My friends and I stayed at the Phoenix Hotel last week and were absolutely delighted with the very start when the front desk person was extremely welcoming and fun! We were very pleased as we walked through the very pleasant grounds to our very clean, and spacious room. We were very comfortable, but hungry, so we ordered food from Chambers....

Stayed here over the weekend with my boyfriend for our birthdays. We stayed in a Deluxe King room on the 2nd floor and it was roomy and well laid out. We especially loved the balcony off the back of the room; nice to chill, drink and look over the street. The Tenderloin area isn't that bad nowadays but I can...

Searched a a couple hours before finally finding a hotel with good location and self parking, which I discovered a lot of hotels in the area don't have and charge extra. Cool restaurant and very warm pool on sight. Loved the freaky frog sculpture. No fridges in the rooms. Nice decor and extra touches. Friendly staff.

We had our work holiday party at City Hall and wanted to book a room nearby, so we wouldn't have to make the drive home. Based on the great reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to give the Phoenix Hotel a try and we weren't disappointed. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, comfy beds, central location, and continental breakfast were just...

This was our second stay at the Phoenix and it did not disappoint. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the heated pool is awesome and plenty of free parking. Bar and restaurant very enjoyable. Will definitely be back.

A really cool, gracefully-aged and well-cared for hotel providing a nod to the music industry. Safe and clean with wonderful employees providing warm and welcoming service and insights to the city. Wonderfully located. Uber never more than 5 minutes away. Terrific Vietnamese restaurant across street!

I've stayed at the Phoenix twice this fall and just booked my third visit. That alone is a rave review! But the reasons are even better: Great staff, nicely finished interior spaces, and good rooms. And one free parking space per room! (Very rare in San Francisco.) The neighborhood is the Tenderloin, and it is somewhat nasty at times, though...

I love the idea of this hotel with the pool, the fun decor and the restaurant, Chambers, it's a winner (as long as it's not Sunday when the restaurant and bar are closed). That pool is well worth a dip and at 85 degrees was quite inviting. So as many others have mentioned the neighborhood is not for everyone. I...

I love the vibe at the Phoenix and free parking to boot :). Orlando was very welcoming and helpful. As a Joy of Life member, we get bottled water on arrival :). This motel was walking distance to see James McMurtry at GAMH. This is my 3rd stay at the Phoenix and not my last.
