowers and nice amenities for Birthday and discounted tour tickets and helpful recommendations for restaurants.
It is the staff that makes the hotel a memorable place to stay. I love that the hotel is warm and inviting and still captures the era of old San Francisco. We met the General Manager Johnson Menezes who made sure he greeted all the guest and spoke to them to check how their stay was. Very seldom do we see this happen anymore with other hotels as they become more techie. Very clean rooms, comfy beds and smores at night really puts you in a holiday spirit. It is right next to the Fishermans Wharf that is currently bustling with vendors lined up to sell comfort food on the streets and stalls selling their wares. Yummy! Makes one feel like a kid again. The constant free water they provide you in the front desk and the free water dispenser on each floor were very thoughtful touches by management. They do cater to their guests. If you love the city or have to come for work and conferences, this is the place to be. I booked for next week to celebrate a friend's birthday so looking forward to eating the hot dogs and Beignets and walking with good friends all day on the wharf. Visiting the Aquarium, Exploratorium, Museum of 3D Illusion and Ripley's Believe it or Not or maybe take a bay cruise. All just right next door to the hotel. Fun time! Please support our Local Businesses and come to San Francisco for the Holidays and stay in hotel Zephyr. Tis the season to be jolly!…
I stayed in Hotel Zephyr for 4 nights during my whole visit in SF, and I can see why this hotel is one of the top rated hotel due to the fanciful amenities they provide, and the location to the fisherman’s wharf and Pier 39. Front desk check in was quick and easy, and they gave some s’mores for roasting at their outdoor fire pit. There’s lots of fanciful amenities in this hotel like the games room and outdoor fire pit, but I feel that the management should focus on what’s important like amenities in room. There’s is no fridge provided in room, neither is there a kettle. When I asked for a kettle and was told there is none, and no access to hot water anywhere in this hotel, I was shocked. Had to go to the nearby target to get a kettle. Someone also had to bring a fridge to the room. Weirdest was that the bathtub didn’t have the water plug, and you have to ask for it to get one. Someone has to come by to install it for you. The final straw for me, was when I wanted to borrow a vacuum to DIY vacuum my Vacuum bags for my luggage, I was told that I can’t borrow one. When asked whether someone can come by and help me vacuum my bags then, I was told no. No one can come help me with it, sorry. Wow! After staying in hundreds of hotels all over the world, this is the first. I won’t come back to this hotel again in future. It isn’t cheap in the first place, I rather pay more for another better experience.…
This is the second time we have come here and we have enjoyed ourselves consistently. The s’mores and the games on the ground floor are always a fun time. Free water at the front desk is awesome as well. The rooms are spacious and wifi is solid. Location is perfect for walking around the Pier 39 and Chiradelli Square.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location to Fishermans whalf and pier 39. The rooms were clean , had alot of trouble with the lift while we were there . The staff were pleasant. The restaurant was a relaxed place with good food and great staff.
The hotel lobby, location and games are great. Although the rooms are very, very outdated and require renovation, the beds are small and uncomfortable, and the bathroom and bathroom are very outdated. There are hidden costs that increase the price significantly and it is a shame, it is desirable that the hotel presents a final price that includes everything. The bottom line is a good location, a lobby equipped with games is the best part, very outdated rooms and a high price is the worst part
We just returned from a stay at Hotel Zephyr and the best part of the hotel is the location as well as the variety of onsite games/seating areas for families. The game room is great, along with the fire pits for roasting smores. Our room had a balcony facing the bay, which offered brilliant views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The minimal issues we had with our stay were quickly and professionally handled by the hotel manager Johnson Menezes. His willingness to listen and his top notch customer service is the reason why we would return to this hotel as well as recommend it to others.
