I'm staying 3 nights here as I terminate a lease on a nearby apartment. We're still in COVID-19-land, so no usual amenities are available. In the face of that, the staff have been incredibly attentive. I can get tea or coffee in the lobby, and when asked about decaf in the morning, the staff brought a full pot to my room rather than just alerting me to come help myself. It's tough being in the hotel business during this time, but these folks are rising above - way above - expectations. Other great things about this place - I'm staying on the 2nd floor and the window actually opens, letting in the wonderful SF breezes. It's also an easy walk to many, many great take-out restaurants. When public transit resumes, it has the advantage of being on many major bus lines. All that said, if you like luxury, this isn't for you. It's a refurbished old motor inn, and while it's perfectly comfortable, there's only so much they could do with what they had. Bathroom is upgraded and modern and the room is spacious. There's a tiny fridge and small closet. For me...if and when I need to come back to the area, this will be my first choice of accommodation.

Staff in this hotel go out of their way to assist guests with whatever they need and REMEMBER THEIR NAMES. Always clean, quiet. Location is away from center of city but local transit readily available outside the door.

I stayed at the Laurel Inn when it was a "motor inn" in the 1980's. What a change! The furnishings are lovely, reception staff courteous and welcoming. Housekeeping does an excellent job. For a busy intersection in SFO, my room was quiet, with a view of downtown SFO. The adjacent Laureate Lounge is good for bar snacks and lively ambiance. The continental breakfast fare is limited, but just a few steps away is Ella's Cafe for full breakfast at good quality and value.

A great boutique hotel off the beaten path in San Francisco. I will be going back. Tonya was a great help. Rooms are clean, nice view of the city. Great cafe close by. Away from the tourist areas and has a great vibe.

My main complaint was double beds instead of queen. My husband is 6 ft tall and his feet hung over the end of the bed. Cost was pricey for what we got. The room was neat and clean. The location was perfect for our needs.

Dear Teri, Thank you for taking the time to share about your recent experience; we are saddened not to have been able to provide your husband the restful night's sleep both of you deserve when choosing to stay with us. Unfortunately, few hotels in our beautiful city are able to offer two queens vs doubles when booking two beds. Many times, we are able to offer a king upon request; however, if availability prevented us from doing so during your recent stay, I am truly sorry. Kindly feel free to reach out directly to the manager, so we may best see how we may turn your experience around. We appreciate your kind words on the cleanliness and ambience of the property and hope that when you look for a convenient location, you will give consider giving us a second opportunity to create a better first impression. Thank you for sharing and welcome back!
