Stayed here with 2 families on the weekend. The price was good, location was good. The rooms are a bit run down with some of the chip board coming off the basin in one room and they smell a bit musty so take a nice candle but bang for buck this is a good hotel for the price and we... More

If you have a car and wish to stay in the Middle Polk area then you have to consider the Nob Hill Motor Inn. This is the second time we have stayed here and like the easy access to many of the tourist areas and rather than use the car we use public transport if we want to go to... More

If you dont have your own car, you should find another hotel. This hotel is too far from downtown SF. Taxi or Uber is $9-12. Then it is better to spend this money on another hotel closer to downtown. However if you have your own car, Nob Hill Motor Inn, gives you value for money because of free parking. Rooms... More

As this was our first trip to San Francisco, we were unsure as to where to stay. Fishermans Walk was very expensive with anything up to $50 parking fee on top. We chose the Nob Hill Motor Inn as it had free parking, wi fi, breakfast etc. The staff were all exceptionally helpful, the room was large with a fridge,... More

This place has free off street parking, a lift and close enough to bus line and cable car to be a good starting point. Room was large, well furnished and well appointed with fridge, microwave, coffee machine, large comfortable bed. Continental breakfast ( large range of pastries ) was included.

Wonderful little place in middle of city. Clean, quiet, free parking. Inexpensive and relatively easy walk to fisherman's wharf. Manager was very helpful with directions and helping with transportation.

In a previous review I was very unhappy with this Inn. The manager moved us our second day to Room 219. It had been redecorated. It was a great improvement over Room 108. Unfortunately the flat screen TV only got one channel. The maintenance staff brought us a new remote and this corrected the problem. Room 219 was fine and... More

Looking for a place to stay that was in expensive, in the centre of San Fran and free parking. This place was perfect and fit all 3 of my criteria. The staff were extremely friendly and helped me with the do's and dont's of San Fran and the places to go and see. The room was amazingly clean and modern... More

The rug in our room was filthy and thread bare. It made our skin crawl. There was trash in the corner by the microwave. The desk staff is nice and agreed to give usb another room. Stay some place else. We stayed here for the location close to the Marina area.

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
