Stayed here for a couple of nights on a business trip in Oct. 2019 and enjoyed the hotel very much. The room was excellent, with soaring views over the city (and Salesforce tower, haha). Everything was very well appointed. The hotel restaurant was also fantastic. I had dinner there with friends and we ordered a wide array of dishes to try and every one of them was excellent.

My husband and I travel relatively frequently, and the Loews is a force to be reckoned with, as far as hotel stays go. We stayed in February and had an outstanding time - our room was a bridge to bridge view, which in and of itself, was worth the stay. The bedding was to die for - enough to have me ripping the sheets off to check the brand...let's just say that they're top quality, and above my price range lol. We visited the hotel restaurant, Bear and Monarch, once each day during our three-day stay. The service there was impeccable and the bartenders made sure we knew all of the in's and out's and hotspots around the city, it being our first time to San Francisco. Did I mention the food? FANTASTIC. Drinks? FANTASTIC. I can't remember one time that we opened the door for ourselves when leaving the building, as the wonderful doormen were always there to take care of that, as well as provide us with directions and a friendly smile. I hear that this is making a switch to the Four Seasons within the next few months, and I hope that they continue to uphold the current standard!

My husband and I enjoyed a 3 night stay over Valentine's weekend. We stayed in a bay view room that was well worth the money. The views were amazing and the room was very large and comfortable. When we arrived our first evening we were jet lagged and hungry. We ordered room service and asked for an electric tea kettle for some tea I brought with us. I drink tea nightly and housekeeping noted my request for a tea kettle and made sure each night I had fresh teacups, honey, and sugar. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels but the Loews Regency had the most kind and attentive staff. Everyone was friendly and willing to go above and beyond for us. We loved our stay and would definitely stay their again when we return to San Francisco.

I have been here twice in two months the first time was what I thought was nice but didn't realize they never explained any of the amenities to me. They literally made us check in not explaining anything and sent us to our bridge to bridge view room($550) the second time our friends met us here.. they were informed of all the amenities and we weren't aWare of any! They have a courtesy luxury car that they never told us about! JULIAN THE FROMT DEsk REP from the night shift on 1/10/20 was extremely rude and disrespectful! He argued with us and gave us a aggressive look.. the bar closed at 11:30pm because it was slow when it says it closes at 12am! This is a rip off not worth $4-700 a night

My wife and I wanted a fun, easy weekend in SF and were surprised at how well Loews Regency made this happen. We had a great visit from reception all the way to checkout, were pleased with the valet service and all hotel staff were quite friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location is fantastic and convenient. We are both active and enjoy walking/jogging/cycling so the location is perfect for access to the Ferry Bldg, Embarcadero, up and around to the Marina etc. While the hotel apparently no longer has a spa, there are plenty of good massage and pedicure places around so we took advantage of these during our stay. Also walkable to some great restaurants. Paid a small bit extra for a bay view room and were not disappointed, very nice view. Rooms are well cared for and very comfortable, yes they are not brand new but I'd still say quite good. Beds are the right amount of firm (not squishy soft, which kills my back). The windows are able to be opened a few inches, a huge plus for me as I certainly prefer to have a bit of fresh air when we can especially when it's a nice SF Bay clear evening. Overall, very happy with our visit and will definitely be coming back again.
