This hotel is in a good location within the financial district. Close to BART. It tended to be cheap when it came to extras. I mean, for $250, put two soaps in the shower for cryin out loud! No in room coffee--you had to down to where they served an expensive buffet to go access the coffee bar. Hotel bar... More

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your experiences with your stay. We are happy you enjoyed the location, front desk and concierge and we want the rest of your stay to be just as nice. Extra soaps are always available and we can bring a complimentary coffee maker to your room. I am sorry if we did not... More

I'm happy to say that my lady and I have stayed at some very nice hotels the San Francisco Bay area and the Le Meridian is right up there at the top! It's in very close proximity to the financial district, The Embarcadero, North Beach (Great Italian food on Columbus) China Town and Market Street for some good shopping. The... More

Stayed here for 1 night after going to a Giants game for my husband's birthday. The room was nice, quiet, clean, comfortable. Room service was nice, the restaurant was pretty good-lack of servers on a Sunday morning meant we had to wait awhile for coffee. My main objection was the customer service. Upon check in, I was barely greeted, no... More

My husband and I stayed at Le Meridien for 2 nights while we visited San Francisco. The room was modern, clean and a decent size. The only complaints that I have was that the water pressure of the shower was not strong enough, the pillows were too high and despite being on the 13th floor we could hear a lot... More

I stay at this hotel while in town for work. Overall, it's a nice, expensive hotel with a friendly staff, but a few days a week, loud protesters march in front of the hotel VERY early in the morning with bull horns. The hotel didn't let me know that this was something that happens every week when i checked in.... More

Thank you for writing about you recent stay.  I am very sorry about the disturbance and empathize with you.  The protestors are not affiliated with or employees of our hotel, and as such we don't know when they will arrive. They do not inform us prior and they are protected by their legal rights. Management is closely monitoring the situation and we... More

In room dining a disaster. Prawn cocktail with horseradish sauce was 5 jumbo prawns ( a bit whiffy so not eaten ) plus a tomato salsa sauce. Asked for an omelette but apparently it was not the right time of day! It can't be that hard! Competing with other hotels on this trip it's way down the list.

We were here for two nights. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Everyone was very helpful from the time we stepped out of the cab till the time we left. One of those people was Laura the concierge. She was very helpful in finding us a great place for breakfast, Eagle Cafe pier 39. It was delicious and fast so... More

We had a first class experience after booking this at an excellent price as an 'unnamed hotel on Hotwire. Large rooms and very good service from all the staff we spoke to. As it's right in the middle of the Financial District very quiet at night but Uber is your friend :). Would definitely stay here again.

Generally enjoyed my business trip stay here. Good location for SOMA/finance district access, and if you want to see SF more generally. In room service was good - Crab cakes were delightful. Good bed, quiet aircon, good location for starting runs along embarcadero.

We booked this hotel as we are SPG member, the tariff was approx 500$ a nite as we opted for a quad room. While booking we didn't realise that it's a typical business hotel, no pool, no restaurants and only best part was the location as we were quite close to the pier, rooms are good and we got a... Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
