Stayed here for a conference. Pros: - Excellent location, right by Union Square, easy to get anywhere in SF via public transit, taxi, Uber, etc - Friendly staff whow ill go out of their way to address any issues - Secure location, you have to use a card to get into the front door so the people outside can't accost you Cons: - Small/old rooms, it's an old building but the rooms felt cramped and very dark - No room servicing - at no point did anyone come to clean or remove the trash - Weird smell - pervasive throughout the hotel My first room smelled awful and the staff was able to relocate me to another (less smelly but still odor-ish) room, which I appreciated. Pick this place if you are going to spend most of your time OUTSIDE of the hotel and only use this space to sleep.

We found Hotel Abri on Hotel Tonight. The staff was helpful and the location was perfect. We selected an interior room which meant it was quiet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There are excellent restaurants nearby and the cable car turnaround was fun too!

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Abri for four nights while we were in San Francisco for a business trip. The hotel is a lovely building that embraces modern and classic aesthetics. The staff was friendly, professional, and personable. They offered recommendations for many walkable dining options in the area. It is conveniently located one block from the BART Powell Street station and very close to the Moscone Center. We were in room 416 which faces Ellis Street. The street can occasionally get loud at night which may or may not interfere with sleep. My wife slept through everything that woke me up. That said, the room was clean and cozy. We will stay there again on our next trip!

There is a strange smell that is all pervasive, probably a cleaning product and is impossible to get rid even with ventilation, but it was unpleasant. I accidentally paid my deposit with a debit card, I’m still waiting for the hotel to return it so if you’re there do ask when I’ll get it (6 weeks so far).

There are advantages to staying in an older hotel. The walls are substantial so the room is quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was renovated, and the dressers had many large drawers. We hotel door was one block from the cable car and subway. There is coffee and tea in the lobby during the morning. There are several restaurants within two blocks of the hotel serving breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Staying at the hotel Abri in San Francisco was pleasant as always, was my 3rd time staying there, has great staff that are very helpful and accommodating , its in a great location to explore San Francisco. My only gripe as I booked well in advance , but i had noticed while i was there if you booked the same week i stayed breakfast was included at the resto across the street, i think it should have been offered when i checked in considering i was staying for a week. Other than that i will return and stay at the same place.

We stayed here for three nights, and overall enjoyed our stay. The building felt safe given the entrance was always locked. Staff there were very friendly and check in was easy. It was a quiet stay in a good location. I was expecting the room to be more updated. The lobby was nice, but the hallways and the rooms could definitely use an update. The pictures on their website must be of an updated room, because what we got was very different. Nevertheless, we really didn't have any complaints and would stay here again if we were to return to San Francisco.

Great service, very friendly staff, rooms need updating, never got room serviced which I thought was odd, they said on the 3rd day- spend 5 nights, we did get towels when requested. Location is good. Nice welcome gift upon arrive.

Pros: Amazing location. Just a two minute walk from essential stores/pharmacy, the cable car, Westfield Shopping Mall, coffee shops, and just a 10-15 minute walk to the Embarcadero/the Piers Very secure hotel - hotel lobby entrance door was locked at all times Reception staff very helpful Reception was beautiful and comfortable Room was always clean and stocked with enough towels, bedding, toiletries, toilet paper etc Reception had a fairly reasonably priced mini bar with snacks and drinks Reception had a filtered water tap/fountain Cons: Room was quite small and room/hallways were fairly dated and in need of painting Room and hallways were quite shabby, it felt like an old NYC hotel that had a refurbished lobby but still shabby rooms

Not the best of hotels. The room on the fourth floor was dark, small and very noisy at night. To be told in checkin that there would be no room service for 3 days was disappointing. We are supposed to be staying in a hotel, we’d like our room cleared.
