Stayed here on a couples holiday, Pros: Nice view Pool is a lovely addition Not bad location, about 15$ in uber and you can get a cable car or a few buses go to the centre Starbucks next door is great addition Coffee amenities etc in room were good Aircon was great Cons: Restaurant was overpriced considering it came in a polystyrene box like a takeaway Mouldy lasagna in the fridge of restaurant If you turn right when you come out the hotel towards center its great, but turn left towards city hall location goes very rough Customer service is a bit hit and miss Overall, I would definitely stay again but perhaps stay away from restaurant and eat out when you can.
What a great deal. This hotel is very reasonably priced, it well located for easy access to many SF highlights and most importantly, the views from the hotel are impressive. We slept with the curtains open from our 21st floor room so that we could wake up to sunrise over the water. Wow, impressive. We found the rates to be reasonable, the staff to be friendly (in general) and the location is great. There is a Whole Foods two blocks away and the best donuts west of the Mississippi are also two blocks away (and open 24 hours).
I checked my card and found an extra charge for $500! They sent me photos after I asked the photos were of a broken blow dryer (that we didn’t use also diff color) and bits of weed (which we didn’t even have) horrible experience. Staff was no help
The Holiday Inn is a hidden gem. Some of my favorites: -Blackout curtains, they truly keep the glaring sun out of the rooms! I struggled to wake up on time because of how dark my room was. But the moment I rolled up the blackout curtains I was greeted with a ray of sunshine! -Alkaline water dispenser in the gym. This water...it just hits different. It's crisp, refreshing and cold! -The Staff. All of the staff i interacted with is super friendly, and helpful. Everyone greets with a friendly hello, or head nod in passing. -The parking garage is secure with a full roll up door. You can't just walk into the garage from the street. You either have to check in with your car and grab a parking ticket, or walk through the lobby.
We reached the hotel after a long journey from Columbus. The front desk was very helpful and they helped us with an early check in which was a huge relief. The rooms were neat and clean. There is an inhouse restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel
We stayed here for a couples trip and it was ok. The staff did a fine job. The hotel was clean and our room was nice and clean. We had a small fridge in our room which came in handy. There is also a nice restaurant and bar downstairs. There is a CVS vending machine on the 1st floor where you can purchase some medication and other important items. The fitness center is very nice and spacious with a filtered water system. The ice and vending machines are located on every other floor. There is also a nice microwave area on the Lower Level since the room did not have a microwave. The parking is $40 per night. Housekeeping has to be requested daily which we did and they did a great job of keeping our room clean. This hotel is conveniently located next to the Cable Car that stops at California and Van Ness. We rode this all the way down to the Ferry/Port of San Francisco. There are also multiple buses that stop on Van Ness in front of the hotel which made it easy for us to get around town without having to pay a ton for Uber. We purchased a 3 day Muni pass for $31 which was unlimited rides on buses, cable cars, trains etc. There are somethings that you need to be aware of if you stay here. We asked the guy at the front counter for a recommendation for lunch and we went to eat lunch and ran into a lot of homeless people on the way. We didn’t know that we were staying near an area called the Tenderloin. I didn’t feel comfortable walking through this area with my wife and I saw somethings that almost made me turn around. If you stay at this hotel, I advise you not to walk in that direction but walk in the opposite direction towards California Street where it’s safer and much nicer. The walls in this hotel are super thin. We heard conversations on both sides coming from the other rooms. The bed was so squeaky that I thought about trying to get some WD-40 to see if that would help. There are 6 elevators but at least 1 or 2 of them were out of order. The cleaning guy had 2 elevators closed down at the same time while he was cleaning them out. I don’t understand why you would tie both elevators up at the same time while cleaning. Would be better to clean them 1 at a time. Overall, this hotel was fine. Also, the shower and tub drain was not working properly. It drained the water very slow which caused the water to fill up in the bottom. If we come back to San Francisco, we will definitely stay in a better location that’s no so close to the Tenderloin and a hotel with a little better quality.…
This hotel is close to almost everything either by a 10-20min walk or 5-10 min Uber/Lyft. The hotel was very well kept and clean. We were on the 15th floor. They have a little store or shop in the lobby and plenty of seating in the lobby and dining area. The hotel is close to a Starbucks and a Wells Fargo Bank. It had a CVS vending machine inside. Great Price. It doesn't offer an airport shuttle but the ride to airport was about $30. If I return to San Francisco I'd definitely stay again
Location is good. There is a nice grocery store a block away, but as far as cleanliness, hotel is not good. Floor was "sticky" and in-room fridge was disgusting (see photo). This hotel was booked through my employer, but I wouldn't stay here on my own for pleasure; especially if I was traveling with family.
THE VIEW!!! Our room was on the 25th floor and the view was spectacular!!!! The sunsets were amazing (be sure to close the blinds during the day while out sightseeing so you don't come back to a super hot room). The beds were soooo comfy. The AC (when on) was a bit noisy, but we lucked out and no AC was needed at night. We also found the hotel quite walkable (there are a couple of fantastic neighborhood parks nearby, and the trolley stop next to the hotel was super convenient. Tip: get the Muni day pass ($13) vs. single tickets (one single trolley ride will cost you $8) and you'll save a bunch of money. The 3-day pass is $31. Our favorites around the hotel were Cafe Moka, Bob's Donuts, and Swan Oyster Depot. Another great thing about this hotel is the Whole Foods ~a block away. Make no mistake: This is no 5-star hotel, and it does it pretend to be, but the helpfulness of the staff, the comfortable beds, and the price can't be beat!…
Stayed here a few nights before we travelled round California. Walking distance to Fisherman wharf and shops but Uber also quite cheap. Great wee burger joint round corner , bit expensive but burgers lovely. Hotel was great, nice big room great view. Nice pool area and lobby food had a good selection.
