We came for a Giants game at AT&T park and enjoyed it very much. The staff was very nice, helpful and welcoming. The room was perfect for what we needed, I personally loved the crown molding, the warm old style hotel feel. We had a room on the 5th floor in the corner with a tremendous view of the city... More

My friend and I stayed at this Victorian built hotel for two nights. Our room was the Twin deluxe which meant we each had a twin bed and the bathroom In the room. Though small, as most European hotel rooms are, it was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a restaurant right next door with... More

Hotel prices are generally high in SF, and therefore for the price we paid this hotel is clean, friendly and in a great location with two roof top bars right by it, the only let down was breakfast but don't let that put you off

We stayed in double deluxe room. Nothing deluxe about our matchbox room. We paid extra to have own shower & toilet facilities. On arrival we asked for a room on a higher level due to street noise but alas we were allocated 3rd level. Very noisy, street wise & other guests inconsiderate in banging doors. Doors are very noisy anyway,... More

The hotel facilities are nice and the room was ok. There is a lot of noise from the surrounding area, but it is to be expected when you stay downtown San Fransisco (Bring earplugs). The staff was very helpful and nice to us. All in all this was better than I expected. Oh, the bed was comfy as well.

We used The Mosser as a day hotel. Check in at 10am and check out at 6pm. The staff were very courteous and helpful from the bell hop to reception to the cleaning staff. We did 8 days in San Francisco earlier that month at a different hotel and we wouldn't book ourselves into The Mosser for that long. My... More

Great location in the heart of the city. Trams close by to access the wharf and the SF bridge. Major shopping in walking distance. Hotel is of older style but has been renovated with new décor. We had a room with its own bathroom and it was well worth it for the value we were paying. Not too expensive for... More

This was our final hotel of Tour de California, we totally forgot about the communal bathrooms. Really not as bad as it sounded though, and actually would totally do it again as you're not really 'sharing' the bathroom and it wasn't busy when we were though so never waited once. Room was tiny (don't have big expectations) but was very... More

The room has approx. 9 m2. No toilet nor bathroom. You have to use the one located on the corridor, which is of course used by other people staying on the same floor. 1 m from the window you have pure brick wall. You cannot even open the window, as the noise outside is so big, that you cannot hear... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
