Stayed here with friends when we were in town for a giants game and doing some sight seeing. The location is great being walking distance to fishermans wharf. Great service. Friendly faces. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. All around it was a pleasant stay we had no complaints.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is in a great location, the staff couldn't be nicer, the beds are comfy and the bathroom was large and modern. We were given vouchers for money towards food and beverage. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious.
We chose this property for its excellent location and highly competitive rate for our six-night stay. We were confident that Marriott’s standards would ensure a clean environment and quality stay. We have been delighted with the opportunity to use the $20/night “destination fee” to offset our breakfast each morning with the vouchers we received at check-in. I was unaware that this was even possible; it was unexpected and appreciated! The restaurant service has been excellent and the food delicious! We chose to order off the menu (vs buffet) and, because we learned after the first morning that the portions were huge, we’ve spilt a breakfast entree each morning thereafter. The waiter kindly brings an extra plate for us to share and sometime the kitchen splits our order before it’s served. Kudos to the Fisherman’s Wharf Marriott!…
We stayed for 2 nights in April and had a good experience. Pros: The location is a short walk to Fisherman's wharf which ended up being our favorite area in San Francisco. After checking in we walked over to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and walked to the Alcatraz Tour. You can also catch a Big Bus tour in this area if that is something you are looking to do. Pier 39 was really cool and within walking distance. They have a bunch of little shops. We walked around in the morning before anything was open and got some cool pictures. You can also see seals out in the harbor here! Cons: Our flight arrived early and therefore we got to the hotel early. We were well aware that our room would probably not be ready but we figured that they would at least be able to hold our bags until our room was ready. They said our option was to check in early at $40 so just be aware that if you are there early this is the option. There is also a destination fee every day of your stay at $20 each day which adds up. They do give you a food voucher that for this amount so its wise to use it otherwise you're just wasting your money. We ended up using the 2 $20 food vouchers at the restaurant off the lobby (Food was good! Also, bonus that you can take it to go). There is also a lot of homelessness in this area. Beware of your surroundings in general. We did not have a car during this stay so I do not know the parking situation. We did however pick one up on the Saturday that we left and the Budget rental was down the street and was very easy to pickup. We just walked over with our luggage. Less than a 5 min walk.…
PROS: Friendly valet. They allowed us to park the car for 15 min to check in as we were in a hurry to unload the luggage and return the car by 4pm. Fast check in. Spacious room, decent bed $20 restaurant credit per day due to their “destination fee”. I didn’t really finish it up. CONS: Breakfast was just OK. I wouldn’t pay extra for it when there are so many nice breakfast spots around the area. I ate there on the last morning to clear my credit. Front desk staff were just OK. Restaurant staff and valet staff were great. The restaurant staff gave me a bottle of water each time due to the dining credits I had. Wasn’t a fan of the pillows but still had great sleep. Not many tv channels but there’s an option to login to your own Netflix or YouTube account.
Hotel location was very good. It has an excellent customer service. It is very close to Pier and other attractions. Room was very clean and size was enough big. You can walk to restaurants and small cafes. Highly recommended!
We were pondering if we wanted to stay in Fishermans Wharf area, but we decided to and it was a great spot. This hotel was just a few blocks from the pier and a quick 10 minute walk to anything. Great hotel, clean, really friendly staff. Valet parking was pricy, but i think that is par for the area. Would stay here again.
The location of this property at the Fisherman's Wharf was the reason we stayed at this hotel. We wanted to walk up and down the Embarcadero. The employees of the hotel and the staff at the dining room are the assets of this hotel. Otherwise, the room was very ordinary for a Marriott, and amenities very basic and minimalist: two coffee packs, two creams, two cups, etc., only two towels in the bathroom. No extra blankets or pillows in the closet, no safety deposit box. No microwave! Also, unless a guest wanted to park on the street, the hotel underground parking fee is $60 per night, plus their resort fee. Needless to say, I doubt I will return to this specific hotel.
My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights during our spring break. We had a blast and loved our room at this hotel. We stayed in a an extended queen room with a courtyard view which was very clean, spacious, and peaceful. All of the staff members were so nice and welcoming whenever we returned from our daily adventures. We ate breakfast every morning in the hotel, and it was a high quality, delicious meal that was made quickly and so convenient. The concierge gentleman gave us water bottles for free a couple times on our way in or out and he was always so kind. I was also impressed that daily housekeeping was an option because many hotels have stopped that during Covid, but it was greatly appreciated! The location is perfect walking distance to everything and to hop on a cable car to go on an adventure in the city. 10/10 would stay here again!…
I have stayed here a few times. I believe the excellent rate was likely due to some construction that was occurring. I will definitely come back again. The people were nice and I love this location. If you are looking for a central location and access to some great restaurants, this is a good spot
