I had a quick in-and-out visit to SF and decided to try the Phoenix Hotel and what a good surprise it was! It was a wonderful stay, just too short! Great location...I could walk anywhere with plenty of great places to eat and just a short jaunt downtown. And, Chambers, right next door was an excellent choice for happy hour... More

The rooms were spacious for San Fran and being open to the pool area and only on 2 floors gave a sense of inclusion. Orlando from the front desk was amazing. Not only was he super friendly but also very helpful with tips as to where to eat and drink. I would certainly stay there again. Only negative was there... More

The hotel is very clean. We slept with four persons in a room and it was enough room for all of. We heard the Pool Parties are awesome but we missed because we arrived to late. The guys from the reception are really smart especially Orlando. They gave us pretty good informations and you can talk to them when ever... More

The Hotel is might not in the best area but the great arrival at the reception makes you feel like home. The polite receptionists will be there for you 24/7 if you have questions to get somehow. Also you can find a good restaurant right next to the hotel with a small but delicious menu. If you prefer a short... More

I had a great time on a trip for my 25 wedding anniversary. My husband and I were visiting from Swainsboro, Georgia. My Gawd, the Tenderloin is anything but tender. However the Phoenix hotel was my Oasis! Excellent and Polite Staff! Great Location.

We had a staycation at the Phoenix last week with our 7-week-old baby. I picked a Monday night (the bar is closed Sunday/Monday evenings) and it was decently quiet in our first-floor, poolside room (#11). Although the windows don't block sound much, the blackout curtains are excellent and the room was spacious enough for all our baby gear. The entire... More

To save a bit of money and stay someplace a bit funky for a work trip, I stayed here with a coworker. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful (with tips around the hotel for places to eat). Keep in mind when you arrive is that it's an old motel that was refurbished and "hipsterized". The room was... More

Location is a bit iffy but hotel ticks all the boxes - pool party on for our stay but as promised all finished and cleared. Rooms big - bathrooms a bit tired - staff very sweet. Breakfast a bit of a let down. Great to come back to pool at end of day.

The hotel is the perfect location to explore San Francisco. The neighborhood is difficult but true and once you enter the lobby you experience a positive warm feeling. I would recommend this hotel to anybody traveling to San Francisco. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back soon

We spent three nights here and loved it. The look is very cool with a 60s vibe. Our 14 year olds loved the heated pool even though it was chilly out. The rooms are very comfortable and modern. We had dinner with a large group in the adjoining restaurant which was very good and the staff on the desk are... More
