Ideally located hotel in union square. Spacious room with huge very comfortable bed . We received a welcome pack with bottle of white wine and two bottles of water and some snacks in it. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in San Francisco
The hotel is very near to Union Square - it’s a 2 min walk to the large shopping centres, MAcy’s and Bloomingdales and close to the terminus for the infamous cable cars. Staff are lovely, helpful & accommodating
As a couple other recent reviews stated, I can’t give a low enough rating for the horrendous customer service we experienced at Hotel Abri. No information about parking costs in Airbnb listing so I checked the hotel website and called and was informed by both that the NYE special included free valet parking for one vehicle. Upon check in we were rudely informed that the special doesn’t apply to Airbnb bookings despite there being no info about this on the website or given when I called. They refused to honor the special and charged $80 for valet. When we returned to the hotel for the night we were very rudely informed that our 2 friends were not allowed to come up to our room due to a NYE policy. When we asked for the details about the policy SAM refused to provide any information and told us we should have read the fine print on the waiver we signed at check in. We, like most, had not read the fine print when we checked in and just wanted the guy to explain the policy to us, but he continuously refused to do so and argued with us about why he didn’t need to do that. What kind of hotel refuses to explain their policy to its customers?! Our guests decided to wait in the lobby while we went upstairs to change before coming back to wait with them for their Uber. When they stepped out onto the street for a cigarette Sam followed them out, harassed them and told them they were trespassing. Our friends could not believe the treatment they received. At check out I spoke with the manager about my experiences the prior day and night. She at first apologized but then began making excuse after excuse for her staffs behavior. The policy is the policy and we understand that, but there is no reason for guests to be treated the way we were when we simply asked for the policy to be explained to us. She also again blamed Airbnb for the lack of any information about parking, and had no reason to give as to why their website didn’t state that specials are not honored if booking is through Airbnb. There was no way for us to know this before arriving to check in. When the valet brought our car he parked it around the corner and didn’t tell us until we asked where our car was. The manager then followed us out to our car to take the luggage cart back before we were even done unloading our luggage and putting it in our car then proceeded to yell at us and call us horrible guests and say we couldn’t come back. As if I would ever come to this hotel again!! Please book your stay ANYWHERE else but here - a motel 6 would treat its guests better than Hotel Abri.…
Everything was great! My husband and I stayed one night and it was very last minute. Easy to booked and good deal. The deal included free valet parking! Everyone was nice and Norriel at the front desk was super nice with us!
Hotel staff were rude and intolerant. I had ongoing issues with the key cards to my room, the staff were rude and stand offish, did not try to assist but instead continued to blame me for the card problems. When I stated that I felt I was being treated poorly they refused to listen and becoming aggressive towards me, making unfounded accusations and threats. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.
